Features and Benefits
The Honeywell DH90 Whole House Dehumidifier is designed to provide
ultimate indoor air quality. The DH90 provides the three key components
of healthy indoor air: fresh air ventilation, particulate filtration and
humidity control. At the heart of the DH90 is a high capacity, energy
efficient dehumidifier capable of removing over 90 pints (11.2 gallons) of
water per day (at 80°F, 60% relative humidity), while using only 6.2 amps
of electricity (120V). This allows the unit to maintain indoor humidity
levels below 50%, the level widely recognized as critical for controlling
mold and mildew.

Operating Instructions
How do I set the humidity level?
The DH90 dehumidifier is controlled by the Honeywell H8908
dehumidistat. The dehumidistat sets the humidity level within
the home much like a thermostat sets the temperature. Set the
dehumidistat to your comfort level. A typical setting of 30 should
keep the home comfortable for most. If the home is too dry, set the
dehumidistat to a higher level. If the
home is too damp, set the dehumidistat
to a lower level. There is also a chart
on the front of the dehumidistat that
lists recommended settings based on
the outdoor temperature.

Fresh Air Ventilation with:
W8150 Fresh Air Ventilation Controller
The DH90 comes with the Honeywell W8150 fresh
air ventilation control. The W8150 along with the
optional Y8150 damper automatically controls the
ventilation based on the size of your home, number
of bedrooms and airflow of your HVAC system
based upon ASHRAE 62.2 Standard. Please see
the installation guide or talk to your installing
contractor on how to set your W8150.
Optional Y8150 Damper
The Y8150 damper provides optimal ventilation
control when wired with the W8150 fresh air
controller. Contact your installing contractor
to purchase and install the damper if your
Honeywell Whole House Dehumidifier was not
installed with one.
Maintenance
The DH90 is equipped with a MERV 11 media filter. This filter should
be checked every three months. Operating the unit with a dirty filter
will reduce dehumidifier capacity and efficiency and may cause the
compressor to cycle off and on unnecessarily on the defrost control.
A MERV rating of 11 means the filter is 85% to 95% minimum efficient at
capturing a broad range of particles. For greatest filtration and efficiency
of the DH90, it is recommended the air filter be replaced every three
months with a MERV 11 rated filter.
Check drain outlet and hose once a year to clear drain of any debris.
CAUTION: EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD:
DO NOT operate the unit without the standard filter or with a less
effective filter than the standard MERV 11 filter. The heat exchange
coils inside the unit could become clogged and require disassembly
to clean.
