Wichtige Installationshinweise
1. Die Flansch-Heizeinsätze der Typenreihe EFHR sind ausschließlich für
Erwärmung von Wasser in geschlossenen oder offenen Behälter konstruiert.
2. Im Betrieb müssen Heizkörper und Fühlerschutzrohr allseitig ausreichend von
Wasser umgeben sein. Die thermisch bedingte Wasserströmung darf nicht
behindert werden.
3. Der Flanschheizkörper muss so eingebaut sein, dass das Fühlerrohr oben ist.
4. Vor sämtlichen Arbeiten am Gerät ist der Heizkörper spannungsfrei zu schal-
ten.
5. Die Leitungen der Kapillarfühler dürfen nicht mit stromführenden Teilen in
Verbindung kommen.
6. Die Umgebungstemperatur am Gehäuse darf nicht 80°C überschreiten.

Spesso un tecnico specializzato può ripristinare le funzioni del riscaldatore ad
immersione con un intervento semplicissimo.
La richiesta di garanzia non è autorizzata in caso di:
Danni causati da funzionamento a secco
Danni causati da accumulo di calcare
Danni causati da agenti chimici o elettrochimici
Danni causati da errata tensione, fulminazione diretta, sovratensione
Danni causati dall’infiltrazione di corpi estranei o da influssi elettromeccanici
Danni di corrosione causati da acqua aggressiva non potabile
Danni causati dalla ritardata o mancata sostituzione degli anodi di protezione

Montage
Neben den geltenden Normen und Vorschriften sind die Anschlussbedingungen
der örtlichen Elektrizitäts- und Wasserwerke einzuhalten. Der elektrische An-
schluss darf nur von einem zugelassenen Elektrofachmann durchgeführt werden.
1. Vor der Montage ist zu überprüfen. dass sich die Heizstäbe nicht berühren.
Gegebenenfalls sind sie von Hand nachzurichten.
2. Flanschheizkörper mit Dichtung einbauen (Fühlerrohr oben!). Dabei die
Schrauben zuerst über Kreuz leicht anziehen, dann gefühlvoll (17 Nm) festzie-
hen.
3. Der werksseitig eingestellte Anschluss der Heizstäbe entspricht der
Maximalleistung. Für eine Leistungsreduktion siehe Anschluss-Schemen auf
der folgenden Seite.
4. Das Anschlusskabel muss durch die Kabelzugentlastung fixiert werden. Es ist
auf eine ausreichende Dimensionierung des Anschlusskabels zu achten.
5. Mitgelieferte Rosette ankleben (betrifft EFHR 4 bis EFHR 9-180)
6. WICHTIG: Nicht vergessen, den Schutzleiter anzuschließen!
Der Behälter muss mit Wasserein- und Auslaufrohren aus Metall versehen sein.
Andere berührbare Metallteile des Behälters, die mit Wasser in Berührung kom-
men, müssen dauerhaft und zuverlässig mit dem Schutzleiter verbunden sein. In
der elektrischen Zuleitung ist ein allpoliger Trennschalter mit
3 mm Kontaktöffnungsweite vorzusehen. Als Trennschaltervorrichtung sind auch
Sicherungsautomaten zulässig.

