INTRODUCTION
Dear client, each IFI product is the result of a history of innovation which began in
1962, in which technological knowledge, design, food science and industrial culture
were melded together. Traits which translate into project values such as improve-
ment to the preservation and the display of foodstuffs, functionality and hygiene, all
with particular attention to the wellbeing of people and the environment.
This manual, which is an integral part of the equipment, has been produced by the
manufacturer with the aim of describing the mode of use and maintenance, and the
safety warnings which allow for a safe and correct use.

not provided in this manual.
- The equipment is NOT designed for installation in hazardous explosive atmos-
pheres and must be installed by qualified technical staff, specialised in electrical
installations and cooling systems.
- Do not keep or store explosive substances such as pressure vessels containing
flammable propellant.
- The equipment must only be used by properly qualified and trained staff. It SHALL
NOT be used by people with mental, physical and sensory impairments, or with no
experience or knowledge; this type of people may use the equipment only with the

DISPLAY CASE DESCRIPTION
The JOLLY display cabinet has been designed and built for the display and preser-
vation of foodstuffs.
Main components
A–Supporting structure: made up of a moulded polyethylene body. Allows for sup-
porting all the components making up the display cabinet.
B–Display cabinet: Made of glass, aluminium and steel. Allows for the display of
foodstuffs and creates an area of controlled cold, necessary for the preservation of
the foodstuffs themselves.
C–Sliding panels: they allow the operator to access the refrigeration area of the
display case.
They also allow for a more accurate temperature control, reduced consumption and
protection against any flying insect entering the refrigeration area.
The sliding panels can be removed to make it easier for the operator reaching the
products on display.
D–Display pans: Positioned within the display cabinet for containing the products.
E–Temperature indicator: it shows the temperature in the refrigeration area of the
display case.
F–Refrigeration unit: Made up of a compressor with air condenser which allows for
the generation of cold within the display cabinet itself.
G–Refrigeration system evaporator: it is connected to the refrigeration unit to
generate cool inside the display case. The evaporator is of high-performance type.

SAFETY INFORMATION
3
During the design and manufacturing process, the manufacturer has focused spe-
cifically on aspects that may cause risks to the health and safety of people interact-
ing with the equipment. Caution is anyway extremely important. Safety is also
entrusted to all the operators interacting with the equipment.
IMPORTANT!
Carefully read the instructions contained in the manual provided and
those affixed on the display case, in particular the safety instructions.

HANDLING AND INSTALLATION
4
FOREWORD
Handle and install the equipment observing the information provided by the manu-
facturer, directly reported on the packaging, the display case and the Owner’s man-
ual. As appropriate, anyone authorised to perform such operations shall define a
“safety plan” to ensure the safety of the people who are directly involved.
PACKING AND UNPACKING
Packing is made to keep the unit size as compact as possible and also varies based
on the means of transport.
In order to make transport easier, shipping may be performed with some compo-
nents disassembled and properly protected and packaged.
Packaging normally consists of two wooden slats secured to the base frame and a
polyethylene or paperboard box as the case may be, protecting the display case
from dust and moisture.
Unpacking operations must be made only when the staff authorised by the manu-
facturer starts installing the display case.
Depending on the installation requirements, the staff authorised by the manufac-
turer unpacks the parcels as appropriate as possible and checks the integrity of the
components.
Keep all packaging items (cases, pallets, etc.) for future use and appropriately dis-
pose of protection materials (nylon, polystyrene, etc.) in compliance with the rele-
vant applicable law.

TRANSPORT
Transportation, also depend-
ing on the place of destina-
tion, may be carried out by
using different means.
For an improved stability of
the display case in the vari-
ous transport phases, two
wooden slats (A) are secured
to the base frame.
During transport, the display
case must be adequately
secured to the means of
transport as to prevent any
sudden movement.

LIFTING AND HANDLING
The display case is lifted from
the means of transport by
means of a lift truck.
DANGER!
The lift forks must be
at least 1m long. For a
proper and safe lifting,
place the forks in line
with the centre of bal-
ance of the display
case.
Once the equipment is on the
ground, visually check the
integrity of the display case or
the packaging, and check for
any damages resulting from the transportation.
IMPORTANT!
Any damage must be immediately reported to the carrier. Under no cir-
cumstances the damaged display case may be returned to the manufac-
turer without notice or previous written authorisation.
