2.Insert your DB-525into the slot,
Do not forceit in any further than
needed.
Step 2 Remove the cover case from the computer.
Please check that everything
connected to thecomputer has
been removed and that the
computer itself has been
switched off from the main
power supply.
Please consult the computer manual
when remove thecover case fromthe
computer.
Caution: Please be careful when
removing the covercase as alledges
are sharp.
3.Please use the screws
provided to lock the DB-525
into place.

Connect the FireWire cable.
(For )IEEE-1394 host adapterwith 6pin connector.
Connect the USB 2.0 interface cable.
Connect the USB 2.0 or 1.1 interface cable.
Connect the USB interface cable.
(For USB )2.0 host adapterwith A-type connector
(For built-in internalUSB 2.0 or1.1 connector on mainboard.)
For built-in internal USB2.0 or 1.1connector on mainboard:
refer to Step5-1.
For USB 2.0 host adapterwith A-type connector:

Caution: The USB portmay be damaged if inserting USB flat
cable on reverse.( Warranty does not cover such damage)

connect the USB & FireWire
cables toDB-525 before insert
it into theslot.
Locate the FireWire6pin-plug cable in the package.
Locate A-to-Atype USB cable in the package.
Locate A-to-5pin type USB cable in the package.
1.Remove the 5.25-inch panel.
Further details on how to
remove the panel can be found
in your computer.
Installation Guide
1. Distinguish the pin assignment of your internal USB connector type.
2. Locate the pin1 of the internal USB connector.
Check the mainboard User's Manual to distinguish the pin assignment of your internal
USB connector.
If the pin assianment of your internal USB is not in the supported list, consult the dealer
to obtain support.
You need to locate the pin1 of the internal USB connector before connecting the 1x5
