1. Yourheadsetwillautomaticallygointopairingmodewhenyouturnitonthefirsttime.
2. SetyourBluetoothphoneto‘discover’theHTCBHM300.

Followyourphone’sinstructionguide.Thisusuallyinvolvesgoingtoa‘setup,’‘connect’or
‘Bluetooth’menuonyourphoneandselectingtheoptionto‘discover’or‘add’aBluetoothdevice.

3. YourphonewillfindtheHTCBHM300.

Yourphonethenasksifyouwanttopairwithit.Acceptbypressing‘Yes’or‘OK’onthephoneand
confirmwiththepasskeyorPIN=0000(4zeros).Yourphonewillconfirmwhenpairingiscomplete.

Incaseofunsuccessfulpairing,repeatsteps1to3.


YoucanmanuallyputyourHTCBHM300intopairingmode,ifyouwanttopairwithasecondphone
orBluetoothdevice:
1. Makesuretheheadsetisoff.
2. Pressandholdtheanswer/endbuttonforapprox5sec.untilthelightturnssolidBlue.
3. SetyourBluetoothphonetodiscoveryourheadsetasdescribedabove

Wearithowyoulikeit
TheHTCBHM300isreadytobeworn.Theeargelscanbeusedforbothleftandrightwearing.The
BHM300comeswithamediumsizedeargel,butitcanbereplacedbyasmallorlargeone.Youcan
alsotwisttheeargelslightlytooptimizethefitandcomfort.
Foroptimalperformance,weartheHTCBHM300andyourmobilephoneonthesamesideofyour
bodyorwithinlineofsight.Ingeneral,youwillgetbetterperformancewhenthereareno
obstructionsbetweenyourheadsetandyourmobilephone.

HTCBHM300iscapableofstreamingmusicoverBluetooth‐eitherfromamobilephoneorany
otherBluetoothdevicesupportingA2DP.OnceyouhavepairedyourBHM300withyourmobile
phoneortotheBluetoothmusicplayer,useyourphoneormusicplayertoplay,pause,stop,skip
forwardandbackward.
Whenyoureceiveacall,themusicwillbeautomaticallysuspendedandyouwillbeabletoansweror
rejectacallthroughtheheadset.Onceyouendacall,themusicshouldrecommence.Onsome
phonesandmusicdevicesyoumayhavetopress‘play’tostartthemusicagain.
UsingHTCBHM300with2phones
HTCBHM300iscapableofhavingtwomobilephones(orBluetoothdevices)connectedtothe
headsetatthesametime.Thiswillgiveyouthefreedomofhavingonlyoneheadsettooperateboth
yourmobilephones.PleasenotethatLastNumberRedialwilldialthenumberfromthelastoutgoing
call,independentofthemobilephones,andtheVoiceDiallingfunctiononlywillworkonthelast
pairedmobilephone.


Ihearcracklingnoises
zBluetoothisaradiotechnology,whichmeansitissensitivetoobjectsbetweentheheadsetandthe
connecteddevice.Itisdesignedfortheheadsetandtheconnecteddevicetobeusedwithin33feet(10
meters)ofeachother,withnomajorobjectsintheway(walls,etc.).
Icannothearanythinginmyheadset
zIncreasethevolumeintheheadset.
zEnsurethattheheadsetispairedtoadevicethatisplaying.
zMakesureyourphoneisconnectedtotheheadsetbytappingtheAnswer/Endbutton.
Iamhavingpairingproblems

Iwanttoresettheheadset
Itispossibletoresetandtesttheheadsetby’Pressandhold’allthreebuttonsatthesametime.The
red,blueandgreenlightwilllightupinawhitelight.Inthismode,thepairinglistisreset,andyou
cantestiftheheadsetworksasyouwillbeabletohearaudiointhespeakerfromthemicrophone.
Theheadsetwillautomaticallyturnoffafterapprox.10seconds.Thenexttimeyoupoweron,the
headsetwillgointopairingmodeasthefirsttimeyoupoweredyournewBHM300on.

TheHTCBHM300isdesignedtoworkwithBluetoothmobilephones.ItcanalsoworkwithotherBluetooth
devicesthatarecompliantwithBluetoothversion1.1orhigherandsupporthands‐freeand/oradvanceaudio
distributionprofile.
IcannotuseRejectcall,callonhold,Redialorvoicedialling
Thesefeaturesaredependentontheabilityofyourphonetosupportahands‐freeprofile.Evenif
thehandsfreeprofileisimplementedrejectcall,callholdandvoicedialingareoptionalfeatures
whicharenotsupportedbyalldevices.Pleaseconsultyourdevicemanualfordetails.
Pleasenotethatsomefeaturescanonlybeoperatedfromtheprimarydevicee.g.voicedialusing

Thedeviceisnotconnectedtomyheadsetintimetoansweranincomingcall
Iftheheadsetisoffandisturnedonwhenacallisincoming,thedeviceandheadsetmightnot
connectintimeforthecalltobeanswered.Inordertoavoidsuchinconveniencespleasekeepthe
headseton,inrangeandconnected.
Themusicplayerstartsplayingwhenconnectingtotheheadset
Somephonesmaystatthemusicplayeronceitconnectstotheheadset.Re‐pairyourheadsettothe
deviceinordertoavoidthisbehaviour.