Allacciamento idrico
È assolutamente necessario attenersi alle istruzioni di montaggio, allacciamento e
funzionamento del serbatoio e/o del riscaldatore. Nel caso di allacciamento sotto
pressione, occorre installare una valvola di sicurezza a membrana omologata o
una combinazione di valvole di questo tipo. Nel caso di allacciamento senza pres-
sione, devono essere installate una valvola di non ritorno e di arresto e una val-
vola per l’allacciamento senza pressione. Evitare assolutamente che la cartuccia
riscaldante resti “asciutta”.
Messa in funzione
Prima dell’attivazione elettrica, il serbatoio deve essere riempito d’acqua.
Sorvegliare la prima fase di riscaldamento dell’apparecchio. Durante il riscalda-
mento l’acqua contenuta nel serbatoio interno, a causa dell’aumento di volume,
deve gocciolare dalla valvola di sicurezza nel caso di allacciamento sotto pres-
sione e dalla valvola di troppopieno nel caso di allacciamento senza pressione.
Controllare lo spegnimento automatico del regolatore di temperatura.
Avvertenza:
Il montaggio, l’allacciamento, la manutenzione e la riparazione devono essere
eseguiti esclusivamente da esperti autorizzati.
In caso di riparazione utilizzare esclusivamente pezzi di ricambio originali!
Avvertenze per l’utente
1. A seconda del contenuto calcareo dell’acqua e delle condizioni di utilizzo, può
essere necessario liberare periodicamente il riscaldatore ad immersione dalle
incrostazioni. A pulizia effettuata, inserire nuovamente il riscaldatore dotato di
nuova guarnizione nel serbatoio. Si consiglia di installare un impianto per l’ad-
dolcimento dell’acqua e/o di riduzione della temperatura, come descritto di
seguito. Tenere presente che i danni causati da un accumulo di calcare sul
riscaldatore non sono coperti da garanzia. Ciò vale anche per i conseguenti
danni secondari.
2. La temperatura dell’acqua contenuta nel recipiente può essere regolata senza
soluzione di continuità con l’apposita manopola. Il differenziale d’intervento è
di ca. 10°C, vale a dire che, regolando la temperatura su ca.60°C , essa scen-
de a ca. 50°C prima che il riscaldatore si riaccenda. Per evitare che il calcare
si accumuli troppo rapidamente sul riscaldatore, si consiglia di impostare la
manopola su una temperatura inferiore a 60°C.
3. Se durante l’utilizzo si verifica un guasto, informare il servizio assistenza clien-
ti. Non tentare di riparare autonomamente il guasto.

Die Anforderungen des zuständigen Elektrizitätswerks sind zu beachten!
Hinweis:
Nur bei Typen bis 9 kW ist Umklemmen erlaubt.
Bei EFHR 18 (2 x 9 kW) kann durch Anschluss von nur einer der beiden Gruppen
die Leistung halbiert werden.

Avvertenza:
È consentito invertire la connessione solo per i tipi fino a 9 kW.
Nel tipo EFHR 18 (2 x 9 kW) è possibile dimezzare la potenza allacciando solo uno
dei due gruppi.

Wasseranschluss
Die Montage-, Anschluss- und Bedienungsanleitungen des Wassererwärmers
sind unbedingt einzuhalten. Bei druckfestem Anschluss ist ein geprüftes
Membransicherheitsventil oder eine Membransicherheitsventil-Kombination, bei
drucklosem Anschluss Rücklauf- und Absperrventil sowie eine Gebrauchsarmatur
für drucklosen Anschluss vorzusehen. Die Möglichkeit einer Trockenheizung ist
unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Inbetriebnahme
Vor der elektrischen Einschaltung muss der Behälter mit Wasser gefüllt sein. Das
erstmalige Aufheizen des Gerätes ist zu überwachen. Während des
Aufheizvorganges muss das im Innenbehälter entstehende Dehnwasser bei druk-
kfestem Anschluss aus dem Sicherheitsventil und bei drucklosem Anschluss aus
der Überlaufmischbatterie tropfen. Das selbsttätige Abschalten des
Temperaturreglers ist zu kontrollieren.
Hinweis:
Montage, Anschluss, Inbetriebnahme und Wartung dürfen nur von einem auto-
risierten Fachmann durchgeführt werden.
Im Falle einer Reparatur dürfen ausschließlich Original-Ersatzteile zum Einsatz
kommen!
Benutzerhinweise
1. Je nach Kalkgehalt des Wassers und den Betriebsbedingungen kann es not-
wendig sein, in gewissen Zeitabständen die Heizkörper vom Kesselstein zu
befreien, sowie den sich frei ablagernden Kalk zu entfernen. Nach der
Reinigung ist der Heizeinsatz mit einer neuen Dichtung wieder einzubauen. Der
Einbau einer Enthartungsanlage bzw. Temperaturabsenkung wie nachstehend
beschrieben ist zu empfehlen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass ein durch Verkalkung
am Heizkörper entstandener Schaden keinen Gewährleistungsfall für Schäden
und Folgeschäden darstellt.
2. Die Behälterwassertemperatur kann entsprechend Ihrem Warmwasserbedarf
mit dem Reglerknopf stufenlos eingestellt werden. Die Schaltdifferenz beträgt
ca. 1O°K., d.h. bei einer Einstellung auf ca.60°C sinkt die Temperatur also auf
ca. 50°C ab, bevor der Heizkörper wieder einschaltet. Um einer übermäßig
schnellen Verkalkung des Heizkörpers vorzubeugen, empfehlen wir, den Regler
auf eine Temperatur von maximal 60°C einzustellen.
3. Sollte im Laufe der Benutzung eine Störung auftreten, verständigen Sie bitte
den Kundendienst. Bitte versuchen Sie nicht, Störungen selbst zu beheben.

