The Crystal Slant Cabinet is available in two configurations.
The standard configuration has a 27” LCD touch screen base game monitor with a 27” non-touch screen top
monitor.
The premium configuration has the same 27” LCD touch screen base game monitor with a 32” landscape non-touch
screen top monitor.
The Crystal Slant will not be offered with an MLD monitor.
Crystal Slant uses AVP 4.0 Brain Box Hardware.
Crystal Slant uses unique slant top Crystal Core machine hardware and electrical components.
Crystal Slant uses the same DPP Player Panel components as the Crystal Core with the exception of the button. The
Crystal Slant uses a backlit Halo Bash Button instead of the Super Button.
The both monitors feature brackets that allow for easy replacement.
The top monitor has a light rail integrated into the top of the monitor mask.
The side trim light rails are mounted to the machine case.
Crystal Slant uses only Non-MLD Ascent based game themes and selected legacy AVP themes that have been
updated to Ascent.
Crystal Slant supports the standard CC video topper, static topper or a candle.

All lock locations are designed primarily for “Short Barrel 90 Degree” locks. The primary lower door lock needs to
be a “Left Turn” lock. The other locks are “Right Turn” locks
All Lock Cam required for Crystal Slant are contained within “KIT-C-SLANT, LOCK CAMS” P/N 91485204.
Lock collars are contained in “KIT,HARDWARE,C-SLANT” P/N 91443100.
Temporary shipping locks along with the cams needed for final lock installation are installed at the factory for all
primary lock locations.
Lower Door Lock Options:
oThe lower door was designed for the use of right-hand-turn short barrel locks.
oLong barrel locks are acceptable for using the appropriate lock collars.

Upper Door Access and Lock Installation:
When first accessing the upper door (DPP Panel Door) there are two ways to open the door.
First method:
oRemove the lower door
oPull the red knob in the upper left corner of the opening
oPull the lever on the bottom of the upper door
oThe upper door should swing open upwards
Second method:
oInsert a screwdriver into the lock hole
oLever the screwdriver handle to the right to move the blade to the left.
oThis releases the lever on the bottom of the upper door
oPull the lever on the bottom of the upper door
oThe upper door should swing upwards

Upper Door Lock Installation
oremove the plastic cover
oInstall the lock. The locking mech is set up to accept both long and short barrel locks. No lock collars
needed for long barrel locks.
oRemove the lock cam from its shipping location shown above and install it as shown below.
oReinstall the plastic cover over the lock assembly and secure. This plastic cover must be secured
because it also the mount for a door open detect switch.

AVP 4.0 Brain Box Version 3 Card Cage Lock Installation
The AVP 4.0 Brain Box has a redesigned Logic Door Lock Mechanism that has been introduced with the Crystal Dual
machine platform.
The Version 3 locking mechanism allows locks to be installed, assembled and serviced without opening the brain box.
The Version 3 locking mechanism is repairable.
The Version 3 is backwards compatible to allow replacement of the older Logic Door Mechanisms as needed.
Attachment to the brain box is the same as the older versions with one M4, 7MM, KEPS nut.
The Version 3 locking mechanism now can allow the use of wire or plastic through hole seal types.
Lock Requirements:
Short or Long barrel ¼ left hand turn.
Use of appropriate lock collars is mandatory.
Short Barrel locks require a 5/16” lock collar
Long Barrel locks require a total lock collar length of 13/16”. (Use 1/2” + 5/16”)

Card Cage Lock Installation Instructions:
The AVP 4 Brain Box will arrive with a short barrel shipping lock installed with a 5/16” lock collar.
Turn the lock to the unlocked position and move the lever to the lower unlocked position. Note that the shaft is
extended below the edge of the Brain Box. The shaft must remain in this position to remove and install the cover
plate.

This view from the top shows the shaft in the lower position with the top of the shaft aligned to allow removal of the
cover plate.
Place a common screwdriver between the Brain Box and the cover plate and gently pry the cover plate upwards.

It might be necessary to do the same at the top of the assembly to get the cover completely loose. The fit of a new
cover plate to the mechanism plate is very tight.
The cover plate is now released from the mechanism plate.

Turn the shipping lock to the locked position. Note the alignment of the lock cam to the slot in the cover plate. This
same fit and alignment must be the same when reassembling with the actual lock.

Remove the shipping lock.
Install the new lock. In this case, a long barrel MegaJackpots lock is being used. Note that the 5/16” lock collar from
the shipping lock has been used along with a ½” collar from the hardware kit.

The use of the two lock collars seen in the previous photo has resulted with the amount of exposed thread seen here.
There is almost no exposed thread with the nut installed and tightened.

Install the cam and secure. Test the lock operation. The completed installation must have the same lock cam
alignment as seen above.
Install the cover plate onto the mechanism plate. The left side of the cover plate will hook under the edge of the base
mechanism plate. Note the alignment of the cutout in the cover plate to the flat areas on the shaft.

Press down to snap the cover plate onto the base plate.
The Card Cage Lock installation is complete. Test the operation of the lock assembly.
