TUBE
Inserting the Tubing Into the Pump
To maximize suction and pumping output, please use your
pump’s existing tubing.
Insert the tubing
into your pump as
per your pump’s
instruction manual.
You need to insert
your tubing into the
ports on membrane
caps very rmly. CUP
TUBE
PUMP
Inserting the Tubing Into the
Pump-A-Collect Collection Cups
The tubing must go all the way down in the allocated gap in
the ports on the membrane caps.
Sometimes, twisting and pushing the tube inside is the most
effective way of achieving the rmest t.
Your tubing should be tightly secured in the ports on the
membrane caps and should NOT come off as a result of a
gentle pull.
13

Inserting the Tubing Into the
Pump-A-Collect Collection Cups
If your pump’s tubing doesn’t have any adapters (e.g. Spectra
S1, S2, 9 Plus, Lansinoh, Ardo Calypso), simply insert the tubing
rmly in the membrane cap as far down as possible. You may
nd twisting and pushing might enable you to push the tubing
further down into the membrane cap.

Troubleshooting
ISSUE SOLUTION
Condensation
in tubing
Ensure the tubing, the silicone membranes,
and membrane caps are dry before use.
If condensation occurs, ensure tubing is
dry before next use: Disconnect the tubing
from cups and turn the pump back on to
dry the tubing while you are storing your
breastmilk.
Milk in tubing
Check the membranes for damage.
Replace the membranes if needed and
clean/replace the tubing.
Do not sterilize tubing in the dishwasher,
steam sterilizer, or by boiling.
Low or no
suction
Make sure your pump is turned on and the
suction level is set properly. Check duckbill
valves for any damage or wear. Replace
valves if needed. Conrm that duckbill
valves are oriented in the correct position;
see assembly instructions for guidance.
Check that all parts are dry and
securely assembled.
Check tubing to ensure it is inserted into
the ports on membrane caps rmly.
Keep collection cups with tubing
perpendicular and upright in bra;
see placement and bra t instructions.
17

Troubleshooting
Air escaping
or whistling
Some audible air is normal as air
movement is part of suction control.
Review “Inserting the Tubing”
section to ensure that you are using your
tubing appropriately and that your tubing is
inserted into the ports on
membrane caps rmly.
ISSUE SOLUTION
Backow
Protector/
Membrane
Cap opening/
clicking
Separate silicone membrane from
membrane cap and valve base and
ensure that all parts are clean and dry.
Examine membrane for damage or warping
and replace as needed. Reattach the
membrane to the valve base and conrm
that seal is tight before closing with
membrane cap.
Nipple Pain or
Discomfort
Seek advice from a Lactation Consultant
as comfort can be key to sustaining a
breastfeeding journey.
Ensure you are using well-tted breast
shields for both breasts. Lubricate breast
shields with a thin layer of coconut oil if
necessary.
DO NOT continue using your Pump-A-Collect Cups if you
experience pain or discomfort while pumping.
