TURNING THE TONOMETER ON AND LOADING THE PROBE

1.PresstheSelectorMeasurebuontoturnthetonometeron.Illustraonsofthesealternavewaysofstarng:
(Remember to use the wrist strap)
2.Opentheprobetubebyremovingthecapandinsert
theprobeintotheprobebaseasshownintheimage.
3.WhenthePlay-symbolappearsonthedisplay,
thetonometerwillbereadyformeasurements.

Step 1. Askthepaenttorelaxand
lookstraightaheadataspecicpoint.
Bringthetonometernearthepaent’seye.

Green probe base light indicaon
ONE SHORT BEEP
Indicates a correct single measurement.
DOUBLE BEEP
Indicates an incorrect single measurement. (See error messages from full manual).
LONG BEEP
Indicates that six succesful measurements are done and IOP result is available
at the display.

Step 2. Keeptheprobehorizontalandpoinngperpendicularlytothecenterofthecornea.Thedistance
fromthepoftheprobetothepaent´scorneashouldbe4-8mm(5/32-5/16inch).Theprobe
baselightmustbegreen.
Step 3. Press the Measure buon to measure IOP.
Probewillcontacttheeyeduringmeasurements:Pressandholdthebuontocollect6measurements
inarowORPressthebuonbriey6mestocollect1measurementattheme.

PARTS OF THE TONOMETER
CLEANING THE PROBE BASE
Theprobebasecanbereusedaercarefulcleaning.Makesure
thattheprobebaseiscompletelydrybeforeusingit.
1. Unscrewtheprobebasecollarandcarefullyremovetheprobe
basefromthetonometer.
2.Inverttheprobebaseoveracontainerlledwith70-100%
alcoholsoluon,allowingtheprobebasetodropintothe
containerandletsoakfor5-30minutes.
3.Drytheprobebasebyblowingsomecompressedairintoit.
4.Carefullyreinsertthecompletelydryprobebase,screwthe
collarbackintothetonometer.
Pleaserefertothemanualformoredetailedinstruconsof
changingandcleaningtheprobebase.
CHANGE/CLEAN THE PROBE BASE REGULARLY TO AVOID
UNNECESSARY SERVICE.
