Toner cartridge
2
Drum cartridge
The toner cartridge and drum cartridge are Huawei printer accessories that are packaged and sold
separately. Replace the toner cartridge and drum cartridge based on actual situations.
It is recommended that you go to an official Huawei channel to purchase toner cartridges and
drum cartridges for your printer. If you use a non-original toner cartridge or drum cartridge,
printing quality and performance may be sub-optimal, and the warranty services offered by
the original manufacturer may be voided.
Replace the toner cartridge
When the printer is running out of toner, the indicator on the operation panel will turn red and
the numeric display will show the code 7F, reminding you to replace the toner cartridge.
1Hold both sides of the front cover and open it. Hold the handle of the toner cartridge, and push it
in the direction indicated by . Once the toner cartridge is unlocked, take out the old toner
cartridge. (If your clothes or hands are accidentally stained with toner, wipe them with a dry
cloth, and then wash them with cold water. Hot water will cause the toner to seep into the fiber.)
1
2Take the new toner cartridge out of the packaging and shake it horizontally for 2 to 3 seconds to
prevent toner from accumulating.
3Place the new toner cartridge in the printer, hold the handle of the toner cartridge, and push it in
the direction indicated by . Once the toner cartridge is locked, close the front cover.
2
4Reset the toner cartridge: Press and at the same time for 5 seconds until you see the
code 66 shown on the numeric display. The printer will start to transfer the toner and make a
buzzing noise. After about 100 seconds, this buzzing will end, indicating that the toner cartridge
has been successfully reset.

Replace the drum cartridge
When the numeric display on the printer operation panel shows the code CC, and the blinks
red, it indicates that you need to replace the drum cartridge. Go to an official Huawei channel to
purchase the original drum cartridge and toner cartridge that are compatible with Huawei printers
and replace them in a timely manner.
•When replacing the drum cartridge, you also need to replace the toner cartridge. Please
purchase a drum cartridge and a toner cartridge at the same time.
•Since there are heated components inside the printer, it is recommended that you power off
the printer and then keep it idle for at least half an hour before replacing the drum cartridge.
1Press the button on the top cover to open the top cover.
3
2Hold the inner handle of the old drum cartridge, pull it at an upward tilt, and carefully remove the
old drum cartridge and toner cartridge.
3Take out the new toner cartridge and drum cartridge from the packaging, insert the new toner
cartridge on the new drum cartridge, and lock the toner cartridge. (If your clothes or hands are
accidentally stained with toner, wipe them with a dry cloth, and then wash them with cold water.
Hot water will cause the toner to seep into the fiber.)
4
4Shake the newly installed drum cartridge and toner cartridge assembly horizontally for 2 to 3
seconds to prevent toner from accumulating.
5Tilt and install the new drum cartridge and toner cartridge assembly toward the bottom (align the
metal and plastic heads on the left and right sides of the drum cartridge with the two vertical
slots on the inner wall of the printer, and install them in a downwards motion), and press down
on the top cover to close it.
5
6Reset the drum cartridge: Press and at the same time for 5 seconds until you see the
code 99 shown on the numeric display. After the printer is initialized, the drum cartridge is reset
successfully.

7Reset the toner cartridge: Press and at the same time for 5 seconds until you see the
code 66 shown on the numeric display. The printer will start to transfer the toner and make a
buzzing noise. After about 100 seconds, this buzzing will end, indicating that the toner cartridge
has been successfully reset.

information about how to use the device safely. Read this information carefully before using your
device.
Operating environment
•Use the device at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C and at a humidity between 20% and
80% (non-condensing). Store the device and its accessories at a temperature between -20°C
and +40°C and at a humidity between 30% and 93%. Extreme heat or cold may damage this
device.
•To protect your device or accessories from fire or electrical shock hazards, avoid rain and
moisture.
•Keep the device away from sources of heat and fire, such as a heater, microwave oven, stove,
water heater, radiator, or candle.
•If your hands or clothes are stained with toner, wipe it off immediately or clean them with cold
water.
•If the toner falls on the ground, use a wet cloth to carefully remove the toner so that it does not
scatter.
•If you inhale unused or waste toner, gargle your mouth with plenty of water, go somewhere with
fresh air, and see a doctor if necessary.
•If toner enters your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and see a doctor if necessary.
Child safety
•Comply with all precautions with regard to child safety. Letting children play with the device or its
accessories may be dangerous. The device includes detachable parts that may present a
choking hazard. Keep away from children.
•Do not allow children or pets to bite or suck the device or accessories. Doing so may result in
damage or explosion.
•Keep children away from toner cartridges and drum cartridges.
Cleaning and maintenance

Drum cartridge and toner cartridge maintenance
Store the drum cartridge and toner cartridge
•For optimal performance, it is recommended that you take out the drum cartridge or toner
cartridge from the packaging only when you are ready to install it.
•The toner cartridge is a disposable consumable and cannot be filled again.
•To prevent the drum cartridge from being damaged, avoid exposing it to light for more than a
few minutes.
Service life of the drum cartridge and toner cartridge
•The service life of the drum cartridge and toner cartridge will depend on how intensive your
printing needs are.
•If you use non-recommended paper for printing, the service life of the drum cartridge, toner
cartridge, and device parts may be shortened.
•The frequency for which you'll need to replace the drum cartridge and toner cartridge will vary
depending on factors like the number of pages printed, printed content, and type of paper used.
Recycle the drum cartridge and toner cartridge
•Dispose of old drum cartridges and toner cartridges in accordance with local regulations, and
separate them from domestic waste.
•Avoid putting the toner, drum cartridge, or toner cartridge into a fire. Toner may burn when
exposed to open flames.
•If you have any questions, please call your local waste management authority. Ensure that the
drum cartridge and toner cartridge are sealed to prevent the inside toner from breaking apart.
•It is recommended that you place the old drum cartridge and toner cartridge on paper to prevent
the toner from breaking apart, and staining the desktop or clothes.
Toner saving
•If printed content is suddenly unclear or blurry, replace the drum cartridge and toner cartridge in
accordance with the error code displayed on the printer, or the message displayed in the
Huawei Print client.
•The actual number of printed pages supported will vary depending on the number and type of
images, number of pages printed at a time, the type and size of paper, and environmental
conditions such as temperature and humidity. Toner quality will decline gradually over time.
•For optimal printing quality, it is recommended that you use an original Huawei drum cartridge
and toner cartridge.
Disposal and recycling information
The symbol on the product, battery, literature, or packaging means that the products and batteries
should be taken to separate waste collection points designated by local authorities at the end of
the lifespan. This will ensure that EEE waste is recycled and treated in a manner that conserves
valuable materials and protects human health and the environment.
