1 UNITINSTALLATION
1.1 INSTALLATIONWARNINGS
Operatorswhoinstallandservicetheappliancemustwearthepersonalprotectiveequipment
requiredbyapplicable law.
isappliancehas been designedforwallmountedinstallationonly, forcentral heating(and productionofdomestichotwater
fordomesticuseandsimilar purposes ifpaired witha storagetank unit).
eplaceofinstallationofthe appliance andrelativeImmergasaccessoriesmust havesuitablefeatures(technical andstructur-
al),such asto allowfor(alwaysin safe, ecientand comfortableconditions):
- installation(according tothe provisionsoftechnicallegislationandtechnical regulations);
- maintenanceoperations(including scheduled, periodic,routine andspecialmaintenance);
- removal (to outdoors in the place for loading and transporting the appliances and components) as well as the eventual re-
placementofthosewith appliancesand/orequivalentcomponents.
e wall surface must be smooth, without any protrusions or recesses enabling access to the rear part. ey are not designed to

Byvaryingthe typeof installationtheclassicationoftheappliance andprecisely:
- Type B23 or B53 applianceifinstalled using therelevantterminals forair intakedirectlyfromtheroom in whichtheappliance
has beeninstalled.
- Type C appliance if installed using concentric pipes or other types of pipes envisioned for the sealed chamber appliance for
intakeof air andexpulsionofuegas.

Onlyprofessionallyenabled companiesareauthorised toinstall Immergasgasappliances.
Installation must be carried out according to regulation standards, current legislation and in compliance with local technical
regulations and the required technical procedures.

Itis forbiddento installappliances removedfromother systems.
e manufacturer declines all liability in the event of damage caused by appliances removed from other systems or for any
non-conformities with such equipment.
Check the environmental operating conditions of all parts relevant to installation, referring to the values shown in the techni-
cal data table in this booklet.
If installing a kit or servicing the appliance, always empty the system’s domestic hot water circuit rst so as not to compromise
theappliance’selectrical safety (Parag. 2.9).
Alwaysdisconnect theappliance fromvoltage and, dependingonthetype ofoperation,decrease thepressureand/orbring itto
zero inthe gas andDHWcircuits.
Installation oftheappliancewhenpoweredbyLPGorpropaneairmustcomplywiththerules
regardinggases with agreaterdensity thanair (remember,as an example,thatitis prohibited
to install plants powered with the above-mentioned gas in rooms where the oor is at a lower
quotathanthecountrylevel).
Beforeinstalling theappliance, ensurethatitisdelivered inperfectcondition;if indoubt,contactthesupplier immediately.
Packing materials (staples, nails, plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) constitute a hazard and must be kept out of the reach of
children.
If the appliance is installed inside or between cabinets, ensure sucient space for routine servicing; for minimum installation
distances, seeFig. 3.
Itisjustasimportantthattheintakegridsandexhaustterminalsarenotobstructed.
Check that no ue gas recirculation is found in the air sample points. Allow the appliance to
reach the maximum heat output; theCO2value measured in the air must be less than 10% of
thatmeasuredontheuegas.

Installationofgasappliances,ueexhaustpipesandcombustionairintakepipesisforbidden
in places with a re risk (for example: garages, closed parking stalls), and in potentially dan-
gerous places.
Donotinstallontheverticalprojectionofhobs(forappliancesupto35kW).
Do not install in places/rooms that constitute public areas of apartment buildings, internal
stairwaysorotherescaperoutes(e.g.oorlandings,entrancehalls,etc.).
ese appliances, if not adequately isolated, are not suitable for installation on walls of com-
bustible material.
Installationisalsoforbiddeninplaces/roomsthatconstitutepublicareasofapartmentbuild-
ings such as cellars, entrance halls, attics, los, etc., unless otherwise provided for by local
regulationsinforce.

Installing the wall recessedframe kit must guarantee theboiler stable,ecientsupport.
e recessed frame kit ensures appropriate support only if installed correctly (according to the rules of good practice), following the in-
structionsonitsinstructionsleaet.
Forsafety reasonsagainstany leaks itisnecessaryto plaster theboiler housing inthebrick wall.
erecessedframeforthe boilerisnot asupportingstructureandmust notreplace the wall removed.Itisnecessarytopositionthe boiler
insidethewall.
eplugs(standardsupply) thatcomewiththeappliance areonlytobe used toxthe latterto thewall; theyonly ensureadequatesupport
if inserted correctly (according to technical standards) in walls made of solid or semi-hollow brick or block. In the case of walls made
from hollow brick or block, partitions with limited static properties, or in any case walls other than those indicated, a static test must be
carriedoutto ensureadequate mount. Appliancesmust be installed in such a wayastoavoidknocks or tampering.
Wallmountingoftheappliancemustguaranteestableandecientsupportforthegenerator.

