Add-On Chair Kits

Installation
Hardware bag includes:
(6) - #10 x 1” Round Phillips Head Wood Screws.
Note:
The base unit that starts a tandem run can be a guest, bariatric, two-seat tandem, or three-seat tandem.
Multiple add-on units can be attached to a base unit.
1. Turn the base unit upside down to gain access to the assembly screws under the seat. (Figure A)
2. Un-attach the left (as seated) end frame from the base unit by removing the six screws that fasten the unitized metal frame to
the wood end frame at the seat rail. Place the end frame and screws to the side, these will be re-installed at the end of the run.

• #2 Phillips Screwdriver or Powered Drill/Driver with #2 Phillips Bit.

3. Insert the metal seat frame from the existing base unit into the mounting holes in the new center frame of the Add-On
Chair Kit. From the hardware bag, use the six #10 x 1" long wood screws to secure the metal frame to the new wood cen-
ter frame. The screws must be tight, but do not over tighten. (Figure C)

4. Locate the base unit end frame and screws that were removed earlier. Insert the metal seat frame from the Add-On Chair
Kit into the mounting holes in the end frame Reinsert the six #10 wood screws. The screws must be tight, but do not over
tighten. (Figure D)

5. Return unit to its upright position.
