OFFLINE MODE
ONLINE MODE
Cards permissions are stored in SH3 internal
database.
Cards permissions are stored in a central
application like HWg-DCD.
Possibility to control many cabinets and manage
all cards from one point.
Additional lock control over SMS or Admin
Command Center is available.
Locks can be open via DIN key and web interface.
Activity can be watched thru emails and syslog.
Detailed activity record is available as text log
for each cabinet.
Watch brown or blue line according to appreciate mode information.
Where switch mode
One device two different modes!
Choose OFFLINE or ONLINE mode prior to continue!

First steps
1) Connecting the cables
Connect the unit to the Ethernet (patch cable to a switch, or a cross-over cable to a PC).
Connect swing handles and door contacts.
Plug the power adapter in to a power outlet and connect it to the HWg-SH3 power
connector.
The green Power LED lights up on the top of cover.
If the Ethernet connection works properly, the LINK (yellow) LED lights up after a short
while, and then flashes whenever data transfer takes place (activity indication).
After power up, the LINK LED flashes rapidly to indicate IP address negotiation over DHCP.
2) Configuring the IP address –UDP Config
UDP Config utility –see root directory
of the supplied CD (Windows and
Linux versions).
Alternatively download from www.HW-
group.com
Software > UDP Config.
Click the icon to launch UDP
Config. The program
automatically looks for connected devices.
To search for devices, click the
Find Devices icon.
The program looks for devices on your
local network. Double-click a MAC
address to open a basic device
configuration dialog.
Configure network parameters
IP address / HTTP port (80 by
default)
Network mask
Gateway IP address for your
network
Device name (optional)
Click the Apply Changes button to
save the settings.

3) WWW interface of the device
To open the WWW interface of the
device:
oEnter the IP address into a web
browser
oClick the underlined IP address in
UDP Config
The WWW page displays current states of leak sensor.
Home page is refreshed periodically, no manual refresh is required.

4) Add card (user) in OFLINE MODE

Touch card to RFID if empty.
Known cards are recognized.
Use this link to assign Card ID to user.
Use this link only if you
know Card ID!
Card ID will be prefilled

5) Add cabinet to HWg-DCD software
Run HWg-DCD software
Use menu Cabinet > Add new cabinet, or press
key Ins.
Press Next, select desired device from list and
press Next again. You may secure your
communication optionally.
Enter Name of cabinet and select number of
controlled doors at the bottom.
Doors must be enabled to be controlled via
HWg-DCD, see Product configuration, page
Door setup, fields Open from HWg-DCD!
Set door contacts end its default states.
IMPORTANT!
Select which RFID card reader is connected to
SH3.
If you select any reader connected to SH3, the
device will be switched to online mode and DCD
software take control over reader!
Confirm settings a pres Finish.
6) Add card (user) to HWg-DCD software
In HWg-DCD software, use User > Edit user > New.
We suggest add at least one cabinet with RFID reader prior.
7) Set permission for (user) in HWg-DCD software
In HWg-DCD software, double click to selected cabinet.
Click to card User Access, via button Select user specify approved users and then set their
permission for access to cabinet.

Sorting email using field Subject
Subject can be used to easily create sorting rules for incoming mails or handle events generated
by your SMS gate (in case Email-2-SMS service).
TO and CC limits
Fields TO and CC can hold one email address each. No address lists are allowed.

Download last version of HWg-DCD software from http://www.hw-group.com

Lock your settings
Demo mode allows you protect all device settings from changes. In this mode all visitors can freely
browse and see all pages, but no configuration change is accepted. You can easily put device to
public internet and nobody will change the configuration.