Montaggio
Oltre alle norme e alle prescrizioni, è necessario rispettare le condizioni di allacci-
amento delle centrali elettriche e idriche locali. L’allacciamento elettrico può esse-
re eseguito solo da un elettricista qualificato.
1. Prima del montaggio, verificare che le resistenze elettriche non si tocchino. Se
necessario, correggerne manualmente la posizione.
2. Montare il riscaldatore ad immersione con la guarnizione dura (tubo di prote-
zione del sensore in alto!). Avvitare le viti a croce e quindi serrarle con pruden-
za (17 Nm).
3. L’allacciamento impostato di fabbrica dei riscaldatori corrisponde alla potenza
massima. Per ridurre la potenza, si vedano gli schemi di allacciamento alla
pagina seguente.
4. Fissare il cavo di allacciamento servendosi del pressacavo. Accertarsi che la
sezione trasversale del cavo sia sufficiente.
5. Incollare la rosetta compresa nella confezione (per i tipi da EFHR 4 a EFHR 9-
180).
6. IMPORTANTE: ricordarsi di collegare la messa a terra!
Il serbatoio deve essere provvisto di tubi in metallo di entrata e di uscita dell’ac-
qua e tutte le parti di metallo del recipiente che è possibile toccare e che sono a
contatto con l’acqua devono essere sempre collegate in modo sicuro con la
messa a terra. Il cavo di alimentazione elettrica deve essere munito di sezionato-
re onnipolare con un’apertura minima contatti di almeno 3 mm. Come dispositivo
sezionatore possono essere utilizzati anche dei dispositivi di protezione.

Importanti istruzioni di montaggio
1. I riscaldatori ad immersione su flangia della serie EFHR sono costruiti esclusi-
vamente per il riscaldamento supplementare di acqua in serbatoi chiusi o aper-
ti.
2. Durante il funzionamento, il riscaldatore e il tubo di protezione del sensore
devono essere sufficientemente immersi nell’acqua da tutti i lati. La corrente
d’acqua dovuta alla differenza di temperatura non deve essere ostacolata.
3. Il riscaldatore deve essere installato con il tubo di protezione del sensore in
alto.
4. Prima di effettuare qualsiasi lavoro all’apparecchio, assicurarsi che il riscalda-
tore sia spento e non in tensione.
5. Evitare assolutamente il contatto dei cavi dei sensori capillari con parti in ten-
sione.
6. La temperatura ambiente della custodia non deve superare gli 80°C.

Important information for installation
1. The EFHR series flange heating element is designed exclusively for heating of
water in closed or open containers.
2. During operation, the heating unit and thermowell must be sufficiently immer-
sed in water on all sides. The thermally induced water flow may not be impe-
ded.
3. The flange heating element must be installed so that the sensor pipe is up.
4. The heating element is to be disconnected from the power supply prior to any
work on the appliance.
5. The manifold tubes of the capillary sensors may not come in contact with the
current-carrying parts.
6. The ambient temperature at the casing may not exceed 80°C.

