Important safety instructions
These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety. Ensure you fully understand them
before installing or using the appliance.
Your safety is paramount importance. If you are unsure about the meaning of these warnings
contact the Customer Care Department for assistance.
Intended use
The refrigerator is intended for use in the home. It is suitable for the storage of food at low
temperature. If the appliance is used for purposes other than those intended or used incorrectly,
no liability can be accepted by the manufacturer for any damage that may be caused.
Alterations or changes to the refrigerator are not permitted for reasons of safety.
If you use the refrigerator in a commercial application or for purposes other than the cooling of
foods, the manufacturer accepts no liability for any damages that may occur.
Prior to initial start-up
Check the appliance for transport damage. Under no circumstances should a damaged
appliance be plugged in. In the event of damage, please contact your supplier.
Refrigerant
The refrigerant isobutene (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a
gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.
During transportation and installation of the appliance, ensure that none of the components of
the refrigerant circuit becomes damaged.
The refrigerant (R600a) is flammable.
Caution: risk of fire
If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:
zAvoid open flames and sources of ignition.
Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated.
The instructions shall include the warnings:
WARNING! — Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure,
clear of obstruction.
WARNING! — Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting
process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING! — Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
WARNING! — Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the
appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING! — This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person

responsible for their safety.
WARNING! — Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance
WARNING! — If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
WARNING! — When disposing of the appliance, do so only at an authorized waste disposal
centre. Do not expose to flame.
WARNING! — Please remove all the doors before you dispose your refrigerator.
WARNING! — The fridge is only applied with power supply of single phase alternating current
of 220-240V/50Hz. The fridge must employ a special power socket instead of
common one with other electric appliances. Its plug must match the socket with ground wire.
Safety of children
Packaging (e.g. wraps, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children.
There is a risk of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children!
Make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable,
break or remove spring or bolt catches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot
lock themselves in the appliance when playing (there is risk of suffocation!) or get themselves
into other dangerous situations.
Often children cannot recognize the hazards present in household appliances. It is therefore
important that you ensure adequate supervision and never let children play with the appliance!
Daily Operation
Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures. There is a risk of an
explosion! Do not store any containers with flammable materials such as spray cans, fire
extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the refrigerator and/or freezer.
Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator and/or freezer (e.g. electric ice
cream makers, mixers etc.).
Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and unplug it.
When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull on the cable.
In case of malfunction
If a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the “Trouble shooting” section of
these instructions. If the information given there does not help, please do not perform any
repairs yourself.
Under no circumstance should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Repairs carried out
by inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning. Contact our contact centre
on 1800 447 367 for further instructions.

Remove transport packaging
The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transportation. Pull off the adhesive
tape on the left and right side of the door. You can remove any remnants of adhesive using
diluted eucalyptus oil. Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the
appliance.

Installation
Installation Location
Before installing, carefully read the instruction in order to avoid a certain number of problems.


Positioning
Position the appliance away from sources of heat such as stoves, radiators, direct sunlight etc.
Maximum performance and safety are guaranteed by maintaining the correct indoor
temperature for the class of unit concerned, as specified on the rating plate. This appliance
performs well from 10°C to 43°C. The Appliance may not work properly if it is left for a longer
period at a temperature above or below the indicated range.
IMPORTANT!
There is a need of good ventilation around the fridge for easy dissipation of heat, high efficiency
of refrigeration and low power consumption. For this purpose, sufficient clear space should be
available around the fridge. We advise to leave a gap of 75mm separating the back of the
fridge to the wall, at least 100mm of space at its two sides, height of over 100mm from its top
and a clear space upfront to allow the doors to open 160 degrees.
Appliances must not be exposed to rain. Sufficient air must be allowed to circulate in the lower
rear section of appliances, as poor air circulation can affect performance.


Starting up
Insert the plug of the connection lead into the plug socket with protective earth contact. When
the refrigerator compartment door is opened, the internal lighting is switched on.

