1. General Information
This user’s guide covers the installation procedures of the Inverto IDL2000S Digital Satellite Set Top Box
and the necessary steps to easily operate its main features.

1.2 Safety Pre autions
This Set Top Box has been manufactured in accordance with international safety
Standards. or your own safety, you should read the notes on safety precautions
carefully, and take note of them, before operating your new receiver.
For your own safety, please be sure to follow these safety pre autions:
Mains power supply: Connect the unit only to power supplies that have the following outputs: 90-260 V
AC, 50-60 Hz
Conne t the unit to the LNB/multi-swit h only when the unit is swit hed off: The digital receiver must
be disconnected from the mains power supply before it is connected to the LNB (Low Noise Block Converter)
or multi-switch (in a multi-party installation). Otherwise, the electronics of the LNB may be damaged.
Conne tion to the TV set and other peripherals: The receiver must be disconnected from the mains
power supply before using a SCART cable to establish connections to the TV set and other peripherals.
Optimum lo ation: Set up your digital receiver indoors, in an area where it is protected from lightning,
rain water and direct sunshine.
Do not open the unit: Never open the casing, as you are in danger of electrocution!
Prote t from humidity: Ensure that no humidity, dampness or liquid can get into the unit. You should
therefore also not position any liquids near the receiver. Do not use any liquid detergents, as these may
damage the unit, and may subject you to high-voltage shock.
Prevent intrusion of foreign matter: The receiver is fitted with small ventilation slots, small objects could
fall into these slots, so please do not put any objects on top of the receiver.

Ensure adequate ventilation: Never cover the ventilation slots on the unit casing. When in operation,
the digital receiver should be placed on a straight and solid base. It should not be placed in direct sunshine
or too close to a heater or radiator. Ensure there is sufficient free space around the unit for air circulation.
Earthling the LNB and satellite antenna: If lightning strikes the antenna, this would be dangerous.
Therefore the LNB on the satellite antenna as well as the antenna itself must be connected to the
house/building earth system.
Prote tion from lightning: In case of thunderstorms, to prevent damage switch off the receiver, disconnect
from the main power supply, and disconnect the satellite antenna cable from the unit.
Use only original parts and a essories: Use only original parts, or parts recommended by a specialist
retailer. Non-observance of this warning cancels the unit guarantee. Only qualified specialist personnel
should carry out any repairs.
Dis onne ting power during extended absen e: If the appliance is to be unattended for an extended
period of time, e.g. when you go on holidays, you should disconnect it completely from the mains power
supply.
Retain original pa kaging material: Please retain the original packaging, should it be necessary at some
stage to return the unit.

Unpack the INVERTO IDL2000S and verify that the following items are included in the packaging.
• 1 x Remote Control Unit (RCU)
• 1 x User’s Guide
• 2 x AAA batteries
• 1 x Audio/Video Cable
• 1 x Inverto IDL2000S Digital Satellite Set Top Box
1.4 General Operation of the Inverto IDL2000S
Throughout this manual you will notice that the everyday operation of your Inverto IDL2000S is based on
a series of user friendly on screen display and menus. These menus will help you get the most from your
Inverto IDL2000S, guiding you through installation, channel organizing, viewing and many other functions.
All functions can be carried out using the buttons on the RCU, and some of the functions can also be
carried out using the buttons on the front panel.
Please be aware that new software updates may change the functionality of the Inverto IDL2000S
Should you experience any difficulties with the operation of your Inverto IDL2000S, please consult the
relevant section of this manual, including the Problem trouble-shooting, or alternatively, contact your
dealer.

This section explains the installation of Inverto IDL2000S. Refer to the manuals supplied with the equipment
for the installation of outdoor equipment such as the dish antenna. When adding new equipment, be sure to
refer to the related parts of the manual for the installation.

Once you have installed, connected and turned on Inverto IDL2000S, the main menu will be
displayed.
This menu consists of 6 sub menus as shown below.

