MANUAL FOR ICO011 1L ALUMINIUM
SODA SIPHON
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
efore using your soda siphon for the first time,
disassemble the device and fully clean the unit as
per the cleaning instructions in this manual.
Prior to Filling
1. Rinse the bottle with warm water (max.
50°C/122°F) before each use
2. Push the lever several times to check the siphon’s
function
Filling
3. Using a measuring cup, fill the soda siphon with
cold water. Do not fill over 1 litre/1 quart. Overfill-
ing the device will cause it to function incorrectly.
Do not fill your soda siphon with anything other
than cold water, and do not add any extra
ingredients or flavours. The colder the water, the
more carbonation will occur.
Charging
4. Insert the tube and gasket into the headset.
5. Firmly screw the headset onto the bottle of your
soda siphon.
6. Insert 1 ICO soda charger (8g Co2 only, do not use
N2O) into the charger holder.
7. Screw the charger holder with the inserted soda
charger onto the headset until you hear all the
gas has entered the siphon (“hssst!”).
Warning: the siphon is now pressurized! Do not
heat or drop the siphon when pressurized. If
you drop the pressurized siphon, it may be
damaged and dangerous to use. Please
contact ICO if this occurs.
8. Shake the siphon vigorously at least 5 times.
9. Unscrew the charger holder and recycle the
empty soda charger. A slight hiss might be heard
when removing the charger holder: this is normal.
Warning: NEVER use more than one 8g Co2
charger at a time.
Warning: DO NOT use the device with the
charger holder still attached to the dispenser.
The charger holder and the empty charger
must be removed from the dispenser before it
can be used.

Operation
10.Gently press the lever to dispense the soda
water. Direct the stream toward the internal
wall of the drinking glass to avoid excess fizz at
the top of the glass.
Note: If necessary, you can shake the device again in
between each glass of water dispensed. This will
help the gas remain evenly distributed.
Note: Store your pressurized soda siphon in the
fridge when it’s not actively in use.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
General
●Push down on the lever until the soda siphon is
completely empty and there is no pressure left.
Unscrew the head from the siphon.
●Remove the headset and attached straw from
the bottle.
●Rinse the siphon’s components with clear potable
water (max. 50°C /122°F) only.
NOTE: Never use scouring agents, abrasive
sponges/brushes, or sharp objects to clean the
siphon. This will void your warranty and likely
damage the siphon.
NOTE: Do not put your soda siphon in the dishwasher
and do not wash in boiling water.
Service
●Spare parts can be purchased individually from
www.icotrading.com
●If you think there is something wrong with your
siphon, please contact us so we can check the
device’s operation.
Storage
●If your ICO Soda Siphon is not going to be filled
again immediately, leave the components to air
dry in a clean place and store it in a dismantled
condition without the head screwed on. Rinse the
device thoroughly before using again.
Troubleshooting
To release the pressure in your soda siphon
Place the siphon upright in a sink and gently push
down on the lever until the pressure is gone from the
siphon (there is no gas or water leaving the device).
Now the head can be safely removed from the
bottle. If the pressure will not release, please contact
us at www.icotrading.co.uk.
Soda charger will not puncture
1. The charger being used is not suitable: we recom-
mend only using ICO brand 8g Co2 chargers.
2. The charger was inserted backwards: flip the
charger around and attempt to puncture the
charger again.
3. The puncturing unit has been damaged or is
clogged: contact us at www.icotrading.co.uk to
arrange a service.
Water does not carbonate (remains still)
1. The siphon was not shaken enough: shake the
siphon vigorously several times (at least 5 times)
before attempting to dispense.
2. The water is not cold enough: The colder the
water, the more Co2 it can absorb. For the best
results we recommend keeping your filled soda
siphon in your fridge when not in use.
