To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this equipment has a
grounding type plug that has a third (grounding) pin. This plug
will only t into a grounding type power outlet. If the plug
does not t into the outlet, contact qualied personnel to in-
stall the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way.
CAUTION: Do not expose this unit to water or condensation.
CAUTION: Never expose eyes or skin to the UV light. Never
look directly at (or expose skin to) the UV light or at reected
UV light. See installation instructions.
CAUTION: Install the unit so that the power cord is secure and
is not a hazard of any type. Loose cables may become trip or
choke hazards when not properly secured.
CAUTION: This unit is to be wall-mounted in a secure manner.

Thank you for purchasing your UV Air Disinfection unit.
This unit is designed to help purify the air in a room by destroying disease-
causing pathogens such as bacteria and virus. The unit works by exposing
the air that passes over the top of the unit to powerful germicidal UV light.
As air re-circulates in the room, it will pass over the UV light unit multiple
times to provide continuous air disinfection over time.
The VK-250 is sized to operate in moderate sized rooms such as bed-
rooms, living rooms, kitchens, offices or playrooms. The VK-1500 is
designed for larger rooms, offices, classrooms, restaurants, health care
facilities and other common areas. Both systems are not designed for
open concept areas.
For optimal performance this unit should remain “ON” at all times. This
will help ensure the re-circulation effect is maintained and the room air
will be continually treated. When the unit is properly installed there is no
signicant issue of overexposure to UV light – please carefully follow all
instructions and cautions noted in regard to UV light.

1 Prepare unit for installation: Remove the nuts holding the mounting brackets to
the light xture and set aside. Fingerprints can be removed using a dry cloth.
2 UV light can fade wall + ceiling nishes over time. Please locate accordingly.
Locate the mounting holes on the wall, drill 3/16” holes and install mounting
plugs to wall. Mounting holes should be spaced 18” (45.7 cm) apart for the
VK-250 and 48” (122 cm) apart for the VK-1500.
CAUTION: Install the unit at least 7 feet (213 cm) from the oor to ensure
eye shielding from the UV light. Do not install anywhere the UV light can be
seen from above.
UV emitted from this product. The installation instructions must be followed to
ensure no direct human exposure. Eye or skin irritation may result from expo-
sure. Must be installed with the light shining upward only. This device may not
be installed in rooms where the ceiling height is less than 9 feet (275 cm)
3 Install mounting screws (included) into the mounting plugs in wall.
4 Install UV lamp in the xture by rst removing the metal covering which shields
the lamp pin connector (1). Connect the white lamp pin connector to the 4 pins
on the UV lamp (2).
CAUTION: be sure to properly
align the pins with the connector.
Next, gently secure the ends of
the UV lamp in the lamp holders
located inside the xture (3).
Finally, install the metal covering
to shield the lamp connection and
secure with the nut (4).
Installation
CAUTION: Locate the unit so there is easy acccss to electrical power
without the need for extension cords etc. Room size and air circulation
issues should be addressed at this time.

Installation
The unit can now be installed on the wall (5).
5 Install the lamp xture to the wall by hanging the
mounting brackets on the screws in the wall.
Tighten screws to securely mount the unit.
6 Secure the power cord so it does not become a
hazard of any type, including trip hazard or choke
hazard.
7 Plug the unit into wall socket to power the UV lamp.
Your UV Air Puricaion System is now providing germicidal UV light to help purify
the air in your room. For maximum efciency the UV lamp should be on at all
times to constantly purify the air as it passes over the top of the unit.

Keep the unit clean and dust-free. CAUTION: Turn the unit OFF (unplug
the unit) before cleaning or dusting the UV lamp. Only clean a cool lamp
and only use a clean dry fabric cloth for cleaning. Do not use cleaning
agent of any type on the UV lamp. Do not touch the UV lamp with your
bare hands as it will leave skin oils on the lamp and reduce effectivness.
Replace the UV Lamp with a new one every 12 months.
CAUTION: Turn off (unplug) the unit and let the lamp cool before
attempting to replace the UV lamp.
After the lamp replacement, plug the ballast into the wall. The ballast for
the VK-250 will show a green LED light when functioning properly. The
ballast for the VK-1500 will have to be reset by pressing the Reset
button until the display shows “rSET” - continue holding
the button down for another 15 seconds until the
display shows “365” and beeps shortly ...
your ballast is now reset.

There are no user serviceable parts inside this unit, please contact the
manufacturer for assistance.
This unit carries a one year warraty against manufacturers defect from the date
of purchase.
To access warranty services please contact [email protected] for
assistance. Warranty is strictly limited to repair or replacement of a defective unit
(or part thereof) at our discretion. Freight costs to ship unit to the factory for
warranty inspection is the responsibility of the customer and the unit must be
insured against damage in transport.
The UV lamp carries a one year pro-rated warranty against failure. Please note
that this warranty is effective only for “constant on” applications where the unit is
on 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Repeated on/off cycles of the UV lamp will
degrade the lamp life and is not covered by warranty.
