Operates with a 12V
18Ah Battery, average
consumption is 14mA
(=> 50 days batt life -
based on 7 x 3 hr purges
and a 1m (3ft) water level
rise per day)
•
A small 5 Watt Solar
panel is sufficient to keep
the battery fully charged.
•
Operates with up to 300m
(900ft) of river line and
30m (100ft) head of wa-
ter.
The HS-35, when used with a
Dry Nitrogen source and the Gas
Chamber Orifice GC01, forms a
complete Hydrostatic Level Sen-
sor for measuring water level in
dams, rivers, canals and tanks
with up to 300m (900ft) of river
line and 30m (100ft) of water
head. The unit can be used with
any pressure transducer .
A dot point view of the product is
as follows :
•
Must be used with a GCO
•
Can be used with any
pressure transducer.
•
Automatic Purge se-
quence :
1. Operate a 3 way valve to
isolate the user’s pressure
transducer.
2. Switch a valve to connect the
dry N2 gas bottle to the
GCO.
3. Purge for 1 secs.
4. Monitor the pressure for 25
secs.
5. Switch the valve back to
connect the transducer to the
GCO.
•
Purge when :
1. Every 3 hours (fixed) and
2. When water level rises by
more than 100mm (4 inches)
or
3. Manual purge by operator.
•
Falling water level – ex-
cess pressure vents auto-
matically from GCO – no
purging required.
•
Pressure on transducer is
held constant during a
purge.
