Introduction
The TouchSecure Desktop Reader is a complete paradigm shift from the historical design
of card readers, offering innovative customer solutions to meet the demands of a
changing world. The reader leverages employee’s traditional building access cards for
other applications, including office shared services, equipment sign-out and cafeteria, to
name a few. The TouchSecure Desktop Reader delivers the employee card ID in a
keyboard emulation format that most applications recognize.
The TouchSecure Desktop Reader will read a wide selection of proximity card formats,
MIFARE, ISO144443A/B and ISO15693 CSN cards.

Installation
1. Remove the reader from the box.
2. Determine the mounting location of the reader.
3. Using Velcro or equivalent material affix reader to desired surface.
4. Connect USB cable to target PC or network device.
5. Power up the reader, letting the reader setup and prepare for
operation.
6. Verify that the LED is illuminated.
7. Present a card that is programmed to operate in the system and if
operating correctly, the LED change colors depending on programming.