Themusicstreamfrommyconnecteddeviceischoppyorthemusicpitchischanging
Ifyouhaveconnectedtwodevicesandgooutofrangeofonedevicewhileplayingmusicfromthe
connecteddevice,theheadsetwilltrytoreconnecttothelostdevice.Thiscancausetheaudio
streamtobedisrupted.Forexamplethemusicaudioischoppyortheaudiopitchvaries.Inorderto
preventthisdonotgooutofrangeofyourpaired/connecteddevices.

Takingcareofyourheadset
zAlwaysstoretheHTCBHM300withthepoweroffandsafelyprotected.
zAvoidstorageatextremetemperatures(above45°C/113°F–includingdirectsunlight–orbelow‐
10°C/14°F).Thiscanshortenbatterylifeandmayaffectoperation.
zHightemperaturesmayalsodegradeperformance.DonotexposetheHTCBHM300torainorother
liquids.


Headsetsarecapableofdeliveringsoundsatloudvolumesandhighpitchedtones.Exposuretosuch
soundscanresultinpermanenthearinglossdamage.Thevolumelevelmayvarybasedonconditions
suchasthephoneyouareusing,itsreceptionandvolumesettings,andtheenvironment.Pleaseread

Withcontinueduseathighvolume,yourearsmaybecomeaccustomedtothesoundlevel,which
mayresultinpermanentdamagetoyourhearingwithoutanynoticeablediscomfort.
Usingtheheadsetwhileoperatingamotorvehicle,motorcycle,watercraftorbicyclemaybe
dangerous,andisillegalinsomejurisdictions.Checkyourlocallaws.Usecautionwhileusingyour
headsetwhenyouareengaginginanyactivitythatrequiresyourfullattention.Whileengagingin
anysuchactivity,removingtheheadsetfromyourearareaorturningoffyourheadsetwillkeepyou
frombeingdistracted,soastoavoidaccidentorinjury.
3. Keepoutofreachofchildren
Theplasticbagstheproductanditspartsarewrappedinarenottoysforchildren.Thebags
themselvesorthemanysmallpartstheycontainmaycausechokingifingested.

4. Nevertrytodismantletheproductyourself
Noneoftheinternalcomponentscanbereplacedorrepairedbyusers.Onlyauthoriseddealersor
servicecentresmayopentheproduct.Ifanypartsofyourproductrequirereplacementforany
reason,includingnormalwearandtearorbreakage,contactyourdealer.
5. ACATS028–Ignitionofflammableatmospheres
DonotusetheHeadsetinenvironmentswherethereisadangerofignitionofflammablegases.

Warranty
LIMITEDWARRANTYSTATEMENT
ThislimitedwarrantyshallapplytoaccessoriessoldunderHTCbrand(the“Product”).HTCwarrants
thattheProductisatthetimeofitsoriginalpurchasefreeofdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship
(“LimitedWarranty”).THISLIMITEDWARRANTYDOESNOTAFFECTYOURSTATUTORYRIGHTS.
ThisLimitedWarrantyissubjecttothefollowingtermsandconditions:
1. ThisLimitedWarrantyisgivenonlytotheoriginalpurchaseroftheproduct(“Customer”).This
LimitedWarrantymay,however,betransferredtoanyindividualtowhomtheProductissold,
whereHTChasconsentedinwritingtothetransfer(andHTCwillnotunreasonablyrefuse
consent).Itshallneitherexcludenorlimita)anystatutoryrightsoftheCustomer;orb)anyof
theCustomer’srightsagainsttheseller/dealeroftheProduct.
2. ThisLimitedWarrantyshalllastfortwelve(12)monthsfromtheinitialpurchasedate
(“WarrantyPeriod”).CustomershallpresentthePROOFofPURCHASEuponclaimingthis
LimitedWarranty.ThisLimitedisonlyvalidandenforceableinthecountrieswherethe
Productissold.However,ifyouhavepurchasedtheProductinamemberstateofEuropean
Unions,Iceland,Norway,SwitzerlandorTurkeyandHTCoriginallyintendedtheProductfor
saleinoneofthesecountries,thisLimitedWarrantyisvalidandenforceableinallofthese
abovelistedcountries.Moreover,ifProductispurchasedinplacesotherthanthosestated
above,HTCattemptstorepairsuchProductbutcannotguaranteetheoutcome.Warranty
serviceavailability,responsetimesandhandlingchargesmayvaryfromcountrytocountry
andmayalsobesubjecttoaregistrationrequirementinthecountryofpurchase.
3. ThroughouttheWarrantyPeriodHTCoritsauthorizedagentwill,attheirdiscretion,without
chargeandsubjecttoClause7repairorreplaceadefectiveProduct.Repairorreplacement
mayinvolvetheuseoffunctionallyequivalentreconditionedunit.HTCwillreturnthe
repairedProductorreplacedwithanotherfunctionalequivalentProducttotheCustomerin
goodworkingcondition.Allreplacedfaultypartsorcomponentswillbecomethepropertyof
HTC.
4. ThisLimitedWarrantyappliesonlytothehardwarecomponentsoftheProductasoriginally
suppliedanddoesnotapplytoanysoftwarethereof.
5. IfHTCrepairsorreplacestheProduct,therepairedorreplacedProductshallcontinuetobe
warrantedfortheremainingtimeoftheoriginalWarrantyPeriodorforthree(3)months
fromthedateofrepairorreplacement,whicheverislonger.
6. Beforereturninganyunitforservice,besuretobackupdataandremoveanyconfidential,
proprietary,orpersonalinformationfromtheProduct.HTCisnotresponsibleforthedamage
toorlossofanyprograms,data,orremovablestoragemediawhereyoudonotback‐upyour
data.ThisClauseonlyappliestoproductswithstoragefunction.

