Product Information
The internal 4-port USB 3.0 card reader IB-872-i3 combines the most popular
memory cards in a clean and elegant way in the 3.5" bay of your desktop PC.
With this card reader the memory cards SD, microSD, CF and MS can be read
and written simultaneously. The additional USB 3.0 Type-A connection provides
even more flexibility and underlines the high connectivity of the IB-872-i3.

Installation
• Before starting the installation of IB-872-i3, please make sure that your
computer is unplugged from the power supply.
• Open the PC case and remove the cover of your free 3.5" slot
on the front side.
• Now push the IB-872-i3 card reader with the USB cable first into the
3.5" slot until the front panel of the IB-872-i3 is on the same level as the
front panel of your PC.
• Fix the card reader IB-872-i3 to your PC with the screws supplied.
• Plug the 20 pin USB 3.0 connector of the integrated cable into the
USB 3.0 20 pin connector on your mainboard.
• Close the PC case and reconnect your
computer to the power supply.

Starting up
• Turn on your PC.
• After booting your PC, the IB-872-i3 card reader is automatically reco-
gnized and ready for operation (power LED shines blue). The necessary
USB drivers are already pre-installed by Windows
®
.
• The IB-872-i3 supports Multi-LUN. All memory cards can be used at the
same time. (please note in this case that the bandwidth of the USB 3.0
connection is shared).
• Insert your memory cards as follows:
• MS memory cards with the gold contacts facing down
• SD memory cards with the golden contacts facing down
• microSD memory cards with the golden contacts facing upwards
• CF memory cards wide groove right side, thin groove left side
• If a memory card is active, the status LED flashes green.

Einbau
• Bevor Sie mit dem Einbau des IB-872-i3 beginnen, stellen Sie sicher, dass
Ihr Computer vom Stromnetz getrennt ist.
• Öffnen Sie das PC-Gehäuse und entfernen Sie die Blende Ihres freien
3,5 Zoll Einschubes an der Frontseite.
• Schieben Sie nun den Kartenleser IB-872-i3, mit dem USB Kabel voran, in
den 3,5 Zoll Einschub bis die Blende des IB-872-i3 mit der Ihres PCs auf
einer Ebene ist.
• Fixieren Sie den Kartenleser IB-872-i3 mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben
an Ihrem PC-Gehäuse.
• Stecken Sie den 20 Pin USB 3.0 Anschluss des integrierten Kabels auf den
USB 3.0 20 Pin Anschluss auf Ihrem Mainboard.
• Schließen Sie das PC-Gehäuse und
verbinden Sie Ihren Computer wieder mit
dem Stromnetz.

Inbetriebnahme
• Schalten Sie Ihren PC an.
• Nach dem Hochfahren Ihres PCs wird der Kartenleser IB-872-i3 automa-
tisch erkannt und ist betriebsbereit (Power LED leuchtet blau).
Die notwendigen USB Treiber sind von Windows
®
bereits vorinstalliert.
• Der IB-872-i3 unterstützt Multi-LUN. Alle Speicherkarten können zur
gleichen Zeit genutzt werden (beachten Sie in diesem Fall, dass die
Bandbreite der USB 3.0 Verbindung geteilt wird).
• Stecken Sie Ihre Speicherkarten wie folgt ein:
• MS Speicherkarten mit den goldenen Kontakten nach unten
• SD Speicherkarten mit den goldenen Kontakten nach untern
• microSD Speicherkarten mit den goldenen Kontakten nach oben
• CF Speicherkarten breite Nut rechte Seite, dünne Nut linke Seite
• Ist eine Speicherkarte aktiv, so blinkt die Status LED grün.
