That’s why our high quality RENLIG washing machines
are designed to co-ordinate together and t perfectly
with our furniture range. The washing machines are
white, except one of our free-standing machines that
is also available in black. Our fully integrated washing
machine ts perfectly in FAKTUM base cabinet and the
free-standing machines are developed for our bath-
room series GODMORGON, LILLÅNGEN and UDDEN,
as well for ALGOT storage solutions. What’s more, all
ourwashing machines offer Energy class A to A++ and
Washing performance A, so you will save both energy
and water.

IKEA washing machines have simple to use functions that suit different needs and make
washing easier. We have front-loaded free-standing machines, of which one is a combined
washer dryer to save space and time, and one fully integrated machine. The fully integrat-
ed machine is designed to fit in FAKTUM base cabinet and can be fitted with a door in the
same design as the rest of your kitchen or laundry room. A new washing machine means
you reduce energy consumption while enjoying new functions. IKEA washing machines
have been developed together with Electrolux and each IKEA washing machine comes with
a free 5-year guarantee to give you peace of mind.
Choose the right washing machine for you
Start by looking at your available space. Our washing
machines are all front-loading — leaving you more
worktop space. Choose the size of your washing ma-
chine according to the amount of washing you normally
do, the size of your household and your washing
needs.
For example, if you tend to do a big wash load at the
end of the week, opt for a larger model. If you like to
wash your clothing separately and often, try a smaller
model. Needless to say, our washing machine pro-
grammes ensure your fabrics are handled in the right
way, whether they’re baby clothes or business shirts.

Choose a washing machine that suits your space. We have front-loaded, free-
standing machines, of which one is a combined washer dryer, and one fully
integrated machine.

Choose between models with different washing programmes and features, such
as energy class, washing performance and spin drying performance.

How many are in your household? If you are many, choose a machine with high
capacity. If you live alone or are just two, choose a machine with smaller capacity.
Save energy – and help the environment
Start by choosing a longer programme. You can
still get good results when washing medium soiled
laundry at lower temperatures. The economy 40
programme is a longer-than-average programme
that gives great results at only 40°C. You can also
wash mixed textiles together, allowing you to ll
the drum better. Always try to wash with a full
drum. Our machines adjust the amount of water
used according to the load, but the consumption of
energy, water and time per kilogram is lowest when
the drum is full.
At the same time, make sure you don’t overload
your washing machine, otherwise your clothes
might not be washed thoroughly. Spin-dry your
clothes at high speed. The amount of moisture
in your washing affects drying time and energy
consumption considerably. Spin-drying at a higher
speed will leave your laundry as dry as possible
without damaging it (unless you have ultra-
sensitive garments). Our washing machines have
a hand wash function which is more gentle and eco-
nomical than traditional methods. Air your clothes
often, and consider the environment when washing
clothes that do not strictly need washing.

What do the symbols mean?
The below symbols including explanations in alphabetical order, are used to show all the available features in our
range of washing machines and combined washer dryer. See the following pages to nd out which features apply
to each machine.
• A 5-year guarantee (except for LAGAN). Read about
the terms in the guarantee brochure.
• Delay start function allows you to wash or dry when
it suits you or when the electricity rate is lower.
• All washing machines have a super quick function
that will reduce washing time by 30 to 50%
depending of the selected programme.
• Anti-foam system; if excessive washing detergent
has been added the machine automatically adjusts
by increasing rinse cycles.
• Unbalanced control system; redistributes the load
inside the drum if it is not distributed evenly and
adjusts the spin speed for best performance.
• Overow protection; detects potential problems
that may result in overowing and automatically
cuts off the supply of water to the machine.
General information for all washing machines
Automatic drying; sensor feels when laundry is dry according to
either chosen programme; Cupboard dry or Iron dry.
Automatic spin reduction; by selecting this option the spin
speed of the selected programme is reduced by half, but not less
than 400 rpm.
Baby garments; baby programme specially designed for baby
garments or for people with sensitive skin.
Cold wash; cold wash suitable for cottons, synthetics, delicates
and handwash garments.
Cotton; for white and coloured cotton garments.
Economy; for washing normally soiled laundry in 40ºC or 60ºC
while saving both energy and water.
Delay start; this button allows you to delay the start of the pro-
gramme, allowing you to wash when it suits you or when lower rate
electricity is available.
Delicates; special programme for delicate fabrics.
Door locked; the indicator light illuminates when the programme
starts and indicates if the door can be opened.
Drain; for emptying out the water of the last rinse.
Easy iron; the laundry is gently washed and spun to avoid
creasing.
Energy class A; on a scale from A+++ (most efcient) to G (less
efcient).
Energy class A+; on a scale from A+++ (most efcient) to G (less
efcient).
Energy class A++; on a scale from A+++ (most efcient) to G
(less efcient).

Express 45´; 45 minute programme. 60ºC, rinse and gentle spin-
ning cycle for lightly soiled laundry.
Extra rinse; if it is necessary to rinse the laundry using an extra
quantity of water, select this option.
Handwash; special programme for delicate fabrics that have a
"handwash" care symbol.
Jeans; this programme is suitable for washing darker clothes like
jeans and jackets. It uses an extra quantity of water for rinsing and
a gentler spinning cycle, to avoid light stains from the detergent.
No spin; all spinning phases are suppressed and replaced by a
drain. This option is recommended for extremely delicate fabrics.
Prewash; the washing machine performs a prewash cycle before
the main wash phase. This option is recommended for heavily
soiled laundry.
Quick wash/Super quick; the washing time will be reduced by
30% to 50% depending of the selected programme.

Rapid 14; 14 minute programme. 30ºC, rinse and spinning cycle
to refresh lightly soiled shirts and blouses.
Rinse; with this programme it is possible to rinse and spin cotton
garments that have been washed by hand.
Rinse hold; suspends the laundry in the nal rinse water until a
spin programme is selected manually at a convenient time, reduc-
ing wrinkling.
Soak; for heavily soiled laundry. The washing machine performs a
soak at 30ºC.
Softener/Rinse; single rinse and spin to starch or soften hand
washed synthetic and delicate garments.
Spin; separate spin for handwashed garments and after pro-
grammes with the Rinse Hold option selected.
Spin reduction;by selecting this option you can change the spin
speed of the selected programme.
Start/Pause; this button allows you to start or interrupt the
selected washing programme.
Synthetics; for synthetic or mixed fabrics: underwear, coloured
garments, non-shrink shirts and blouses.
Timed drying; you can manually choose drying time.
Wool; special programme for wool garments.
5shirts; programme preset at 30ºC. For 5-6 lightly soiled shirts,
in synthetics or mixed fabrics. A gentle spinning cycle creates less
creases and makes ironing easier.

Place your integrated washing machine between two FAKTUM base cabinets under a shared
worktop. FIXA diffusion barrier shall be mounted to the underside of the worktop for added
protection against moisture.