4. Antenna Setup
4.1 Antenna Set up – DiSEqC 1.2
1. Antenna : You can select a maximum of 16 antennas
with the combination switches.
2. Type: Select your antenna type to DiSEqC1.2
3. Satellite : Select the desired satellite
4. LNB Type : Select your LNB type. If you have universal
LNB, select Univ.
5. LNB req. : Enter the proper LNB frequency of your LNB
using the numeric keys on the RCU or use the KEY PAD
displayed by pressing the OK key.
If you have a dual LNB, enter the proper value in the
value box.
6. Switches (22KHz Tone, DiSEqC) : You can select the
switches with which you want to configure the antenna.
7. C/Ku band control : You can select C/Ku band control
by selectiing the switch type.
4.2 Antenna Set up – Fixed
1. Antenna : You can select a maximum of 16 antennas
with the combination switches.
2. Type : Select your antenna type to be fixed
3. Satellite : Select satellite.
4. LNB Type : Select your LNB type. If you have universal
LNB, select Univ.
5. LNB req. : Enter the proper LNB frequency of to your
LNB using numeric key on the RCU.
If you have a dual LNB, enter the proper value in the
value box.
6. Switches (22KHz Tone, DiSEqC) : You can select the
switches with which you want to configure the antenna.
4.1.1 East West Limit
Selecting Limit Setup button, the Limit Setup menu will pop
up. Press the E key on the RCU continuously to set the
coordinates eastern. Press the OK key.
The message “Would you like to set East limit of DiSEqC
motor?” will be displayed for your confirmation.
Place the OK key to confirm the East limit.
To set West limit, follow the same steps as East limit.
4.1.2 Reset DiSEqC limit
Place the cursor on Reset DiSEqC Limit button and press the OK key. The message “Would you like to
reset limit for DiSEqC positional?” will be displayed for your confirmation.
Press the OK key to confirm.
Select EXIT to finish antenna setup. The message “Are you sure to change the configuration of Antenna
setup?” will be displayed. Press OK wait for the data to be saved.
7. C/Ku band control : You can select C/Ku band control by selecting the switch type. Select EXIT to finish
antenna setup. The message “Are you sure to change the configuration of Antenna setup?” will be
displayed. Select the OK button on the screen and then wait for the data to be saved.

5. Channel Sear h
5.1 Channel Sear h– DiSEqC 1.2
1. Antenna : Select the antenna number.
2. Satellite : Select desired satellite using Keys, Pressing
the OK key will also display a list of satellites. You can
view the information of the selected satellite on the
right side.
Edit Mode: If you wish to edit certain preprogrammed data
such as Transponder, requency, Symbol Rate, Polarization
and 22 KHz, press the Edit mode key (Red color key) on
the RCU.
3. Position : After selecting a satellite, please select the position
button and then keep pressing either E or W keys on the
RCU until the selected satellite is locked. If the satellite is
locked correctly, the color of the signal label bar will change
to yellow.
When you press the OK key on the RCU, the message “
Would you like to set the value of current position?” will be
displayed.
4. Transponder : Select desired transponder using the keys..
5. requency & Symbol Rate : Edit the requency and Symbol
Rate.
6. Polarization : Select Hor or Ver.
7. 22KHz : Select ON or O 8.
Search 1 SAT: Search channels for a single satellite, which
has been selected from the Satellite column.
Search TP: Search channels in a single TP, which has
been selected from the TP column.
Search Network: Search channels for the network related
to the TP.
Search all SAT: Search all channels at once on all satellites.
8. Set PID: If you want to set PID (Packet Identifier) manually,
select TP in the “Channel Search Page” and press the
MENU key on the RCU to display the command box.
Then select SET PID command and press OK. The set
PID menu will be displayed. Enter the correct value and
select OK.
9. Sat name edit: If you want to change the satellite name,
select the satellite and press Sat Name Edit key (Yellow
color key) on the RCU to display the command box. The
keypad dialog will appear. Using the arrowkeys on the
RCU, you can edit the satellite name. Delete TP : If you
wish to delete a Transponder, please select the Transponder
you wish to delete and then press the MENU key on the
RCU to display the command box. Select Delete TP
command and confirm.
Inverto IDL2000S will automatically search for TV and Radio channels. During this procedure you can
view a list of the previously searched channels in the Searched list Box on the screen.
Once channel search is completed, the cursor will be placed on COMPLETE. Press the OK button to
confirm.

10. Re-Sync : When all the locations of searched satellites are
shifted for any reason, you can realign them once you
adjusted one satellite location.
11. Go to 0” for DiSEqC 1.2 : When you install the motor of
DiSEqC 1.2 antenna, you can select this function to move
the center of the antenna to 0°∆.
12. Search Option : Inverto IDL2000S allows you to search
channels with convenient options as shown below.
• TA Only
• Not searched TP only
• Sort by Scramble
If you select Sort by Scramble, Inverto IDL2000S sorts the scrambled channels automatically.
If you select not searched TP only, Inverto IDL2000S searches for channels in the TP, which were not
being searched.
5.2 Channel Sear h – Fixed
1. Antenna : Select antenna
2. Satellite : Select desired satellite using arrows keys. Pressing
the OK key will also display a list of satellites.
You can view the information of the selected satellite on the
right side.
Edit Mode: If you wish to edit preprogrammed data such as
Transponder, requency, Symbol Rate, Polarization and 22
KHz, please press the EDIT mode key (Red color key) on the
RCU to display the command box. You can then move into
those columns to change the value.

