WARNING : To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury:
• Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
• Unplug fan before cleaning or servicing.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock and injury to persons, do not use
this product in a window.
This appliance has a polarized plug, meaning that one blade on the plug is
wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or
short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet and follow
the fuse replacement steps later in this guide. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-cir-
cuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized
service facility for examination and/or repair.
• Completely assemble the product for
use before plugging it into an outlet.
• Make sure the power cord does not
touch any hot surfaces.
• Extension cords are not recommended
for use with this appliance.
• Do not plug or unplug the product
into/from the electrical outlet with wet
hands.
• Discontinue any operation of the appli-
ance if the cord or plug are damaged.
• To disconnect the fan from an electri-
cal outlet, ensure the product is turned
o and then pull directly on the plug;
do not pull on the Power Cord.
• Do not put any stress on the power
cord where it connects to the product,
as this is likely to cause a malfunction
or safety hazard.
• Always ensure the product is un-
plugged from the electrical outlet and
that all parts have stopped before
assembling, disassembling, relocating,
or cleaning it.
• Do not route the cord underneath any
carpeting. Do not cover the cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar cover-
ings. Do not route the cord under
furniture or other appliances. Arrange
the cord so it is away from areas where
it could be tripped over.
• For batteries used with the remote:
◊ Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
◊ Do not mix old and new batteries.
◊ Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