IMPORTANT! – in order to make the most of the volume of the fresh food storage compartment
and frozen-food storage compartment, the user can remove one or more shelves or drawers out
of the appliance, according to your daily use.
Refrigerator Chamber
The refrigerator compartment is for storing unfrozen food.
Refer to the following for recommended storage of food:
ķPart: it is suitable for storing eggs, etc.
ĸPart: it is suitable for storing butter and cheese, etc.
ĹPart: it is suitable for storing bottle liquid and canned food, etc.
ĺPart: it is suitable for storing moist food, etc.
ĻPart: it is suitable for storing cake, cooked-food and canned food, etc.
ļPart: it is suitable for storing fruits, vegetable and salad, etc.
zShelf of refrigerator chamber
There are two adjustable shelves in the refrigerator chamber, which can be taken out to be
cleaned.
zCrisper of refrigerator chamber
suitable for storage of fruits and vegetable.
zCrisper cover
for controlling the temperature of the crisper and avoiding

vegetables losing moisture. The controlling knob on the cover can be used to regulate the
humidity in the drawer, set the knob at “more humidity”, less moisture loss; set the knob at “less
humidity”, more moisture loss.
zDoor bin of refrigerator chamber
It is suitable for storage of eggs, canned liquid, bottled liquid and packed food, etc. Before you
take the food out, please lift up the door bin cover vertically, and do not place too many heavy
things in the bin.
Temperature regulator in refrigerator chamber
Insufficient refrigeration in chamber.
Set the temperature controller at “Colder”.
Using the refrigerator in normal.
Set the temperature controller at “Mid”.
Notice: Do not place the food on the air outlet,
and leave spaces for airflow.
Important!
High ambient temperatures (e.g. on hot summer days) and a colder setting on the temperature
regulator can cause the compressor to run continuously or even non-stop!
Reason: when the ambient temperature is high, the compressor must run continuously to
maintain the low temperature in the appliance.
Changing the Light Bulb
Warning!
If the lightbulb requires replacing you may do so yourself - please note that if your not confident of
performing this task, it is best not to attempt it thus avoiding any hazard or harm - please contact
our service hotline on 1800447367 for information.
Before changing the light bulb, switch off the appliance and unplug it, or pull the fuse or the circuit
breaker.
Use a phillips head screw driver to take the screws out..
Remove the light cover by pushing down the two bottom ends of the plastic
cover and draw up the cover.
Unscrew the bulb.
Replace with a 10 watt-refrigerator bulb that is of the same shape and size.
Replace the light bulb cover.
The method of changing the light bulb on the left side and the right side is the
same.

Freezer chamber
It is for freezing and storing frozen food and making ice cream, etc.
Ice making
1 Take out the ice tray.
2 Fill the water in level of line.

3 Place the ice making tray in its original position. When ice is formed,
twist the handle according to the direction of the arrow to drop off ice
cubes into the icebox.
NOTICE:
(1) Ice box is inadvisable to be used to make ice, otherwise it
may crack.
(2) If it takes a long time to make ice, please do not hold the ice
tray directly to avoid the ice tray sticking and hurting your
hands.
Temperature regulator in freezer chamber
The temperature regulator allows you to regulate
the temperature inside the Freezer.
For heavily stacked frozen food or ice making,
please set the temperature control knob at “Colder” position.
For moderate usage or stacking of the refrigerator,
please set the temperature regulator at the middle of “Colder” and “Cold”.
zImportant! Normally we advise you select setting at the middle of “Colder” and “Cold”, if
you want the temperature higher or lower please turn the knob to “Cold” or “Colder” setting
accordingly.

Reversing the door
Warning!
The fridge has been built with the door hinges on the right. If you wish to change the opening
direction, please unplug the fridge from its electrical outlet, empty everything in the fridge,
including shelves, food, etc. All parts removed must be saved to reinstall the door.
Before you start laying the refrigerator on its back in order to gain access to the base, you should
rest it on soft foam packaging or similar material to avoid any damage at the rear
of the refrigerator.
1. Stand the refrigerator, first remove the
screw cover and unscrew the upper
hinge cover which is at the top right
corner of the refrigerator, and use a putty
knife or thin-blade screwdriver to
prize the screw hole cover which is at the
top left corner of the refrigerator.
2. Unscrew the flange screws which are
used for fixing the right upper hinge part
(please support the upper door with your
hand when doing it). Lift the upper door
and place it on a padded surface to
prevent it from scratching.
3. Remove the upper hinge axis, transfer it
to reversed side and tighten securely,
then put it in a safe place.
4. Remove the two flange screw, then
remove the middle hinge that hold the
lower door in place. Lift the lower door
and place it on a padded surface to
prevent it from scratching.

5. Remove the hinge hole cover from the
left holes as illustrated and transfer them
to the uncover hole at the right side.
6. Remove the screw nail of the door
stopper, and transfer them to the left sid
of the door, then tight the screw nail.
7. Lay the refrigerator on soft foam
packaging or similar material. Remove
both adjustable bottom feet parts, and
remove the front feet fixed board and the
lower hinge part by unscrewing the
special flange screws.
8. Unscrew the bottom hinge axis and
remove it to the hole which is side-by-side
and screw it.

