SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read this user manual carefully before using your appliance to
ensure proper use and maintenance.
1. This appliance is intended for domestic use; to be used in a
household or similar applications such as
a. Staffkitchenareasinshops,ofcesandotherworking
environments;
b. By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
c. Bed and breakfast type environments.
2. Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug, after it
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.
3. Allelectricalrepairsmustbecarriedoutbyaqualied
electrician. Inadequate repairs may result in a major source of
danger for the user and invalidate the warranty.
4. Make sure the voltage in your home corresponds to the one
shown on the rating label of the appliance.
5. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
6. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

immerse cord, electric plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.
15. While water is boiling, or just after the water has boiled, avoid
contact with steam from the spout.
16. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully
withouttippingthekettletoofast.Becarefulwhenrellingthe
kettle when it is hot.
17. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
18. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot water.
19. The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the
manufacturer,mayresultinre,electricshockorpersonalinjury.
20. Unplug the appliance from the wall socket when not in use and
before cleaning.Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
21. Do not use the appliance or the attached base for anything
other than its intended use, which is to boil water.
22. The kettle can only be used with the stand provided.
23. Ifthekettleisoverlled,boilingwatermayspillout.
24. Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water
is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the
boiling cycle.
25. Do not use the appliance near facilities containing water, such as
bath tubs, showers or wash basins.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before rst use
Beforeusingthekettleforthersttime,llwithwatertotheMAXlevel,boilandpouraway.Repeatthis
several times using fresh water each time you boil the kettle.
Using your kettle
• Placethecordlessbaseonalevelrmsurface.
• Whereeverpossiblellthekettlethroughthespoutasthiswillhelptoreducetheamountof
limescalethatbuildsuponthelter.
• Theamountofwatercanbemeasuredbythelevelmarkontheoutsideofthekettle.Neverll
thekettleabovetheMAXlevelandensureitisalwaysabovetheMINlevel.
• Onlyllthekettlewiththeamountofwateryouneedasthiswillsaveelectricity.
• Alwaysmakesurethatthelidisproperlyrmlyclosed.
• Place the kettle on the cordless base making sure it is positioned correctly.
• Plug in and switch on at the wall socket.
• Put the ON / OFF switch to its ‘ON’ position and the switch will illuminate.
• When the water boils the kettle will switch off automatically.The kettle can be switched off manually
by putting the switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
• To re-boil the kettle, switch on again. If the appliance has just switched off you may have to wait a few
minutes before switching back on.
• When the kettle has boiled the water may be poured out through the spout.
• Thiskettleisttedwithasafetycut-outtoprotectthekettlefromdamageincaseofinappropriate
use. Should the kettle be accidently operated without water or if all of the water has evaporated, the
safety cut-out will automatically switch off the heating element. In such a case, remove the plug from
thewallsocketimmediatelyandrellthekettle.Allowtheelementtocoolforafewminutesand
then start using the kettle as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Descaling
IMPORTANT: Asthiskettleisttedwithanimmersedelementitmustberegularlydescaled.The
frequency of descaling depends on usage and the hardness of the water in your area.
Excessive amounts of scale can cause the kettle to switch off before reaching boiling point and cause
damage to the element which is not covered by the guarantee.
• Any regular descaling agent may be used, provided the relevant instructions are observed.
• Donotllthekettletotheuppermarktoavoidspillageifthedescalingagentcausesthewater
to foam.
• Tocleanthekettlethoroughlyofanydecalcicationresidues,letitgothroughseveralboilingcycles
using clean water with each cycle. Rinse the kettle with clean water afterwards.
Cleaning
• Before cleaning the kettle, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled
down completely.
• Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
• Do not immerse the base or the kettle in any liquid.To clean the exterior, use a slightly damp lint
free cloth.
• It is advisable to remove limescale deposits at regular intervals.
MAINS PLUG FUSE REPLACEMENT
Fuse Replacement
The appliance must be earthed. Remove the central fuse cap
and take out the fuse. Replace with a new fuse of the same Amp.

electrical appliances must not be disposed of in normal unsorted
municipal waste.
Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimise
the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact
on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your
obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be separately collected.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information
concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.

This product is guaranteed for a period of 12 months as standard from the date of purchase
against mechanical and electrical defects.You can extend your warranty for a further 12 months by
registering your product.
Upon registration we will cover your product for a period of 24 months from the original purchase
date against any mechanical or electrical defects.
To qualify for the guarantee, the product must be used for domestic household use only and in
accordance with the instructions in the user manual.Any misuse of the product will result in the
warranty being void.
The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, tampering or incorrect
adjustment or installation.
The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is resold, has had its serial number removed
(or has an invalid serial number), or if an unauthorised person has carried out any repairs or
alterations.
The warranty does not cover accessories or consumable parts that require replacement under
normaluse.Thisincludesshelving,dials,lters,beltsandtraysetc.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown please refer to the Troubleshooting guide in your user manual
and check all plugs, fuses and the electricity supply.

will be calculated from the purchase date of the original.
In the event that the product is inspected and no fault is found or the product is not within the
guarantee period you will be charged for the repair and any carriage costs.