Installation
In addition to the effective norms and regulations, you must observe the connec-
tion requirements of the local power station and water supply company. The elec-
trical connection may only be established by a licensed electrician.
1. Prior to installation, ensure that the heating rods do not touch one another. If
necessary, adjust them by hand.
2. Install flange heating elements using seals (sensor pipes up!). First tighten the
screws lightly on both sides, and then tighten them carefully (17 Nm).
3. The connection for the heating rods, which was configured by the manufactu-
rer, corresponds to the maximum power rating. For a power reduction, see the
connection diagrams on the following page.
4. The connection cable must be fixed using the cable strain relief. The connec-
tion cable must be of a sufficient rating.
5. Affix the rosettes that come with the heating element (applies to EFHR 4
through EFHR 9-180)
6. IMPORTANT: Do not forget to connect the ground!
The container must be fitted with water inlet and outflow tubes made from metal.
Other touchable metal parts of the container which come into contact with water
must be permanently and reliably connected to ground. An all-pole isolating
switch with 3mm contact gaps must be fitted in the power supply feed. Automatic
circuit breakers are also acceptable as isolating switch mechanisms.

Branchement d’eau
Respecter à tout prix les indications de montage, de raccordement et d'utilisation
du chauffe-eau. Pour les branchements sous pression, prévoir une valve de sécu-
rité à membrane ou une combinaison similaire. Pour les branchements hors pres-
sion, prévoir une vanne de retour et d’arrêt, ainsi qu’une robinetterie pour bran-
chements hors pression. Eviter absolument toute possibilité de chauffage à sec.
Mise en service
Avant de brancher le thermoplongeur, remplir le réservoir d'eau. Surveiller la pre-
mière mise à température de l’appareil. Pendant cette opération, le surplus d’eau,
à l’intérieur de la cuve, doit s’écouler par la valve de sécurité dans le cas des bran-
chements sous pression, et par le déversoir du mitigeur, dans le cas des bran-
chements hors pression. Contrôler l'arrêt automatique du thermostat.
Indication:
Le montage, la connexion, la mise en service et la maintenance ne doivent être
réalisés que par un professionnel certifié.
En cas de réparation, n'utiliser que des pièces de rechange originales !
Conseils d’utilisation

détartrage régulier des thermoplongeurs peut s’avérer nécessaire. Après le
nettoyage, il est nécessaire de remonter les éléments de chauffage à l’aide
d’un nouveau joint. L’installation d’un dispositif d’adoucissement ou de réduc-
tion de température est recommandée, voir la description ci-dessous. Veuillez
tenir compte du fait que tout dommage du à l’entartrage du thermoplongeur
n’est pas couvert par la garantie constructeur.
2. La température de l’eau dans le réservoir est réglable en continu à l’aide du
bouton correspondant. Le recouvrement est d’environ 10°K. Lorsque la tem-
pérature est réglée sur 60°C, celle-ci baisse donc jusqu’à 60°C avant que le
thermoplongeur ne redémarre. Pour éviter tout entartrage précoce, nous
recommandons de positionner le régleur sur une température inférieure à
60°C.
3. En cas de panne, veuillez informer le service après-vente. Veuillez ne pas ten-
ter de réparer les pannes par vous-même. Pour les professionnels, il suffit sou-
vent de peu de chose pour remettre en état votre thermoplongeur. Pour la
maintenance faites également appel à un spécialiste.

Water Connection
The installation, connection and user instructions for the water heater are to be
followed at all costs. In the case of a pressurized connection, a certified membra-
ne safety valve or a membrane safety valve combination is required. In the case
of an unpressurized connection, a return valve, a stop valve as well as service fit-
tings for unpressurized connections are required. The possibility of dry heating is
to be avoided at all costs.
Initial Start-up
The container must be filled with water before the electricity is turned on. The initi-
al heating up of the appliance must be monitored. During the heating process, the
expanded water produced in the interior boiler must drip from the safety valve in
the case of a pressurized connection and from the overflow mixing faucet in the
case of an unpressurized connection. The automatic cut-out function of the ther-
mostat must be checked.
Note:
Only an authorised professional is permitted to carry out installation, connec-
tion, start-up, maintenance and repairs.
When repair becomes necessary, use only original replacement parts!
Considerations for use
1. Depending on the lime content of the water and the operating conditions, it
may be necessary to free the heating elements from the sediment and to remo-
ve said sediment at regular intervals. After cleaning, the heating element must
be re-installed with a new seal. It is recommended to install softening equip-
ment or a temperature reduction, as described in the following. Please note
that damage to the heating element caused by calcification does not represent
a warranty situation for damages or consequential damages.
2. The container water temperature can be continuously adjusted using the regu-
lator button to match your warm water requirements. The differential gap is
around 10°C; this means at a setting of 60°C, that the temperature will sink to
around 50°C before the heating element will turn on again. To prevent overly
rapid calcification of the heating element, we recommend setting the tempera-
ture to a maximum of 60°C.
3. Should a failure occur during use, please notify customer service. Please do
not attempt to repair breakdowns yourself. For professionals, it usually takes
them just a few easy steps, and your heating element will be working again.

