plate.
• Read all the instructions before using the
appliance.

• Do not operate the appliance without anything in

• Ensure that the kettle is used on a rm at
surface out of the reach of children. This will
preventthekettlefromoverturningandcausing
damage or injury.
• As a protection against re, electric shocks or

personal injury, do not immerse the cord, electric
plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.
• Whilethewaterisboilingorjustafterthewater
hasboiled,avoidanycontactwiththesteam.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly
and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.
• Becarefulwhenrellingahotkettle.
• Theattachedbasecannotbeusedforanyother
purpose than its intended use.
• Extremecautionmustbeusedwhenmovingan
appliance containing hot water.
• The use of accessory attachments that are not
recommended by the appliance manufacturer,
may result in re, electric shocks or personal
injury.
• Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in
useandbeforecleaning.Allowthekettletocool
downbeforeinstalling/removinganypartsand
beforecleaningit.
• This appliance has a built-in grounded plug.
Make sure the wall outlet in your house is
properly earthed.
• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose
than its intended use.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,orlack
ofexperienceandknowledge,unlesstheyhave
beenprovidedsupervisionorinstructionsonthe
useoftheappliancebyapersonresponsiblefor
their safety.
• Always make sure that the appliance is in good
workingorderandthatallitsremovablepartsare
secure. Regularly check the power supply cord
and plug for cuts or damage.
• Be sure your hands are completely dry before
touching the switch.
• Risk of scalding: the kettle gets hot during use.
Therefore use only the handle to pick it up and
open the lid only after the kettle has cooled down.
• Donotuseitnearthewaterinbathtubs,sinksor
other containers.
• Only ll the kettle with water. Milk and instant
beverageswillburnanddamagetheappliance.
• The kettle can only be used with the stand
provided.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Carefullywipetheoutsideoftheappliancetoremove
any dust that may have accumulated. Dry with a dry
cloth. Do not immerse the supply cord in water or other
liquids.Ifyouareusingthekettleforthersttime,itis
recommendedthatyoucleanitbeforeusebyboilinga
full kettle of water twice and discarding the water.
OPERATION OF YOUR KETTLE
Usethekettleonlywithitsincludedbase.
1. To ll the kettle, remove it from the power base
and open the lid by pressing the lid opening
button,llwiththedesiredamountofwater,and
thenclosethelid.Alternatively,thekettlemaybe
lled through the spout. The water level should
not exceed the max marks or sit below the min
level.Toolittlewaterwillcausethekettletoswitch
offbeforethewaterhasboiled.
The max capacity of the kettle is 1.7L. Do not
add water over the maximum level, as it may
spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the
lid is rmly in place before connecting the plug into
a power outlet.
2. Positionthekettleonthepowerbase.
3. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down
the switch: the indicator in the water gauge will
light up. Then start boiling the water. The kettle
will switch off automatically once the water has
boiled.
4. Liftthekettlefromthepowerbaseandthenpour
the water.
5. The kettle will not boil again until the switch is
pressedagain.The kettlemay bestoredon the
powerbasewhennotinuse.
Ensure that the switch is free of obstructions
and the lid is rmly closed. The kettle will not
turn off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is
open.
Be careful when pouring the water from your
kettle as boiling water may cause scalds. Do
not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without
water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch
off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool
downbeforellingwithcoldwater.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet
beforecleaning.

1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power
baseinwaterandneverallowmoisturetogetin
contact with these parts.
2. Wipetheoutsideofthebodywithadampclothor
cleaner.Neveruseapoisonouscleaner.
3. Remembertocleanthelteronaregularbasis.
Foreasiercleaning,detachthelterbypullingit
upwards. Then replace it after cleaning.
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or
abrasive cleaners or brushes to clean the
outside of the kettle to prevent any gloss loss.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL
DEPOSITS
Your kettle should be periodically descaled, as the
mineral deposits in tap water may form scale on
the bottom of the kettle and cause a less efcient
operation. You can use any commercially available
descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of the
descaler.Alternatively,youmayfollowtheinstructions
belowandusewhitevinegar.
1. Fill the appliance 3/4 full, boil, then unplug the
appliance (remove the cordless kettle from the
baseunit)andstanditinanemptysinkorbowl.
Graduallyadd50mlofwhitevinegartothewater.
Leavethesolutioninthekettleovernight.
2. Discardthemixtureinthekettle,llthekettlewith
cleanwater,boilandthendiscardthewater.Repeat
several times until the smell of vinegar has been
ushedaway.Anystainsremaininginsidethespout
canberemovedbyrubbingitwithadampcloth.
