16. This appliance has a built-in grounded plug.
Make sure the wall outlet in your house is
properly earthed.
17. Do not use the appliance for any other pur-
pose than its intended use.
18. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been provided supervision or in-
structions on the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
19. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
20. This appliance is intended to be used for
household and similar applications such as:
• staff kitchen areas in shops, ofces and
other working environments;
• farm houses;
• by clients in hotels, motels and other resi-
dential-type environments;
• bed&breakfast-type environments.
21. Always make sure that the appliance is in
good working order and that all its removable
parts are secure. Regularly check the power
supply cord and plug for cuts or damage.
22. Be sure your hands are completely dry befo-
re touching the switch.
23. Risk of scalding: the kettle gets hot during
use. Therefore use only the handle to pick it
up and open the lid only after the kettle has
cooled down.
24. Do not use it near the water in bathtubs, sin-
ks or other containers.
25. Only ll the kettle with water. Milk and in-
stant beverages will burn and damage the
appliance.
26. The kettle can only be used with the stand
provided.
27. While water is boiling, or just after the water
has been boiled, avoid contact with steam
from the spout.
28. Before pressing the power switch, please
make sure your cup is underneath the spout.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Carefully wipe the outside of the appliance to re-
move any dust that may have accumulated. Dry
with a dry cloth. Remove any labels or stickers.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ON SAFETY
When using any electrical appliance, always fol-
low basic safety precautions, including the fol-
lowing:
1. Connect and operate the appliance only in
accordance with the specications on the
rating plate.
2. Read all the instructions before using the
appliance.
3. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
a table / counter or touch any hot surfaces.
4. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot
gas / electric burner or in a heated oven.
5. Do not operate the appliance without
anything in it to avoid damaging the heating
elements.
6. Ensure that the kettle is used on a rm at
surface out of the reach of children. This will
prevent the kettle from overturning and cau-
sing damage or injury.
7. As a protection against re, electric shocks
or personal injury, do not immerse the cord,
electric plugs or kettle in water or other li-
quids.
8. While the water is boiling or just after the
water has boiled, avoid any contact with the
steam.
9. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly
and carefully without tipping the kettle too
fast.
10. Be careful when relling a hot kettle.
11. The attached base cannot be used for any
other purpose than its intended use.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving
an appliance containing hot water.
13. The use of accessory attachments that are
not recommended by the appliance manu-
facturer, may result in re, electric shocks or
personal injury.
14. Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in
use and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to
cool down before installing / removing any
parts and before cleaning it.
15. If the supply cord is damaged, have it repla-
ced by the manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualied person in order to
avoid hazards.

Do not immerse the supply cord in water or other
liquids. If you are using the kettle for the rst time,
it is recommended that you clean it before use by
boiling a full kettle of water twice and discarding
the water.
USING YOUR INSTANT
KETTLE
1. To ll the kettle, remove it from the power
base and open the lid by pressing Lid relea-
se button, ll the water tank with the desired
amount of water, and then close the lid. The
water level must be within the Min and the
Max level. Too little water will cause the ket-
tle switching off before the water has boiled.
The max capacity of the kettle is 1.5L.
Do not add water over the maximum le-
vel, as it may spill out of the spout when boi-
ling. Ensure that the lid is rmly in place befo-
re connecting the plug into a power outlet.
Ensure that the lid is rmly in place be-
fore plugging into power outlet.
2. Position the kettle on the power base. Make
sure it is positioned properly.
3. Place your cup on the drip tray grille. Make
sure it aligns with the spout.
When to choose the size of cup, it is re-
commended the capacity of the cup
shall not be less than 250ml as the water ou-
tput from spout is set 250ml for one cup by the
system. Make sure the cup is positioned in
place before using.
4. Connect the plug into power outlet, press
down the Power switch and its indicator will
light up, then start to boil the water.
5. After a while, hot water will ow out from the
spout, and after a while the Power switch will
be off automatically and its indicator will go
out.
Before removing cup, make sure water
is not to ow out any more.
During boiling, the operation can be
stopped by pressing the Stop button at
any time, while the indicator will go out.
The water owing out from spout is very
hot, handle carefully and never touch it
with hand to avoid scalding.
6. ìIf you want to boil water again, only press
down the Power switch again to restart the
kettle.
7. The kettle may be stored on the power base
when not in use. Always disconnect the po-
wer supply when not use.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate wi-
thout water, the boil-dry protection will automati-
cally switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the
kettle to cool down before lling with cold water.
CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power
outlet before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or po-
wer base in water and never allow moisture
to get in contact with these parts.
2. Wipe the outside of the body with a damp
cloth or cleaner. Never use a poisonous cle-
aner.
3. Remember to clean the lter on a regular
basis. For easier cleaning, detach the lter
by pressing it down directly. Then replace it
after cleaning.
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or
abrasive cleaners or brushes to clean
the outside of the kettle to prevent any gloss
loss.
EMPTYING YOUR KETTLE
1. After your kettle has completely cooled
down, unplug it from the mains supply so-
cket.
2. Press the Lid release button and hold your
kettle sideways over a sink. Then, tip your
kettle upside down.

