OPERATION GUIDELINES
Before using for the first time
•Priortoinitialuse,cleanthekettlebygoing
through several boiling cycles, using clean
water with each cycle and filling the kettle
toitsuppermarking.Whenthewater
reaches boiling point, the kettle switches
off automatically.
•Placetheheatingbase(5)onarmand
level surface.
•Pourthedesiredamountofcleanwater
intothekettle(3).Donottouchanypart
of the kettle except the handle (7).
Whentheapplianceisinuse,ensurethat
the lid (1) is properly closed.
•Theamountofwatercanbemeasuredby
the level mark (4) on the outside of the
kettle.Alwayspayattentiontotheminimum
and maximum levels and ensure that the lid
(1) is properly and firmly closed.
•Positionthekettleinsuchawayonthe
base(5)thattheundersideofthekettlets
precisely into the contact on the base.
•Inserttheplugintoawallsocket.
•Puttheon /offswitch(8)toits‘ON’position
to start the heating process. The indicator
light in the water level window will turn on.
•Assoonasthewaterreachesboilingpoint,
theon/offswitch(8)returnsautomatically
to the OFF position and the indicator lamp
will go out. The kettle can also be
switchedoffmanuallybyputtingtheon/off
switch to the OFF position.
•Thehotwatermaynowbepouredsafely
through the spout.
•Thiskettleisequippedwithasafetycut-out
to protect the appliance from damage in
case of inappropriate use.
•Shouldtheappliancebeaccidentally
operated without water or if all the water
has evaporated the safety cut out will
automatically switch off the heating
element.

•Insuchacaseremovetheplugfromthe
wall socket immediately and refill the
kettle only after an adequate cooling down
period,about15to20seconds.
DECALCIFYING
•Shouldtheapplianceswitchoffbefore
reaching boiling point this is a sign that
decalcifying is necessary.
•Anyregulardescalingagentmaybeused,
provided the relevant instructions are
observed.
•Donotllthekettletotheuppermarkto
avoid spillage if the descaling agent
causes the water to foam.
•Tocleanthekettlethoroughlyofany
decalcification residues let it go through
several boiling cycles using clean water
with each cycle. Rinse the kettle with
clean water afterwards.
CLEANING AND CARE
•Beforecleaningtheappliance,ensureit
is disconnected from the power supply
and has cooled down completely.
•Donotuseabrasivesorharshcleaning
solutions.
•Donotimmersethebaseorthekettle
in any liquid. To clean the exterior, use
a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
•Itisadvisabletoremovelimescale
deposits from the kettle at regular
intervals.