water in closed or open containers.
2. During operation, the heating unit and thermowell must be sufficiently immer-
sed in water on all sides. The thermally induced water flow may not be impe-
ded.

Importanti istruzioni di montaggio
1. I riscaldatori ad immersione su flangia della serie EFHR sono costruiti esclusi-
vamente per il riscaldamento supplementare di acqua in serbatoi chiusi o aper-
ti.
2. Durante il funzionamento, il riscaldatore e il tubo di protezione del sensore
devono essere sufficientemente immersi nell’acqua da tutti i lati. La corrente
d’acqua dovuta alla differenza di temperatura non deve essere ostacolata.
3. Il riscaldatore deve essere installato con il tubo di protezione del sensore in
alto.
4. Prima di effettuare qualsiasi lavoro all’apparecchio, assicurarsi che il riscalda-

Wichtige Installationshinweise
1. Die Flansch-Heizeinsätze der Typenreihe EFHR sind ausschließlich für
Erwärmung von Wasser in geschlossenen oder offenen Behälter konstruiert.
2. Im Betrieb müssen Heizkörper und Fühlerschutzrohr allseitig ausreichend von
Wasser umgeben sein. Die thermisch bedingte Wasserströmung darf nicht
behindert werden.
3. Der Flanschheizkörper muss so eingebaut sein, dass das Fühlerrohr oben ist.
4. Vor sämtlichen Arbeiten am Gerät ist der Heizkörper spannungsfrei zu schal-
ten.
5. Die Leitungen der Kapillarfühler dürfen nicht mit stromführenden Teilen in
Verbindung kommen.
6. Die Umgebungstemperatur am Gehäuse darf nicht 80°C überschreiten.

Wasseranschluss
Die Montage-, Anschluss- und Bedienungsanleitungen des Wassererwärmers
sind unbedingt einzuhalten. Bei druckfestem Anschluss ist ein geprüftes
Membransicherheitsventil oder eine Membransicherheitsventil-Kombination, bei
drucklosem Anschluss Rücklauf- und Absperrventil sowie eine Gebrauchsarmatur
für drucklosen Anschluss vorzusehen. Die Möglichkeit einer Trockenheizung ist
unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Inbetriebnahme
Vor der elektrischen Einschaltung muss der Behälter mit Wasser gefüllt sein. Das
erstmalige Aufheizen des Gerätes ist zu überwachen. Während des
Aufheizvorganges muss das im Innenbehälter entstehende Dehnwasser bei druk-
kfestem Anschluss aus dem Sicherheitsventil und bei drucklosem Anschluss aus
der Überlaufmischbatterie tropfen. Das selbsttätige Abschalten des
Temperaturreglers ist zu kontrollieren.
Hinweis:
Montage, Anschluss, Inbetriebnahme und Wartung dürfen nur von einem auto-
risierten Fachmann durchgeführt werden.
Im Falle einer Reparatur dürfen ausschließlich Original-Ersatzteile zum Einsatz
kommen!
Benutzerhinweise
1. Je nach Kalkgehalt des Wassers und den Betriebsbedingungen kann es not-
wendig sein, in gewissen Zeitabständen die Heizkörper vom Kesselstein zu
befreien, sowie den sich frei ablagernden Kalk zu entfernen. Nach der
Reinigung ist der Heizeinsatz mit einer neuen Dichtung wieder einzubauen. Der
Einbau einer Enthartungsanlage bzw. Temperaturabsenkung wie nachstehend
beschrieben ist zu empfehlen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass ein durch Verkalkung
am Heizkörper entstandener Schaden keinen Gewährleistungsfall für Schäden
und Folgeschäden darstellt.
2. Die Behälterwassertemperatur kann entsprechend Ihrem Warmwasserbedarf
mit dem Reglerknopf stufenlos eingestellt werden. Die Schaltdifferenz beträgt
ca. 1O°K., d.h. bei einer Einstellung auf ca.60°C sinkt die Temperatur also auf
ca. 50°C ab, bevor der Heizkörper wieder einschaltet. Um einer übermäßig
schnellen Verkalkung des Heizkörpers vorzubeugen, empfehlen wir, den Regler
auf eine Temperatur von maximal 60°C einzustellen.
3. Sollte im Laufe der Benutzung eine Störung auftreten, verständigen Sie bitte
den Kundendienst. Bitte versuchen Sie nicht, Störungen selbst zu beheben.

