ALL MODELS
WARNING.
This appliance MUST be efficiently earthed.
1. It is ESSENTIAL that the instructions in this booklet are strictly
followed, for safe, economical operation of the boiler.
2. Do not obstruct ventilation ducts, grilles or openings in the boiler
room, or the passage of combustion and ventilation air to the boiler.
3. Do not store objects around or on the boiler, and keep access clear
at all times.
4. Switch off and disconnect the electricity supply before carrying out
maintenance work.
5. Do not turn off the boiler if it is to be left unattended in frosty
weather.
MAINTENANCE
The appliance should be serviced at least once a year by a CORGI
registered installer.
CLEANING
For normal cleaning simply dust with a dry cloth.
To remove stubborn marks and stains use a damp cloth and mild
detergent.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaning materials.
CURRENT GAS SAFETY (INSTALLATION & USE) REGULATIONS OR RULES IN FORCE impose certain
statutory obligations on gas users. This appliance must be installed by a CORGI registered installer.

1. 3-position switch / Manual / Test STB.
Manual : It is regulated by the boiler thermostat(s) (item 5).
No room thermostat fitted.
AUTO automatic position: boilers fitted with a room thermostat.
The manual position does not allow switching off the
regulator.
TEST STB: allows testing the safety thermostat.
2. Double switch Burner/Heating Pump: this double switch
controls the burner and the heating pump.
In the "Winter" position, both heating and domestic hot
water may be operating.
In the "Summer" position, only domestic hot water is
operating (if a hot water tank is connected).
3. Main ON / OFF switch.

TO LIGHT THE BOILER
Before turning the boiler on, make sure that the installation is
filled with water.
The initial start-up shall be performed by a qualified
professional.
Carry out the start-up operations in the order indicated below:
- Switch on electrical supply to boiler.
- Open the main gas shut-off valve.
- Press and release the safety control box (14) reset button.
- Check the position of the 3-position switch (1):
- Set the Summer / Winter switch (2) to the "Winter"
position.
- Set the controls (thermostats (5), regulator) so that heat is
required. Ensure all system controls are calling for heat.
- The 1st stage thermostat always must be set to a value
approximately 5oC higher than the 2nd stage thermostat.
- Set the ON/OFF switch 3to the "ON" position.
- The ignition burner will light followed by the main burner.
- If it does not light the red alarm indicator (14) lights up.
Press in and release the Safety Control Box reset button
(14). The controls will reset and attempt to light.
TO SHUT DOWN THE BOILER
Turn the boiler off at the time clock or system controls. Wait 3
min. and then set the ON/OFF switch (3) to OFF 'O' position.
Note the frost warning below.
TO RELIGHT THE BOILER
After short periods
Switch on the time switch or system controls and set the ON/
OFF switch (3) to . The boiler will light providing the external
controls are calling for heat.
After long periods
Follow the lighting instructions above. Refill the system if it has
been drained.
CAUTION. To avoid the possibility of injury during the use or cleaning of this appliance care
should be taken when handling edges of sheet steel components.
FROST WARNING
If frost is likely, leave the boiler thermostat at a reduced
temperature setting and do not turn off the gas cock. Ensure
external controls allow the boiler to operate if necessary. Note that
this may not protect remote parts of the system, in which case a
separate frost thermostat should be fitted or the system drained
and the boiler shut down, as for Long Periods.
IN CASE OF PROBLEMS
Items to check before calling your service agent.
The burner does not start:
- Boiler thermostat(s) (5): check the settings.
- Safety thermostat (9)might be switched off due to accidental
overheating. To restart the boiler, remove the protecting cap of
the reset button located on the safety thermostat (9)and press
the button using a screwdriver.
- Safety control box malfunction: Press the reset button (14).
Contact your service agent
The burner operates, but the radiators are cold:
- Vent the radiators and fill up with fresh water.
- Make sure the heating pump operates correctly.
- If you need frequently to refill the installation with fresh water,
contact your service agent.
- Check the position of the test switch.
