INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING - To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be
observed, including the following:

DANGER - to avoid electric shock read the safety instructions. This pump
has no user serviceable parts. Any service should be performed by an
authorized service representative
1. A) If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water
leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source
B) Carefully examine the pump after installation. It should
not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended
to be wet. Do not operate any pump if it has a damaged cord or plug, is
malfunctioning, or damaged in any manner
C) If the plug or receptacle is wet disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker, and
then disconnect the plug.
D) Please keep children away from the pump, electrical cords and outlets.
E) Always un plug a pump from an outlet when not in use,
before putting on or taking o parts, and before cleaning.
Never yank the cord to pull the plug from the outlet. Grasp the plug and
pull to disconnect.
F) Do not use the pump other than for its intended use,
the use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts
such as heaters, reectors, lamp bulbs, etc.
G) Make sure a pump mounted on a tank or fountain is securely installed
before operating it.
H) We advise the use of a GFCI circuit breaker.
I) CAUTION:This pump has been evaluated for fresh water and salt water.
2. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS (OUTDOOR UNIT) WARNING: Risk of
electrical shock. The pump should be grounded to minimize the possibility
of electrical shock. The pump is equipped with an electrical cord having an
equipment grounding conductor and a grounding type plug.The plug must
be plugged into an outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with
all appropriate codes and ordinances.This pump is for use in a nominal 120
voltcircuitandhas agroundingplugthatlooks likethe pluginillustrationA.
Must be used with a GFCI circuit breaker.
3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
A) DO NOT plug the pump into electrical power source before you have
nished the pump installation.
B) If the extension cord is necessary, a UL Listed cord with a proper rating
should be used. A cord rate for less amperes or watts than the pump
rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that
it will not be tripped over or pulled.
C) Ensure that the electrical cord loops (indoor applications) below
the electrical outlet forming a “drip loop”. This prevents the water from
running down the cord and into the electrical outlet. Illustration B