Montaggio
Oltre alle norme e alle prescrizioni, è necessario rispettare le condizioni di allacci-
amento delle centrali elettriche e idriche locali. L’allacciamento elettrico può esse-
re eseguito solo da un elettricista qualificato.
1. Prima del montaggio, verificare che le resistenze elettriche non si tocchino. Se
necessario, correggerne manualmente la posizione.
2. Montare il riscaldatore ad immersione con la guarnizione dura (tubo di prote-
zione del sensore in alto!). Avvitare le viti a croce e quindi serrarle con pruden-
za (17 Nm).
3. L’allacciamento impostato di fabbrica dei riscaldatori corrisponde alla potenza
massima. Per ridurre la potenza, si vedano gli schemi di allacciamento alla
pagina seguente.
4. Fissare il cavo di allacciamento servendosi del pressacavo. Accertarsi che la
sezione trasversale del cavo sia sufficiente.
5. Incollare la rosetta compresa nella confezione (per i tipi da EFHR 4 a EFHR 9-
180).
6. IMPORTANTE: ricordarsi di collegare la messa a terra!
Il serbatoio deve essere provvisto di tubi in metallo di entrata e di uscita dell’ac-
qua e tutte le parti di metallo del recipiente che è possibile toccare e che sono a
contatto con l’acqua devono essere sempre collegate in modo sicuro con la
messa a terra. Il cavo di alimentazione elettrica deve essere munito di sezionato-
re onnipolare con un’apertura minima contatti di almeno 3 mm. Come dispositivo
sezionatore possono essere utilizzati anche dei dispositivi di protezione.

Hinweis:
Nur bei Typen bis 9 kW ist Umklemmen erlaubt.
Bei EFHR 18 (2 x 9 kW) kann durch Anschluss von nur einer der beiden Gruppen
die Leistung halbiert werden.

È consentito invertire la connessione solo per i tipi fino a 9 kW.
Nel tipo EFHR 18 (2 x 9 kW) è possibile dimezzare la potenza allacciando solo uno
dei due gruppi.

Wichtige Installationshinweise
1. Die Flansch-Heizeinsätze der Typenreihe EFHR sind ausschließlich für
Erwärmung von Wasser in geschlossenen oder offenen Behälter konstruiert.
2. Im Betrieb müssen Heizkörper und Fühlerschutzrohr allseitig ausreichend von
Wasser umgeben sein. Die thermisch bedingte Wasserströmung darf nicht
behindert werden.
3. Der Flanschheizkörper muss so eingebaut sein, dass das Fühlerrohr oben ist.
4. Vor sämtlichen Arbeiten am Gerät ist der Heizkörper spannungsfrei zu schal-
ten.
5. Die Leitungen der Kapillarfühler dürfen nicht mit stromführenden Teilen in
Verbindung kommen.
6. Die Umgebungstemperatur am Gehäuse darf nicht 80°C überschreiten.