6. Other Options
This menu consists of 5 sub-menus as shown below.
• System Setting
• Parental Lock
• Time Adjust
• Time Reservation
• actory Default
6.1 System Setting
The System Setting menu allows you to set the system according
to your preferences.
1. OSD Language : select the desired language that will appear
in all menues.
2. Audio Language: Select the default audio language under
the condition that this language is supported by the
broadcaster.
3. LNB power: If your Inverto IDL2000S is connected to the
LNB, select YES. If your Inverto IDL2000S is connected to
another receiver through Antenna Loop Through connection,
you should check which receiver is connected directly to the
LNB. In case the second receiver is directly connected to
the LNB, then select O .
4. Video output: If your SCART supports RGB control, select
RGB, Otherwire select CVBS.
5. Display Info Bar: You can adjust the displaying time interval
of the info bar from 2 sec to 12 sec. Default value is 6 sec.
6. Start On Channel: If you press the OK key, the channel list
will be displayed. You can select one channel from the list.
The selected channel starts once you turn on Inverto
IDL2000S.
7. UH Standard: Select UH type.
8. UH Channel: Select your desired UH channel for satellite
mode.
Note: In countries where UH is not used, options in List 6 and
7 will be deleted.

6.2 Parental Lo k
This function allows you to lock the channel with a password
in order to prevent children from accessing the channel.
You can also protect your installed data and information using
the Install Lock.
* Changing the Password 1.
1. Enter current password.
2. Select ON (Parental Lock)
3. Enter new password.
4. Confirm new password by entering new password again.
Note: Default password is 0000.
* Using the Parental Lock feature
1. To activate parentel lock function, go to the TV
channel Manager Page.
2. Press Lock key (Blue color key) on the RCU.
3. Select the channel you wish to Lock.
4. Press OK then symbol is displayed.
* Using the Install Lock feature
1. Enter the current password.
2. Select ON (Install Lock)
3. Enter new password
4. Confirm the new password by entering it again
5. Press Exit
6. Select any menu and press OK on the RCU .
7. The Enter Password box will be displayed.
8. Unless you enter the correct password, you can not
run any menu.
Note: Default password is 0000.
Caution: Make sure not to forget your password.
6.3 Adjusting Time
This feature allows you to set the time and date manually.
Simply set the correct time and date by using the Keys

6.4 Time Reservation
The feature allows you to “book” programs in advance, so
the Inverto IDL2000S will switch automatically to the desired
channel according to your definitions.
Using the “Turn on time” and/or “Turn Off time” options will
activate the “Timer” option.
Simply set the time, date and channel required by using
the Keys
6.5 Fa tory Default
To restore the Inverto IDL2000S factory default settings,
select actory Default and press the OK key.
A warning message will be displayed. To confirm, select OK.
Warning: Once selecting factory default, you will lose all of
data and information, which was previously installed.

7. General Viewing Fun tion
The following describes the basic functions of your Inverto
IDL2000S while watching TV or listening to radio.
While watching TV, press the IN O button on the RCU to view
channel information. The info will be shown on the bottom of
the screen.
To select a channel, use the CH key on the front panel or PR+,
PR- keys on the RCU. You may also use the numeric keys of
the RCU, by simply keying the desired channel number.
Inverto IDL2000S also provides a more convenient channel
change function.
While watching, press the OK key. A channel list will be
displayed on the right side of the screen. If you press the EXIT
key, the channel list will disappear.
To select a channel, use the Up/Down keys. Press OK to
watch the selected channel.
In order to scroll faster (by pages), press the keys.
7.4 Channel Information
When changing channels, a program information window will
appear for a few seconds.
While watching, you can receive channel information at anytime
by pressing the IN O key.
Note: Channel information will be displayed for 6 seconds by
default and will disappear. You can set the display time from
2 to 12 seconds.
7.1 Previous Channel Re all
Press the PR key to switch to the previous channel you watched.
7.2 TV & Radio Mode
While viewing a TV channel, press the TV/RADIO key in order to toggle between TV and Radio modes.
7.3 TV & VCR Mode
The TV/AV key enables you to change modes from satellite to TV or VCR.
Press once to switch to TV mode.
Press twice to switch to VCR mode.
Press three times to switch back to satellite mode.

7.5 Volume & Audio Control
1. Volume Control
To change volume, use thekeys on the RCU or VOL< > on
the front panel.
2. Mute
To mute the sound, press the button on the RCU. To release
the mute function, press this key once again.
3. Audio Control
Press the key repeatedly to select one of three possible Audio
options (Left, Right and Stereo)
The current audio setting will be displayed in the channel
information
4. Language Selection
Press the AUDIO key on the RCU repeatedly to select the
desired audio-language. This feature is valid only if the
broadcaster transmits several audio signals.
7.6 Position
In case you need to adjust the antenna more accurately, press
the POSITION key on the RCU, A position bar will be then
displayed. Press the E or W keys on the RCU to adjust the
position accordingly.
7.7 Sat
If you search for channels of more than one satellite, and wish
to create a channel list for each satellite, press the SAT key.
A satellite list will be then displayed.
Select the relevant satellite and press OK. A channel list of
the specific satellite will be then displayed.
7.8 Favourite List
To create a list of favorite channels, press the AV key (see
chapter 8.2).
You can switch between favorite lists by pressing the AV
key again.
