How to ensure safety when doing handicrafts
Children start working with handicraft tools at the age of three or four. However, they are still not aware of the dangers like
older people and can therefore sometimes be careless with them. The Hubelino crafting templates require scissors, pens
and glue. Please support your children in taking as many steps as possible where sharp and pointed objects are used. The
best way to do this is to explain all tools to your child or children at the beginning. It‘s especially important to show them
how to hold and use them safely. The most important safety rules when crafting with Hubelino templates are:
1) When carrying pointed and dangerous tools, the tip should be pointing downwards, scissors should only be
carried and deposited closed. Handicraft scissors for children with rounded tips are ideal.
2) For all steps where paper or cardboard has to be glued on, handicraft glue or adhesive corners for photos are
particularly suitable, hot glue guns or superglue when working together with children should be avoided.
3) After crafting, all tools should be returned safely to their original place.
