1 Safety Precautions
For safety purposes, read these safety precautions carefully and observe them during operation.
Basic Requirements
lKeep the device dry during storage, transportation, and operation.
lPrevent collision of the device during storage, transportation, and operation.
lDo not attempt to dismantle the device. In case of any fault, contact an authorized
maintenance center for assistance or repair.
lWithout prior written consent, no organization or individual is permitted to make any
change to the structure or safety and performance design of the device.
lWhile using the device, observe all applicable laws, directives and regulations, and respect
the legal rights of others.
Environment Requirements
lPlace the device in a well-ventilated place. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
lKeep the device clean, free of dust and stains.
lDo not place the device near a water source or in a damp area.
lPlace the device on a stable surface.
lDo not place any object on the top of the device. Reserve sufficient space around the device
for heat dissipation.
lDo not place the device on or near inflammable materials such as foam.
lKeep the device away from heat source or flames, such as radiators or candles.
lKeep the device away from any household appliances that generate strong magnetic or
electromagnetic fields, such as microwave ovens, refrigerators, or mobile phones.
Operation Requirements
lDo not allow children to play with the device or accessories. Swallowing the accessories
may be fatal.
lUse only accessories (such as the power adapter and the battery) provided or authorized
only by the manufacturer.

lEnsure that the device does not get wet. If water gets into the device, disconnect the power
supply immediately and unplug all the cables connected to the device, such as the power
cable and the telephone cable, and then contact an authorized maintenance center.
lWhen installing the phone, comply with Limited Power Source (LPS) and local electric
security standards, and use the power supply of safety extra low voltage (SLEV).
lBefore connecting or disconnecting any cable, shut down the device and disconnect the
power supply.
lWhile connecting or disconnecting any cable, ensure that your hands are dry.
lDo not step on, pull, or bend any cable excessively; doing so may result in the cable may
be damaged, leading to device malfunction.
lDo not use old or damaged cables.
lKeep the power plug clean and dry, to prevent electric shock or dangerous situations.
lDuring lightning, disconnect the device from the power supply, and unplug all the cables
connected to the device, such as the power cable and the telephone cable, to avoid lightning
strike.
lIf the device is unused for a long time, disconnect the power supply and unplug the power
plug.
lIf smoke, sound, or smell is emitted from the device, stop using the device immediately,
disconnect the power supply, and unplug the power supply and other cables. Contact an
authorized maintenance center for advice and repair.
lMake sure that no objects (such as metal shavings) enter the device through the heat
dissipation vent or speaker.
lDo not scratch or abrade the shell of the device. Paint flakes shed may lead to skin allergies
or device malfunction. If the paint flakes shed drop into the device, a short circuit may
occur.
Cleaning Requirements
lBefore cleaning the device, stop using it, disconnect the power supply, and unplug all the
cables connected to the device, such as the power cable and the telephone cable.
lDo not clean the device exterior with any cleaning solution or cleanser spray. Use a piece
of soft cloth to clean the device shell.
Battery Usage Requirements
lUse only batteries provided or authorized by the manufacturer. Pay attention to the polarity
of the batteries while installing them.
lIf a battery does not fit in the device, do not apply force; doing so may lead the battery to
leak or explode.
lIf the device is not used for a long time, remove all the batteries.
lIf any battery leaks, emits smoke, or an abnormal smell, stop using it immediately.
lSelect the charger that matches with the battery. Otherwise, the device may be damaged.
lDo not throw the battery in fire.
lIf the battery fluid comes in contact with your skin or clothes, rinse with water immediately
and seek medical assistance.

lIf the battery fluid goes into your eyes, do not rub your eyes. Rinse your eyes with water
immediately and seek medical assistance.
LCD Usage Requirements
lDo not expose the LCD to direct sunlight.
lDo not press, scratch, or damage the LCD; do not place heavy objects on top of it.
lDo not stare at the display screen for a long time. This may harm your eyes or blur your
vision.
LCD Cleaning Requirements
lAccording to the instructions given in the attached manual, use a piece of soft cloth to
remove dust from the surface of the LCD.
lDo not clean the screen with volatile solvent, such as alcohol, benzene or dilution agent.
Do not touch the screen with rubber or plastic material for a long time. This will deteriorate
the surface gloss of the LCD.
Environmental Protection
Do not dispose of the device and the accessories in a garbage can. Dispose of the device according
to the local regulations on disposing of packing materials, exhausted batteries and abandoned
devices, and support the recycling activity.

2.1 Orientation
eSpace 8850 is a full-featured phone that features video call, user-friendly LCD touchscreen,
high definition (HD) video camera, and directory functions. By supporting the voice over IP
(VoIP) service, eSpace 8850 is the best choice for senior management personnel and enterprise
users.
2.2 Features
2.2.1 Novel Appearance and Structure
leSpace 8850 has an integrated, streamlined, and sleek appearance.
leSpace 8850 has a 7-inch full touchscreen with an adjustable inclination angle.
–The resolution of the touchscreen is up to 800 x 480 pixels.
–The vertical angle of the touchscreen can be angled from 0° to 35° by adjusting the
support to one of five preset positions.
lAn HD camera is provided.
–eSpace 8850 has a built-in HD camera.
–The built-in camera can rotate vertically between a 30° upward angle and a 90°
downward angle.
–The camera can be hidden.
2.2.2 Multiple Services and Functions Available
eSpace 8850 supports various broadband services.
lHigh-quality VoIP call

lLinkage
You can operate eSpace 8850 on eSpace Desktop, such as making, answering, and ending
calls.
lCorporate directory
When the corporate directory is configured, you can query contact information about all
enterprise members on eSpace 8850.
lAlbum functions, you can view pictures stored in the local memory of eSpace 8850 or an
external storage device in presentation mode.
lDigital cordless handset
lLarge-capacity storage of contacts and call histories
–A maximum of 2000 entries can be saved to the contacts. Each contact can have up to
four numbers saved, such as home phone, office phone, mobile phone and other.
–Up to 20 groups can be created.

–A maximum of 100 dialed numbers, 100 received calls, and 100 missed calls can be