7. THISLIMITEDWARRANTYSHALLNOTAPPLYIFTHEDEFECTWASCAUSEDTHROUGHANYOF
THEFOLLOWING:
a)theProductisreturnedforwarrantyclaimwithoutpresentingthePROOFOF
PURCHASE;or
b)deteriorationoftheProductduetonormalwearandtear;or
c)useotherthaninaccordancewiththeusermanual,roughhandling,tampering,
exposuretomoisture,dampnessorextremethermalorenvironmentalconditionsora
rapidchangeinsuchconditions,corrosion,oxidation,unauthorizedmodificationsor
connections,unauthorizedopeningorrepair,repairbyuseofunauthorizedspare
parts,accidents,forcesofnature,orotheractionsbeyondthereasonablecontrolof
HTC(includingbutnotlimitedtodeficienciesinconsumableparts)unlessthedefect
wascauseddirectlybydefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship.ThisLimitedWarranty
doesnotcoverphysicaldamagetothesurfaceoftheProductincludingbutnotlimited
tocracksorscratchesonthehousing/casingoftheProduct;or
d)thedefectwascausedbythefactthattheProductwasusedwithorconnectedtoa
devicenotapprovedorprovidedbyHTCorusedinotherthanitsintendeduseand
whereitcanbeshownbyHTCthatsuchdefectisnotthefaultoftheProductitself.
8. IftheProducthasbeenre‐exportedfromitsoriginaldestinationcountrytoanothercountry,
theProductmaycontaincountryspecificelementsthatarenotconsideredtobeadefect
underthisLimitedWarranty.

ANYCLAIMUNDERTHISLIMITEDWARRANTYISSUBJECTTOYOUNOTIFYINGHTCORANHTC
AUTHORIZEDSERVICEAGENTOFTHEALLEGEDDEFECTWITHINAREASONABLETIMEOFITHAVING
COMETOYOURATTENTIONANDINANYEVENTNOLATERTHANBEFORETHEEXPIRYOFTHE
WARRANTYPERIOD.
9. IntheeventofProductfailure,theCustomershalltakethefollowingactions:
a)Refertotheusermanualinordertoidentifyandpossiblycorrecttheproblem.
b)IftheproblemcannotberesolvedbyreferencetotheusermanualtheCustomer
shouldthencontactthedealerwheresuchProductwaspurchasedorvisityourlocal
HTCwebsite,orHTCservicecentreorwww.htc.comforfurtherinformation.
c)BeforetheCustomercontactsHTCserviceagent,pleaseensurethefollowing
Informationisathand:
•ThemodelnumberoftheProduct.
•TheCustomer’sfulladdressandcontactinformation.
•AcopyoftheCustomer’soriginalinvoice,receipt/billofthesale,ortheproofofthe
purchaseoftheProduct.

HTCwillprovidetheCustomerwithinstructionsregardinghowandwhenthedefectiveProduct
shouldbereturned.HTCwillpayreasonablecostsinconnectionwithboththereturnofthe
defectiveProducttoHTCandtherepairedProductbacktotheCustomerifthedefectiveProduct
iswithintheWarrantyPeriod.
10. THISLIMITEDWARRANTYSTATESTHEENTIREWARRANTYGIVENBYHTCTOTHECUSTOMER.
INNOEVENTSHALLHTCBELIABLEUNDERTHISLIMITEDWARRANTYFORLOSSOFPROFIT,
LOSSOFANTICIPATEDSAVINGS,LOSSOFDATA,DIRECTLYORINDIRECTLY,LOSSOFUSEOF
THEPRODUCTORANYASSOCIATEDEQUIPMENT,INCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALLOSSES

HTCdoesnotexcludeorlimitliabilityforpersonalinjuryordeathresultingfromitsownnegligence,
fordefectsintheProductarisingourofitsoritsmanufacturers’negligence,underapplicable
mandatorylaws.
THELAWSOFSOMECOUNTRIESSAYTHATHTCCANNOTEXCLUDEORLIMITCERTAINOFITS
LIABILITYTOYOU.WHERETHATISTHECASE,THEEXCLUSIONSANDLIMITATIONSOFLIABILITYIN
THISLIMITEDWARRANTYWILLNOTAPPLY.
ThiswarrantygivestheCustomerspecificlegalrights;theCustomermayalsohaveotherrights,