9. Replace the lower hinge part to the left
side and fixing it with the flange screws.
Replace the front feet fixed board to
another side and fixing it with the flange
screws. Install the adjustable bottom
feet parts.
10. Transfer the lower door to the property
position. Secure the door’s level, make
the lower hinge pin into the lower hole of
the door, then tighten the bolts.
11. Upturn the middle hinge part the direction
180 degree, transfer it and adjust its
position, Make the middle hinge axis into
the upper hole of the lower door, tight the
bolts.
12. Transfer the upper door to the appropriate
position. Secure the door’s level; make
the middle hinge axis into the lower hole
of the upper door.
13. Transfer the upper hinge part and make
the upper hinge axis into the upper hole of
the upper door, and adjust the position of
the upper door(please support the upper
door with your hand when doing it), fixing
the upper hinge part with the flange
screws.
14. Install the screw hole cover on the top
right corner of the refrigerator. Install the
upper hinge cover (which is in the plastic
bag) on the left corner and screw it. Put
the other upper hinge cover into the
plastic bag.
15. Open the lower door and install the door
shelves, then close it.

Energy Saving tips
1. Do not place warm foods into the appliance. Allow warm foods to cool first. Do not install the
appliance near cookers, radiators or other sources of warmth. High ambient temperatures cause
longer, more frequent operation of the compressor.
2. In order to make the cooling system work efficiently, please make sure the side plates and
back plate of the product are with some distance from the wall. It is strongly recommended that its
back is 75mm away from the wall, its sides at least have a space of 100mm separately and the
height from over its top is not less than 100mm.
3. When the product works, please do not open the door too often or leave the door open any
longer than necessary.
4. Do not set temperature any colder than necessary.
5. The direct cooling refrigerator (with a freezer) needs to be defrosted when necessary. This will
improve the cold transfer and reduce energy consumption.
6. Refer to page 5 which shows the right combination of the drawers, crisper and shelves which can
lead to the more energy efficiency. If users adjust the combination, energy consumption may be affected.
7. Store food logically. Do not exceed the storage period specified.

Care and maintenance
zCleaning method
1. Please wipe the refrigerator with a soft cloth, use warm water or neutral detergent
2. Then dry it with another cloth.
3. For any hard to remove stains such as glue or oil we recommend to use a diluted solution of eucalyptus oil.
4. It is advisable to clean your refrigerator once a month.
zMaintenance of plastic parts
If any of the plastic parts in or around the refrigerator are contaminated by spillage. We recommend
cleaning immediately to avoid any cracks and or bad odours.
zElectric parts
Notes:
1. For the sake of safety, please disconnect the plug off before cleaning.
2. Avoid spraying water directly onto the refrigerator this could cause rust and weaken the insulation.
3. We recommend using a neutral detergent or diluted eucalyptus for cleaning. Do not use the following
as damage to the lacquer coat and plastic surfaces may occur:

zOperating for a long time
The ambient temperature is too high and Temperature controller in freezer chamber or in
refrigerator chamber is set at "Colder" position.
Too much food is placed in the refrigerator and insufficient spaces is needed for airflow.
The door is not closed completely or the gasket is not sealed enough.
Open the door too often.
zDew inside the cabinet
The ambient temperature is high and the door is open for a long time.
Liquid food is not covered before storage.
zFrozen foods in refrigerator
The temperature controller in freezer chamber or in refrigerator chamber is set at "Colder"
position.
The ambient temperature is below 5 .ć
Notes:
1. It is forbidden to disassemble any parts fixed by screws, and please ask the pointed local
repair center to repair your refrigerator.
2. It is forbidden to test any electrical parts in operation condition.

Disposal of the appliance
It is prohibited to dispose of this appliance in domestic household waste.
For disposal there are several possibilities:
a) Local counsels have established collection systems, where electronic waste can be disposed
of at least free of charge to the user.
b) As old products contain valuable resources, they can be sold to scrap metal dealers.
Wild disposal of waste in forests and landscapes endangers your health when hazardous
substances leak into the ground-water and findtheir way into the food chain .
Correct Disposal of this product

Upon calling the Hisense Australia Warranty Centre, you will be issued a JOB NUMBER, along with the details of
your nearest Hisense Authorised Service Centre to return your item for warranty repair.
Before making a claim, please make sure that you understand the terms and conditions of the warranty
x Check and ensure the installation of all power cables to the power point are secure and power is turned on,
all cables leads and connectors are connected properly and that all switches are turned on and functioning
x Check that there is power at the power point by using a small appliance