Riskofdamageduetocorrosioncausedbyunsuitablecombustionairandenvironment.
Spray, solvents, chlorine-based detergents, paints, glue, ammonium compounds, powders and similar cause product and ue
ductcorrosion.
Check that combustionairpowersupplyisfreefromchlorine,sulphur, powders, etc.
Make surethat nochemical substances arestoredintheplace of installation.
If you want to install the product in beauty salons, paint workshops, carpenter’s shop, cleaning companies or similar, choose a
separateinstallationareathatensures combustionairsupplythatisfree fromchemical substances.
Make sure thecombustionair is notfedthrough chimneysthat werepreviouslyusedwith boilersor othercentral heating appli-
ances poweredbyliquid orsolid fuels. Infact,these maycause an accumulationofsootin thechimney

Fillingthecondensatedraintrap
Whentheapplianceisswitchedonforthersttime,combustionproductscomeoutofthecon-
densatedrain.Aerafewminutesofoperation,checkthatcombustionuegasesarenolonger
coming out of the condensate drain; this means that the drain trap has lled to a correct con-
densateheightthattheuegasescannotpassthrough.

SpecialprovisionsforappliancesinstalledinB23 or B53 conguration.
Open chamber appliances type B23 and B53 must not be installed in rooms in which commer-
cial, cra or industrial activities are carried out where products are used that are capable of
developingvapoursorvolatilesubstances(e.g.acidvapours,glues,paints,solvents,fuels,etc.),
as well as dust (e.g. dust from wood processing, coal dust, cement dust, etc.) that could be
harmfultotheappliance'scomponentsandimpairitsoperation.
In conguration B23 and B53, unless local regulations are in force, the appliances must not be
installed in bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets or studios; they must neither be installed in rooms
containingsolidfuelheatgeneratorsnorinroomscommunicatingwithsaidrooms.
For appliances for domestic use (up to 35 kW) in B23 and B53 conguration, the installation
rooms must be permanently ventilated, in compliance with the local regulations in force (at
least 6 cm2for each kW of heat input installed, except in the case of the presence of electrome-
chanical extractor fansorotherdevicesthatcandepressurisetheinstallationroom).
Install theappliances inB23 and B53 congurationin non-residential premises andwhich arepermanently ventilated.
Failuretocomplywiththeaboveimpliespersonalresponsibilityandinvalidatesthewarranty.

Appliance antifreezeprotectionis thusonlyensuredif:
- theapplianceiscorrectlyconnected togasandelectricity powersupplycircuits;
- theapplianceispoweredconstantly;
- theappliancehas theantifreeze functionactive(P.8 =0);
- theapplianceisnotin anomalyconditions (Par.2.5);
- theapplianceessentialcomponentsare notfaulty.
Topreventtheriskoffreezingfollowtheinstructionsbelow:
- Protectthe centralheatingcircuit fromfreezing byinsertinga good-quality antifreezeliquid intothis circuit, whichisspecially suited
forcentral heating systems and whichismanufacturerguaranteed notto cause damageto the heatexchangeror othercomponentsof
the appliance. e antifreeze liquid must not be harmful to one's health. e instructions of the manufacturer of this liquid must be
strictlyfollowedregarding thenecessarypercentage withrespectto the minimumtemperatureat whichthe system must be kept.
- e materials used for the central heating circuit of Immergas appliances resist propylene glycol based antifreeze liquids (if the mix-
tures areprepared perfectly).
- An aqueoussolutionmustbemadewith potentialpollutionclass ofwater2 (EN 1717:2002or local standards inforce).
Follow the supplier's instructions for the life cycle duration and possible disposal of the anti-
freeze liquid.

e antifreeze systems described in this chapter are only to protect the appliance; the presence of these functions and devices
does notexcludethepossibility ofpartsof thesystemor domestichotwatercircuitoutside theappliance fromfreezing.

Minimum roomtemperature-5°C
Insulatethevisiblepipes andttings with 10 mmthick insulating material(cooling inlet pipe, heating outletpipeandcondensate drain-
ing pipe).
e appliance comes as per standard with an antifreeze function that activates the pump and the burner when the system water temper-
aturein theappliancefalls below4°C.
In these conditions, previously listed, theapplianceisprotected against freezing up toan ambienttemperature of-5°C.
If theapplianceisinstalled ina place where thetemperaturedrops below-5°C, the appliance mayfreeze.

Protect the domestic hot water circuit (when paired with a storage tank unit) against freezing by using an accessory that is supplied on
request (antifreeze kit) comprising an electric resistance, the relevant wiring and a control thermostat (carefully read and follow the in-
stallationinstructionscontainedin theaccessory kitpack).
In the previously listed conditions ad with the addition of the antifreeze kit, the appliance is protected against freezing up to a
temperature of-15°C.

1.7 GAS CONNECTION
Our appliances are built to operatewith methane gas (G20), LPG,propane air (50% air -50% propane) and mixtures of methane andhy-
drogen up to 20% by volume (20%H2NG), referring to the gas distributed in the network. Power supply pipes must be the same as or
largerthan theappliance tting.
Before connecting the gas line, carefully clean inside all the fuel feed system pipes to remove any residue that could impair ap-
plianceeciency.
Also make surethe gascorresponds to thatforwhichthe appliance is prepared(see appliance data nameplate).
If dierent, theboilermust be convertedforoperation withthe othertype ofgas(see converting appliance forothergastypes).
