User’s Guide
A. Introduction
Thank you for selecting the i.Sound My
Messenger Board. The main features include a
built in microphone with a speaker for record-
ing and single button navigation for easy
playback of audio messages. The unit comes
with LED indicator lights that notify you when
there is a recorded message. Recording time is
up to 30 seconds. It also has a foam padded
bulletin board for notes, pictures, announce-
ments, etc... Other features include magnetized
erasable white board and magnetized dry erase
marker with eraser, key hooks and easy wall
mount. The unit can be powered by four ”AAA”
batteries (not included) or by 5v AC Adapter
(not included). The unit is constructed to
provide years of reliable, trouble-free service.
Please read the entire instruction manual
supplied with this product prior to operation.
The documentation will assist you in obtaining
the best equipment performance. All manuals
should be stored for later use.
B. Cautions and Warnings
1. Placement
To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose
this appliance to rain or moisture. To prevent it
from falling, do not place the set on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. Keep the unit
away from heat sources and excessive dust.
2. Installation
Ensure that My Messenger Board is used in
accordance with the instructions and illustrations
provided in this manual.
3. Objects and Liquid
Do not push objects of any kind into the unit
through openings; do not spill or spray liquid of
any kind on or in the system (this may result in a
fire or electric shock).
4. Disassembly
Do not attempt to disassemble the board. There
is a risk of electric shock. Contact i.Sound
customer service personnel if your system is
malfunctioning or in need of repair.
5. Cleaning the Unit
When cleaning, make sure the system is
powered off and unplugged from the power
source. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners. Use a cloth lightly dampened with
water for cleaning the exterior of the system only.

D. Set Up and Installation
BATTERIES: Remove the battery door by
pushing down and pulling the locking tab.
Install the four “AAA” batteries according to
the diagram inside the battery compartment.
(Batteries not included). Replace battery door
to the back of the unit.
MOUNTING: Locate a stud or crossbeam in
your wall and screw in the two mounting
screws approximately 11 inches apart from
each other. Carefully hang your My Messen-
ger Board. It is recommended that you do not
hang your board over any breakable materi-
als like glass or electronics.
E. Using the My Messenger Board
POWER: Slide the power button located on the
right side of the unit to the “ON” position to
power on the unit.
RECORDING MESSAGES: To record a new
message, hold the “RECORD/PLAY” button
down for five (5) seconds until the red LED light
begins flashing. After a few seconds the red
LED light should stop flashing and remain solid
red. This indicates that you are ready to record
your message. You may leave up to a thirty (30)
second message. Once you are done recording
your message, press the “RECORD/PLAY”
button once again to save and store your new
message. You should then see a blue flashing
LED that indicates that you have a “NEW”
message. Once a message has been played for
the first time, the blue LED will remain illumi-
nated indicating that you have a saved
message.
PLAYING RECORDED MESSAGES: To
playback a new or saved recorded message,
press the “RECORD/PLAY” button. To stop the
playback, press the “RECORD/PLAY” button
once and the message playback will stop. Once
a message is stopped it automatically rewinds
back to the beginning, so that the next time you
play it, it will start from the beginning.
