2. Insert the handle bars into the handle bar hole
3. Use the allen key 5 or 6 (according to the handle bar type) to fasten the screw in the handle bar
holder.
4. Loosen the end nuts on the front wheel axis using the nut key 15 (if the fast attachment system is
used, fasten the handle and unscrew)
5. Attach the front wheel into the front fork (in accordance the direction shown on the tire if available)
and fasten the nuts (see item 3) so that there is no spontaneous loosening possible.
6. Attach the front wheel so that the disk fits into the brake callipers attached to the spring fork.
FINAL INSPECTION
After you have finalized the installation, conduct the final inspection and make sure that:
Each screw is properly tightened
Tires are pumped with the recommended value (shown on the tires)
Brakes are working properly
Inspect the proper operation of the brakes prior to every ride!
If the brakes are not used properly, you could lose control over your kick-bike. Braking your kick bike
requires a bit of practice to prevent you to put you or others into danger. Please go slow on your

7
first ride and brake gently to familiarize yourself with their operation. Front brake lever is located at
the left side of handle bars, the rear brake lever is on the right side.
If you have assembled and inspected the electrical kick-bike before the ride, turn on the power switch or key
by turning to “on” position. The battery indicator on the handle bars turns on and the electrical kick-bike is
prepared for the ride.
Notice: prior to every ride check the fastening of all screws, pressure in the tires
and brakes!
Notice: when you accelerate on full throttle from stopped position, you shall
expect that the motor power could imbalance you. To limit this risk we
recommend to use the accelerator after setting the kick-bike into motion by your
foot.
USING ALARM
Electrical kick-bike is equipped with the acoustic theft protection device, an alarm. The alarm is activated by
turning the start key to OFF position and pulling of the key out of the kick-bike. Alarm sound is activated at
the moment when the control unit notices that the rear wheel has turned. To disable the alarm, insert the
key and turn it to ON position.
The alarm is powered from the kick-bike battery and requires no maintenance. Alarm is not functional when
the battery is completely depleted.

9
Dismantling
Turn the power off by turning of the key. Fasten the six screws on the edge of the standing plate (see picture
3). Remove the standing plate. Disconnect the connection cable from the battery (see picture 4) as well as
the charging connectors. Lift the battery straight up.
Installation
Proceed in reverse order. Please observe the correct polarity of the battery and charging connector!
Please make sure that the accumulator is fully charged prior to the first ride. Use only the charger that was
supplied with the electrical kick bike HUGO Bike. Using of different charger could damage or destroy the
battery or the kick-bike electronics, invalidating the warranty as well as creating the fire hazard. Make sure
that the charger uses the same voltage as in the country where you use the kick-bike.

10
BATTERY CHARGING
Battery supplied with the electrical kick-bike HUGO Bike will very slowly discharge when not in use. It is
therefore recommended to charge the battery frequently –at least always after you finish your ride and if
you are not using the kick bike every 14 days to full capacity.
Regardless to the battery state charge the battery after every ride! If you will take your charger with you,
you could re-charge during every stop, increasing the HUGO Bike range. Timely charging of your battery will
secure you with long lifespan, increased capacity and prevents damage.
Always have the power off during charging.
Battery charging:
1. Battery could be charged in electrical kick-bike or while removed from the frame, in which case you
have to use the reduction that is not part of the standard delivery. Charge the battery with the kick-
bike turned off.
2. Always connect the charger to the battery or kick-bike first and to the mains second.
3. Electrical connection shall meet the requirements on the charger.
4. When the charger is connected to the battery and mains, the red led indicator lights up, signaling the
start of the charging process. The charging will stop immediately when the battery is fully charged.
The charging is completed when the led indicator turns green.
5. Disconnect the charger from the mains first and from the battery second. Store the battery out of
the reach of children.
Maximal charging time is 5 –8 hours when the battery is fully depleted. The charger is supplied with the kick-
bike with the overcharge protection and will stop the charging process when the battery is fully charged.
Warranty conditions for the battery in relation with its capacity, charging cycles and age are listed at the end
of this document.
Notice: use only the charger supplier with the electrical kick-bike or charger
designated to the exact battery type used. Otherwise you could irreversibly
damage the battery or the charger.
Notice: Never charge the battery in wet environment. This could lead to
destruction of the charger as well as damage to the kick-bike control unit.

11
BATTERY STORAGE
Battery shall be fully charged before the use or storage.
Do not throw the battery into the fire or damage it mechanically. This could release toxic substances.
Do not break the battery open. Contact the service for repair.
Store the battery in room or slightly cooler temperature (maximal temperature range is 5°c to 30°c, ideally
from 5°c to 20°c). Freezing the battery leads to its damage, voiding the warranty.
If the battery is emitting sound, gets too hot or leaks liquids, stop using it immediately.
Always store the battery in cool, dry and well ventilated place out of the sunlight and heat sources.
Store the battery in room or slightly cooler temperature (maximal temperature
range is 5°c to 30°c, ideally from 5°c to 20°c) in cool, dry and well ventilated place
out of the sunlight and heat sources.
Never store the battery in area with temperature lower than 5°c. This will damage
the battery and void the warranty.

12
ELECTRICAL KICK-BIKE RANGE
Several factors influence the maximal range of your kick-bike, for example:
-Battery status
-Headwind
-Tire pressure
-Rider weight and load
-Age / battery use
-Terrain
-Outside temperature
-Road surface
Please keep in mind that the range and power is significantly affected by the outside temperature. When the
temperature drops below 5°c, the range and power is lowered. This is a normal attribute with the batteries
and it is not a subject to the warranty.
Battery is equipped with the total discharge protector, preventing the possibly damaging complete discharge
of the battery. This protector causes that at the moment of a near-depletion the battery shuts off completely,
which will stop the kick-bike. By turning the on/off key it is possible to turn the kick-bike back on. If you will
operate the thumb accelerator gently –maintaining low load to the kick-bike, gradual power increase,
maintaining low speed –it is possible to ride the bike. Recharge the battery as soon as possible to prevent
damage by further self-discharge.

13
