Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Hioki 9643 CHARGE STAND. To
obtain maximum performance from the instrument, please read this
manual first, and keep it handy for future reference.
The 9643 CHARGE STAND is made for use specifically with the
9447 BATTERY PACK.
Use always the 9418-15 AC ADAPTER (SA145A-1240V-6,SINO
AMERICAN).

mishandling during use could result in injury or death, as well as damage
to the instrument. Be certain that you understand the instructions and

Initial Inspection
When you receive the instrument, inspect it carefully to ensure that no
damage occurred during shipping. If damage is evident, or if it fails to operate
according to the specifications, contact your dealer or Hioki representative.
Maintenance and Service
To clean the instrument, wipe it gently with a soft cloth moistened with water
or mild detergent. Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol, acetone,
ether, ketones, thinner or gasoline, as they can deform and discolor the
case.
If the product seems to be malfunctioning, Contact your dealer or Hioki
representative. When transporting the product, use the original packing
materials in which it was shipped, and pack in a double carton. Damage
occurring during transportation is not covered by warranty.

benefits of the various functions.

Battery Charging with the 9643 CHARGE STAND
The 9418-15 AC adapter (SA145A-1240V-6,SINO AMERICAN) is required to
charge the Model 9447 BATTERY PACK with the Charging Stand.
1. Install the battery pack in the charging stand.
2. Connect the 9418-15 AC adapter (SA145A-1240V-6,SINO AMERICAN) to
the charging stand. The LED blinks red and then stays on as rapid charging
begins.
3. After about two hours, rapid charging finishes and the LED turns green as
supplemental charging begins.
After quick recharging the battery pack, trickle charge it for approximately
10 hours. This ensures that the battery pack is fully recharged. After it is
fully recharged, the 9643 CHARGE STAND continues trickle charging the
battery pack in order to prevent natural discharges.
(When the battery pack is quick recharged only, this unit can be used for
approximately 70% of the total full charge time.)
