1 Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
The HUAWEI RP100-55T Room Presence (RP100-55T) is an interactive collaboration
videoconferencing device. With a 55-inch Interactive Digital Board (IDB) touchscreen, the
RP100-55T provides touch-based writing and controls, large-screen projection, and
interactive collaboration, delivering a remarkable interaction and audiovisual experience.
Interacting with the Service Management Center (SMC), multipoint control unit (MCU), and
Huawei's eSpace Meeting, the RP100-55T provides customers with the industry's most
complete interactive collaborative videoconferencing solution.
The RP100-55T has the following functions:
Supports on-site, video, and collaborative conferences.
−For details about how to initiate an on-site conference, see chapter 2.
−For details about how to initiate a video conference, see chapter 5.
−For details about how to initiate a collaborative conference, see the eSpace Meeting
user guide delivered with this document.
Supports dual stream (video and presentation).
Comes with Huawei's Interactive Digital Board (IDB) to enable remote touch and
interaction.
−Rich interactive and collaborative multimedia capabilities
−Convenient multi-touch technology
−Real-time annotations on presentations
−Human-centered designed physical buttons to implement one-press IDB power-on/off,
screen power-off, and conference mode switching
Functions as a large-screen HD projector.
Offers abundant services.

To connect an external PC to the RP100-55T, use any of the following methods:
Remotely access the external PC from the built-in PC.
Copy the content from the external PC to the built-in PC using network sharing, USB
flash drive, or other methods.
Use a video cable to connect the external PC to the RP100-55T as a presentation source.
An external PC can deliver video signals, but does not provide touch-based controls.
1.2 Key Description
Table 1-1 and Table 1-2 list the keys of the RP100-55T IDB.

The indicator in the lower right corner of the IDB is red when
the RP100-55T is in sleep mode and blue when it is awake.
1.3 Powering On or Off
Powering On
Step 1 Turn the power switch on the right side of the rack to On.
Step 2 Press on the right side of the IDB to display the login page of the built-in PC.
Step 3 Enter the user name and password.
After the RP100-55T is powered on, the TPBoard software automatically runs and its UI is
automatically displayed.
The default user name and password for logging in to the built-in PC are SWMaster and Change_Me.

Powering Off
Step 1 Press on the right side of the IDB to place the RP100-55T in sleep mode.
Step 2 Turn the power switch on the right side of the rack to Off.

1.4 Entering and Waking Up from Sleep Mode
To place the RP100-55T in sleep mode, Press on the right side of the IDB. To wake it up,
press again.
When the screen backlight is off, pressing simply turns on the backlight.

When the RP100-55 is used during an on-site conference, you can press in the lower
right corner to display the built-in PC desktop on the IDB. The IDB provides touch-based
controls. Double-tap to start the IDB software, TPBoard. The option bar is then
displayed on the right.
From the option bar, tap to switch between the built-in PC desktop and IDB UI.
On the built-in PC desktop, you can touch the screen to operate the PC.
On the IDB UI, you can write, annotate, and save. For details, see section 2.1 "TPBoard
Introduction."
2.1 TPBoard Introduction
TPBoard interactive touch software is an interactive application software running on
Windows operating systems. Its main function is cooperating with IDB interactive whiteboard
equipment for creating annotations, comments, simple drawings, and others used in teaching
and giving presentations and conferences. By using the interactive touch features for lectures
and presentations, you can easily and quickly label and save the content of a presentation,
thereby enhancing the record keeping efficiency of events.
2.2 TPBoard UI
Figure 2-1 shows the UI of the TPBoard.

Switch the current tool to select, select a rectangle area in the blank space of the drawing area
in the main window, any objects with the intersection larger than half of its area will be
selected, and these selected objects will be indicated by focal frame. As shown in Figure 2-3.

Switch the current tool to select, and move the mouse in the main window. When the mouse
slide over the object and turns to , click to select the object.
Select All
Click SelectAll to select all objects in the current sketchpad. As shown in Figure 2-4.

Select All graphic when there is no scaling point. As shown in Figure 2-4.
Object Rotation and Scaling Operations
−Rotate object:
Select the object to be rotated, press and hold the selected object's rotation point, drag the
mouse to rotate the object. As shown in Figure 2-5.

−Scale objects:
Select the object to be scaled, press and hold the selected object's scaling point, drag the
mouse to scale the object. As shown in Figure 2-5.
Pen

Highlighter
Click to select Highlighter for writing. There are only two colors available in the drawing bar,
or can be selected from the sub-menu of Pen, the writing effect is as shown in Figure 2-7.

Click to select Flat Pen for writing. There are only two colors available in the drawing bar, or
can be selected from the sub-menu of PEN, the writing effect is as shown in Figure 2-8.
