following important information before you use the tool.
Attention
Please be very careful when working with the tool to prevent accidents such as
burning yourself or your surroundings.
Never touch the tip when the switch is pressed down.
When working with soldering tin, the generating fume shall not be inhaled.
Do not lay against any surface after using until the tip is cooled down.
Always unplug tool when not being used.

Unscrew the binding screws to hold the soldering tip.
Insert soldering tip.
Tighten binding screws carefully.
The label on the tool shows the proper voltage.
When the switch is pressed the light bulbs in the tool lighten the soldering
spot.
The proper working temperature will be reached after approx. 6
sets.
of
preheating time. This can be checked best by touching the solder with the
hot tip.
If the required temperature is reached hold tip to soldering spot and bring
some solder between tip and joint to provide better heat transfer.
After heating add further solder to the soldering point.
When the solder is well distributed, remove the tip and turn-off the tool. If
you followed these steps you should have a perfect, shiny solder joint.
The soldering tip is protected against wear and oxidation and therefore
must never be touched-up with a file or similar tool.
If necessary the soldering tip shall be cleaned with a viscose sponge or
cloth while still warm.
To avoid excessive accumulation of tin at the soldering spot we recom-
mend to use solder not thicker than 2 mm 0.
We recommend to use “soft solder L-Sn 60 Pb with flux core F-SW 26 in
accordance with DIN 8511” which is available in all professional stores.
The connecting cable is to be exchanged only by the manufacturer or his
servicing agent, for safety reasons.

Explanation referring to the label on the tool
Do not hold the tool in “ON” position continuously, to prevent abnormal high
tip temperature. Allow the tip to cool down during operation.
The indication “intermittent operation

min. means the following.
The tool
is not dimensioned for continuous operation. After

minute of heating res-
pectively working with the tool it shall cool down for

minutes.
This
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is widerthan the
other).
To redu-
ce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any
way.