3. Still holding your kettle over the sink, turn it
the right side up and allow any water to drain
out of the spout.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 until the water has been
emptied from your kettle.
5. If your kettle will not be used for an exten-
ded period (e.g. if you are on holiday), it’s
recommended that emptying it rstly. Before
using your kettle again, carry out several boil
cycles and discard the water each time.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL
DEPOSITS
To maintain its performance, your kettle will requi-
re descaling once every three months or so. The
kettle may be needed to descale more frequently
if living in a hard water area.
1. Fill your kettle to the MAX level and place an
empty cup on the drip tray. Press down the
Power switch and wait for the water to be
dispensed into the cup.
2. Add a citric acid-based proprietary descaling
product to the hot water in the cup and stir.
3. Tip the contents of the cup into the water
tank and close the lid.
4. Place the empty cup on the drip tray and
press down the Power switch.
5. Wait for the water to be dispensed into the
cup.
6. Discard the water from the cup.
7. Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until the water level
is at the MIN mark. Open the lid and emp-
ty any remaining water into the sink. Rinse
your kettle by lling it with clean water and
emptying it into the sink.
8. Fill your kettle with fresh water to the MAX
level and place an empty cup on the remo-
vable shelf.
9. Press down the Power switch and wait for
the water to be dispensed into the cup.
10. Discard the water in the cup.
11. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until the water level is
at the MIN mark. Open the lid and empty any
remaining water into the sink.

desit Company UK Limited with registered ofce
at Peterborough PE2 9JB in relation to products
purchased in the United Kingdom and Indesit
Ireland Limited with registered ofce in Dublin 9,
Ireland for products purchased in the Republic of
Ireland. This Guarantee does not affect your sta-
tutory rights.
Your product has the benet of our manufactu-
rer’s Guarantee, which covers the product for
twelve months from the date of purchase.
This gives you the reassurance that if, within that
time, your product is proven to be defective be-
cause of either workmanship or materials, we will,
at our discretion, either repair or replace the pro-
duct at no cost to you.
This Guarantee is subject to the following condi-
tions:
• Documentary proof of original purchase date
is provided.
• Cosmetic damage must be reported within
14 days from the date of purchase.
• The product has been installed and operated
correctly and in accordance with our opera-
ting and maintenance instructions.
• The product is used only on the electricity
supply printed on the rating plate.
• The product has been used for normal do-
mestic purposes only.
• The product has not been altered, serviced,
maintained, dismantled, or otherwise interfe-
red with by any person not authorised by us.
• Any repair work must be undertaken by us or
our appointed agent.
• Any parts removed during repair work or any
product that is replaced become our proper-
ty.
• The product is used in the United Kingdom
or Republic of Ireland.
The Guarantee does not cover:
• Damage resulting from transportation, im-
proper use, neglect or interference or as a
result of improper installation.

• Accidental damage, this includes but is not
limited to, damage which occurs as a result
of an external action.
• Replacement of any consumable item or ac-
cessory. These include but are not limited to:
• plugs, cables, light bulbs, hoses, brushes,
covers and lters.
• Replacement of any removable parts made
of glass or plastic.

not be disposed of in the normal unsor-
ted municipal waste stream.
Old appliances must be collected se-
parately in order to optimise the recovery and
recycling of the materials they contain and reduce
the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the
product reminds you of your obligation, that when
you dispose of the appliance it must be separately
collected. Consumers should contact their local
authority or retailer for information concerning the
