The operation temperature for the product is etween -10℃~50℃.

Operating or recharging in an environment with a temperature over 50
℃ might cause the system to malfunction. However, this should e
considered a normal phenomenon. Please do not operate under

Safety Precautions
• Use the power adapter included with the package. Using other power
adapters than the one provided will result to malfunction and could
prove to e dangerous.
• The device should only e used with the supplied atteries.
• A out the power adapter:
1. Do not use the power adapter in a wet environment. When hands
and feet are wet, do not touch the power adapter.
2. While using the power adaptor, ensure that the area is well
ventilated. Do not let paper or other material cover the power
adaptor, as this will interfere with cooling. Do not use the power
adaptor whilst it is in a ag.
3. Do not attempt to repair the device. If device is damaged or is in a
wet environment, replace the device immediately.
4. It is not recommended to charge from a PC ecause the PC power
voltage is not enough to supply the device.

1. Use only the original factory approved charger.
2. A Lithium attery is uilt into the device. To prevent fire or skin
urns, do not disassem le, pierce, impact, or expose the attery to
fire. The attery will crack, explode, or release dangerous
chemicals if placed in a fire.
• Important instructions
1. Note: Replacing with an incorrect attery may result in an explosion.
When disposing of the attery, follow the instructions. The
replacement attery must e a factory approved original.
2. Regulations must e o served when recycling or disposing of
atteries.
3. The attery should only e used in this device.

• This warranty applies to parts and services that are manufactured and
sold through Holux Technology Inc. The local area covered is Taiwan;
the warranty length is one year from date of purchase (starting from the
date on the sales receipt). Under normal user operation, Holux
Technology provides free repair services.
 After repair, the replaced parts are the properties of Holux
Technology Inc.
• Holux Technology is not responsi le for providing repairs or
replacements of any software; Holux Technology does not provide any
warranty service for third party software/hardware.

Note: This warranty does not cover damage or malfunction from the
elow causes: unauthorized disassem ly/modification of unit, a use or
incorrect usage, accidental and other unpreventa le causes, operation
under varia les mentioned that are different from those in this product
user manual, using parts not made or sold y Holux Technology, or
repairs done y anyone other than Holux Technology and authorized
retail/service providers.
 Expenda le parts are not covered in the warranty.

Preface
We appreciate your purchase of the HOLUX car navigation.
Please read all instructions thoroughly for a full understanding of the
products’ features.
Precautions and Notices
• For your own safety, do not operate the controls of the product while
driving.
• Use this product prudently. The product is intended to e used only
as a navigation aid. It is not for precise measurement of direction,
distance, location or topography.
• The calculated route is for reference only. It is the user's
responsi ility to follow the traffic signs and local regulations along the
roads.
• When you get off the car, do not leave your device on the dash oard
that is su ject to direct sunlight. The overheating of the attery can
cause malfunction and/or danger.
• GPS is operated y the United States government, which is solely
responsi le for the performance of GPS. Any change to the GPS
system can affect the accuracy of all GPS equipments.
• GPS satellite signals cannot pass through solid materials (except
glass). When you are inside a tunnel or uilding, GPS positioning is
not availa le.
• A minimum of 4 GPS satellite signals is needed to determine current
GPS position. Signal reception can e affected y situations such as
ad weather or dense overhead o stacles (e.g. trees and tall
uildings).
• Other wireless devices in the vehicle might interfere with the
reception of satellite signals and cause the reception to e unsta le.
• A car holder is needed when using the device in a car. Be sure to
place the device in an appropriate place, so as not to o struct the
driver's view or deployment of air ags.

to prevent unexpected damage. If the correct procedures were not followed
for operation or incompati le accessories were connected, this is a

Using the In-Vehicle Bracket
A car holder and a car charger are supplied with your device.
CAUTION:
 Select an appropriate location for the car holder. Never place the
holder where the driver's field of vision is locked.
 If the car's windshield is tinted with a reflective coating, an external
antenna (optional) may e needed to route the antenna to the top of
the car through a window. When closing the car window, e careful
not to pinch the antenna ca le. (Cars with an anti-jam window design
may automatically leave adequate space as needed.)
The car holder consists of a racket and a stand. Use the car holder to fix
your device in a vehicle. Make sure that the GPS antenna has a clear view
of the sky. (See the document supplied with the car holder for the
installation instruction.)
For initial positioning, remain at the same spot with a clear view of the sky.
The GPS may take a few minutes to find its current location initially.
NOTE: Depending upon the specific model purchased, the car holder
supplied with your device may not look exactly the same as the picture
shown.

The included in-vehicle racket set can e securely suctioned on the front
windshield, or secured on top of the glove compartment using the adhesive
plate. This device will effectively secure the GPS unit in the vehicle. Follow
the procedures elow to secure the racket:
1. Install racket fixing
Screw can e loosened to adjust the racket fixing. Secure the screw when
the racket fixing is in a proper angle. Suction the racket fixing to the
windshield.
2. Install racket
Align the racket fixing with the in-vehicle racket as the illustration shown.
Insert the projection of the socket fixing into the mortise. Pull up the
projection until it is firmly seated.

3. Install GPS unit
Slide the GPS into the in-vehicle racket fitting holes to secure. Gently
push down until the unit is tightly fixed with the racket.

Connecting the Car Charger
The car charger supplies power to your device when you are using the
device in a car.
CAUTION: To protect your device against sudden surges in current,
connect the car charger only after the car engine has een started.
1. Connect one end of the car charger to the power connector of your
device.
2. Connect the other end to the cigarette lighter in the car to power and
charge your device. The indicator on the car charger lights in green
to indicate that power is eing supplied to your device.
Battery Status
Screen will show certain icon when attery exhausted, charging and fully
charged.
Icon turn white, it means the attery is empty and needs to
e charged, GPS could not operate, please charge your
attery at once
Turn pin icon, it means the attery is charging
Icon turn green, it means attery is fully charged

Inserting a SD/MMC Card
Your device has a SD/MMC slot where you can insert an optional Secure
Digital or Multi Media Card storage card.
To use a SD/MMC card, insert it into the slot, with the connector pointing to
the slot and its la el facing the front of the device.
To remove a card, first make sure that no application is accessing the card,
then slightly push the top edge of the card to release it and pull it out of the
slot.
NOTE:
 Make sure that no foreign o jects enter the slot.
 Keep a SD or MMC card in a well-protected ox to avoid dust and
humidity when you are not using it.

Getting Started
Performing the Initial Start Up
1. Press the ON/OFF utton for several seconds.
2. Your device will automatically turn on. Connect the car charger as
descri ed in the next section.
3. Then, the Main Menu appears as shown elow. You can now use
your device.

Turning Off
If want to turn off the device, press the ON/OFF utton for several seconds.
Then you would see the user interface as the right. is turn-off utton.
Pressing it you will turn off the device successfully.
If pressing the utton , the device will enter into sleeping mode for
saving power.

Main Menu
The first time you initialize your device, the Main Menu appears. The Main
Menu is your starting place for various tasks. Tap a utton to start a task or
open another menu.
