3. ASSEMBLING 4. USAGE GUIDE
1) Attaching The Diverter Valve Onto your Faucet.
Note: Please check the small installation guide for the steps in detail with photos.
2) Assembling the Unit to Tap.
1. Insert outlet pipe into top cap.
2. Screw the diverter valve onto the tap head.
3. Connect one end of the rubber hose to the Diverter valve and screw
it on tightly.
4. Insert the hose through the hole on the base stand.
3) How to insert your supply hose into the HWT Alkaline Ionizer.
1. Take off the blue clip on the water entry at the bottom.
2. Insert the hose into the hole.
Note: The two insert depths for the hose attachment are designed for your protection. Please
ensure you push the hose into the depth as indicated otherwise the hose may fall out during
use. With the second insert depth, the hose is fastened by the connector and will not pull out
during use once it is inserted properly.
Push the hose firmly into the deepest level. Not pushing the hose in far enough may
cause leakage.
3. After the hose is securely attached in the second position, then reattach the
blue clip to keep the hose fastened.

Please read this before use
1. Run water through your HWT Alkaline Ionizer for 30 minutes.
This is based on 0.8L per minute flow rate. The purpose is to saturate
the media and to flush out any loose carbon particles etc. Once
completed you can adjust the flow rate.
2. Your HWT Alkaline Ionizer is capable of running for up to 30 minutes
before any reduction in its ability to supply excellent pH and ORP
results. After 30 minutes its performance may reduce. Allow your
HWT Alkaline Ionizer 5 - 10 minutes ‘rest’ before re-use.
3. Flow rate is critical to the performance of the HWT Alkaline Ionizer and
requires a set time for the water to pass through the activating media.
To determine the correct flow rate ( 0.8 to 1 litre per minute) use a
1 litre container and time the output. Adjust your flow controller
(see picture on the following page) until the correct flow rate has been
achieved. Normally all you need is approximately 1/2 a turn.
4. Because your HWT Alkaline Ionizer is always ionizing and creating
energised water, your first glass of water in the morning may have
a slight metallic taste. You may wish to pour this firs glass out and
consume the second and many after with confidence.

5. After 6 months use of your HWT Alkaline Ionizer we recommend you change
the filter.
ADJUSTING THE FLOW CONTROL USING A SCREW DRIVER’S EDGE
Note: The Ceramic membrane in your filter will collect waste particles. Over time this may reduce
the flow of water. To rectify, simply open the top, turn on the tap to free the filter, and scrub the
ceramic as per the manual.
6. After installation,turn on the tap and let the water run through the system for at
least 30 minutes.The filtered water will be murky or slightly grayish/blackish due
to carbon dust being washed off from carbon filters. Once water runs clear, the
filtered water can be used directly for drinking, washing, cooking and enjoying.
7. When you turn off the tap, filtered water may still flow out for another 20-30
seconds.This is due to the residual pressure that has built up within the system
while it was in use.
8. If the system is left unused for a few days, the initial flow of the filtered water
may be slightly grayish. Just let water run for about 1-3 minutes until it is clear
and system is ready for regular use again.
1) Taking off the Ceramic Filter for Periodic Cleaning
When the outflow of the filtered water decreases or stops
completely, this indicates that the Ceramic Filter of the Cartridge
is clogged with mud or sediment, making it difficult for in-coming
water to pass through the system. The Ceramic Filter will need to
be cleaned.
Note: Use soft scouring pad. Do NOT use a hard toothbrush or metal scourers
as these can damage the Ceramic Filter.
Important:
Clean the Ceramic Filter of the Filter Cartridge with running
tap water.
DO NOT soak in any detergents or wash with any detergent-based
cleaners.

5. HOW TO CHANGE THE FILTER AND
CLEAN THE CERAMIC FILTER LAYER

2) Replacing the Filter Cartridge
The Filter Cartridge will need to be replaced after about 5,000 litres of water
or 6 months of usage. However, this depends on the in-coming water quality
and usage volume. Please be vigilant in this regard to ensure your
water quality.
1. Turn off the system.
2. Pull out the Outlet Pipe from the Top Cap (Diagram A).
3. Turn Casing Cover anti-clockwise to loosen (Diagram B).
4. Pull off the Top Cap (Diagram C).
5. Important: Turn on tap water and it will push filter cartridge up (Diagram D)
6. Take it out and wash with the sourcing pad (Diagram E)
7. Let water fill to about 1/5 of the casing. Then turn off the tap water
8. Re-install the cartridge. Flatten handle.
9. Finally, re-attach the Top Cap. Then screw on the Casing Cover clockwise and
reconnect the Outlet Pipe
1. Please do not use the HWT Alkaline Ionizer if the filter is over 6 months
old or if the device is damaged in any way.
2. Do not run hot water throught the HWT Alkaline Ionizer as this will
damage the unit.
3. Please ensure you follow the manual and operating indstructions.
4. If the flow of water throught the device slows significantly please clean
the ceramic filter as instructed.
5. After replacing the filter cartridge, please let water run throught your
HWT Alkaline Ionizer for at least 30 minutes before use.
6. Ensure the tap water has been shut off if the unit is not in use.
7. To clean the exterior of your HWT Alkaline Ionizer, please use only
warm soapy water with a sponge.
8. The manufacturer and distributer accepts no responsibility or liability
for any injury or loss as a result of incorrect installation and usage.

6. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Question 3:
If the filtered water has a peculiar smell and tastes different,
what should I do ?
Answer:
The change in smell and taste could happen if your HWT Alkaline Ionizer
is left with water contained inside for a few weeks. In this case, it is best
to remove the cartridge and drain out the leftover water. All you need
to do is rinse the casing and the unit for at least 15 minutes before
resuming usage.
Question 4:
Can I run hot water through the my HWT Alkaline Ionizer?
Answer:
No! Hot water will affect the efficacy and efficiency of the Ceramic Filter
and the Carbon Filter in the unit, thus compromising on the quality of
the filtered water.

Will boiling HWT Alkaline Ionizer Water affect its health-giving properties
?
Answer:
No! When Alkaline Ionizer Water is heated, the molecular clusters will
temporarily break up. Once cooled, the water molecules will regroup
to its original stable cluster arrangement with all its healthy
properties intact.

Is it safe to drink water directly from this HWT Alkaline Ionizer without boiling?
Answer:
YES, this water system 8-Stage HWT Alkaline Ionizer gives clean, safe, health-giving
water on demand. Boiling water before consumption has long been practiced to
offer people assurance that the water is free from bacteria, however boiling water
is not necessary. Instead, what is required is a good filtration and purification
system, which removes all other contaminants present on our tap water that are
hazardous to health such as chlorine, heavy metals, rust, lead and many others.

Can I use this HWT Alkaline Ionizer with untreated underground water?
Answer:
Untreated underground water consists of an extremely wide spectrum of
contaminants. This makes it even more important to have this HWT Alkaline
Ionizer, as it will improve the condition and quality the untreated underground
water. Do not be alarmed if you notice any whitish specks in the filtered water.
These are specks of calcium which are not harmful in anyway.
This filtered water is clear of impurities and will not transform magnesium and
calcium ions into limescale. The filtered water only retains healthful mineral ions
which are good for human body. When the filtered water is left to cool after
boiling, there may be fine specks floating on the water surface and some at the
bottom of your water container. These are not a cause for concern or worry as
these minerals are good for the body and safe to consume.

Answer:
