is an excellent solution for high-end workstations
and mid-range server networks. The full line of
Imation SLR tape cartridges provides up to 140GB
in capacity, so you can easily handle your growing
capacity requirements.
More than media, a complete solution
To give you a complete data protection solution,
Imation has teamed up with Tandberg Data.
Together, our media and their drives give you a
data backup, file transfer and archiving solution
that features true automation technology to save
you time, and ensure consistent backups. That
includes unattended backup, like the Tandberg
Data SLR Autoloader. By accommodating one SLR
tape drive and an eight-cartridge magazine, it
allows you to back up your system for up to two
months without operator intervention.
And when backups are performed, they’re completed
faster than ever. By eliminating the time-consuming
verify pass, Imation SLR media’s read-while-write
capability cuts backup time in half. Together with the
SLR drive’s built-in data compression capabilities,
SLR technology has data transfer rates of up to
12MB/second. That jumps to 40MB/second or more
when used with an automated tape library system—
saving you resources and time.

New Imation SLR75 and SLR140 tape cartridges
As Imation’s newest addition to the SLR migration path,
the SLR75 cartridge has been designed specifically for
entry-level servers. It provides up to 75GB compressed
(38GB uncompressed) capacity and a 4MB/second
transfer rate. The SLR140 cartridge provides 140GB
compressed capacity with 6MB/second transfer rate.
