Quick Start Guide: IC Sciences Blood
Pressure Cuff (Arm)
Thank you for your purchase of the IC Sciences Blood Pressure Arm Cuff. As an owner of the arm
cuff, you automatically receive access to IC Sciences’ My BP Coach PRO (available for iOS and
Android). Please follow the instructions below to get started.
To set up your cuff and pair with your iOS or Android device:
Remove blood pressure monitor from box and remove plastic wrap. Under the monitor, you
will find 4 AAA batteries, an AC charging adaptor, an arm cuff, and your user manual.
Unwrap and Insert the batteries into the blood pressure monitor on the bottom of the monitor.
Insert the end of the plastic tubing on the arm cuff into the hole on the left side of the blood
pressure monitor.
If you have not already downloaded My BP Coach, visit iTunes App store or Google play and
download the app. Once downloaded, and you have paired your devices via BlueTooth, you
will receive an automatic upgrade to My BP Coach PRO. If you have already downloaded the
app, you will automatically upgrade to My BP Coach PRO when you pair your devices
through BlueTooth.
To turn on the arm cuff for the first time: Press and hold START/STOP button for several
seconds to disable shipping mode and engage device.
Before use, you will need to set up your device. Press and hold the SET button to initialize date
and time set up. Use MEM button to change numerals on flashing items followed by SET
button to move to the next numeral.
To pair devices, turn on BlueTooth on your iOS or Android device and then open My BP Coach
App. Both must be on for pair up. With the arm monitor OFF, press and hold “START/STOP”
button for about five seconds to start pair up. When pair up begins, the BlueTooth symbol will
start blinking. If pair up is successful, you will see the BlueTooth symbol and “Done” on the
monitor. If pair up fails, you will see a BlueTooth symbol and “ERROR” on the monitor.
To ensure data transmission to My BP Coach PRO, have the app open when taking your
blood pressure.
With palm up, slide cuff above your elbow. The bottom of the cuff should be about one
inch or so above elbow.
Fasten the Velcro strip around your arm leaving extra room between your arm and the
cuff.
Rest about 5 minutes before taking your blood pressure.
Support your arm on a table, with your arm relaxed.
Press Start.
