• All plumbing should be installed according to applicable state
and local codes and regulaons
• Before installaon of the I-CON ushometer, ensure the water
closet or urinal xture, drain line and water supply line are
properly installed
• Water supply lines must be sized to allow for appropriate
water ow for each xture
• Flush all water supply lines of any debris before making and
connecons
• Do not use pipe sealant or plumbing grease on any
components or couplings with excepon to the control stop inlet
• A smooth jawed or strap wrench should be used for installaon
to prevent damage to the nish of the I-CON ushometer and
components
The I-CON ushometer is designed to operate at water pressures
ranging from 15 to 100psi (103 to 689kPa). The xture type
determines the minimum pressure required to the valve. Most
low consumpon water closets are designed to operate with a
minimum owing water pressure of 25psi (172kPa).

I-CON Systems, Inc. (I-CON) warrants that its commercial
manufactured products are made of rst-class materials, are
free from defects, and are made to withstand normal use when
installed properly.Products have the following warranty periods:
3 years for COBALT™, COBALT Pro™, and COBALT Connect™
faucets and ush valves and I-CON EDGE® gateways. 1 year for
all other products and decorave nishes. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase.
Products should be sent to I-CON at the customer’s expense.
I-CON will take a reasonable amount of me to determine if the
product is defecve and whether it will be repaired or replaced.
During the warranty period, items will either be (1) repaired
at no charge using new replacement parts or (2) replaced
with either a new similar product or one manufactured from
new or serviceable used parts that is at minimum a funconal
equivalent to the original. The course of acon will be
determined at I-CON’s discreon. Replacement products that
are installed according to the instrucons provided by I-CON will
assume the remaining warranty of the original product.
The limited warranty is only applicable to the product’s materials
and workmanship. No claims for labor, transportaon, or other
incidental or consequenal costs will be allowed. No extended
warranes are available. THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY
FOR ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO REPAIRING OR
REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. Before installing and
using products, the purchaser is responsible to determine the
products’ suitability and assumes all risks and liabilies related
to the product.
This warranty only applies to persons and organizaons that
purchase I-CON products directly from I-CON or an authorized
I-CON representave for the purpose of resale. This warranty
does not apply to the life of baeries or other consumables.

Measure the distance from the nished wall to the centerline of
the xture spud. Cut the water supply pipe 1 1/4 inches (32mm)
shorter than this measurement. Deburr and chamfer both the
inner and outer diameter of the water supply pipe.
Measure the distance from the nished wall to the rst thread of
the threaded adaptor. Cut the supply tube cover this measured
length.
Slide the wall escutcheon over the supply tube cover and then
slide the assembly over the water supply pipe. Ensure the wall
escutcheon and supply tube cover rests ush against the wall.
Apply thread sealing compound to the male NPT threads of the
threaded adapter. Thread the control stop onto the threaded
adaptor using a smooth jawed wrench.

Slide the threaded adapter onto the water supply pipe. Ensure
full inseron.
Sweat solder the threaded adapter to the water supply pipe.

Insert the boom end of the vacuum breaker tube into the
xture spud then hand ghten the spud nut onto the xture
spud.
Assemble the vacuum breaker tube and spud escutcheon
assemblies as shown in the gure below.
NOTE: In some cases the vacuum breaker tube may
need to be cut down to t the applicaon.

FLUSH SUPPLY
INSTALLATION
Screw the actuator into the valve body. Ensure that the sealing
ring is between the actuator and valve body. Tighten with
smooth jawed wrench.
Insert the ushometer tailpiece into the control stop. To
prevent damage to the O-ring, lubricate with water. Ensure the
ushometer is aligned properly by sliding the body IN and OUT
as required. Hand ghten the tailpiece lock nut to the control
stop.

Hand ghten the vacuum breaker nut to the ushometer. Once
everything is properly aligned, ghten the tailpiece lock nut,
spud nut, & vacuum breaker nut with a smooth jawed wrench.

SUPPLY LINE
Before the water is turned on, unscrew the control stop cap
from the control stop and turn the adjustment screw all the
way CLOCKWISE to ensure that the control stop is closed.
Remove the ushometer cap using a strap wrench. Then remove
the trip mechanism & ProLAST®.

Reinstall the ushometer cap WITHOUT the trip mechanism
and ProLAST®.

Turn on the water supply and ush out all the debris from the
water supply pipe.

Close the control stop by turning the adjustment screw
CLOCKWISE.
Turn the adjustment screw on the control stop
COUNTERCLOCKWISE to ensure the control stop is fully
opened.

Reinstall the ushometer cap (hand-ghten only) Over ghtening
may cause O-Ring to pinch.

COMPLETE
ADJUSTING THE
CONTROL STOP
Turn the adjustment screw on the control stop
COUNTERCLOCKWISE to ensure the control stop is fully
opened, then trip the actuator to acve the ush.
To tune the ushometer, turn the adjustment screw on the
control stop CLOCKWISE in small incremental turns, actuang
the ushometer aer each adjustment. Connue this process
unl the desired ow rate is achieved. The ush should properly
cleanse the xture but is not to be excessive. Once nal
adjustments have been made, reinstall the control stop cap
onto the control stop.
Do not use commercial cleaning compounds. Abrasive or
chemical cleaners may dull the luster and aack the chrome
nish. Use mild soap and water and then dry with a clean
cloth or towel. When cleaning oor le or xtures protect the
ushometer from any splaering of cleaner.
