away from enjoying the added comfort of remote start along with the factory features you love.
Please take a moment to review the following operating instructions.

Your iDataStart system is designed to remote start directly from your factory key fob*.

Your vehicle didn’t remote start? Count your parking light flashes for a system diagnostic and
apply the listed solution.

SYSTEM SYNC PROCEDURE
Step 1 Start engine with key
Step 2 Let engine run for at least 15 seconds
Step 3 Turn engine OFF

WHENSERVICINGYOURVEHICLE
To ensure safety during vehicle servicing the remote starter must be placed in ‘Valet Mode’.
The ‘Valet Mode’ will disable remote start functionality. To activate or deactivate the ‘Valet Mode’,
follow the instructions below:

AFTERREMOTESTARTING
A ‘Key Takeover’ procedure is required to prevent the engine from inadvertently shutting down
before driving. See below for instructions for vehicles with and without ‘Comfort Access’:
FOR VEHICLES WITH ‘COMFORT ACCESS’ SYSTEM
Step 1 Unlock and enter the vehicle
Step 2 Apply the foot brake to complete the takeover
IMPORTANT: If your ‘Comfort Access Sytem’ features are NOT functional following remote start,
please follow the key takeover procedure for vehicles WITHOUT Comfort Access as listed below.
FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT ‘COMFORT ACCESS’
Step 1 Unlock and enter the vehicle
Step 2 Insert the key fob into the key port*
Step 3 Apply the foot brake to complete the takeover
*The usual key ‘pull’ motion will NOT be heard, the key port will charge your key battery normally.
ADJUSTINGYOURDRIVERSETTINGS
When remote starting, your climate and radio preferences will remain in their last positions
by default. Your seating preferences will not auto-adjust, but can be activated via the pre-pro-
grammed buttons beside your seat.
