Product introduction
IRENIS HDE-264 HD video Encoder (HDMI input) is our professional HD audio & video
encoding device with powerful functionality, which supports H.264 encoding, dual-Streaming
data. It is equipped with 1 channels of HDMI input supporting MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High
Profile code format & main Profile code format. Its high integration and cost-effective design
make this device widely used in variety of digital distribution systems such as CATV digital
head-end, satellite and terrestrial digital TV etc, Besides, it can be integrated into single 3U
Chassis for 16 pcs of HD encoder units, Powred by built-in dual power supplies to be system
more stable. Furthermore, it is compatible with VLC decode very well.

Step 1: Reset & initialization

Input the power supply to turn on encoder and hold a pin to press RST on the encoder for
10 seconds,it will be restarted and initialized. The default Route IP of dash board is
192.1.1.168 after initiallization.
Step 2: Change the administrator’s computer IP (in case of WIN 7)
Set the administrator’s computer IP as : 192.168.1.* to avoid IP conflicting with dashboard IP
192.1.1.168. (mark “*” numbers range will be 0-167&169-254. )

Step 3: Login Dash board in IE
Open up IE, ENTER 192.168.1.168 in URL address,
Default user Name: admin

3. HDMI status
Note:
3.1 Access address: it can be decoded VCL player by this copy address.
3.2 Video parameter: video input parameter
3.3 Audio parameter: audio input parameter
3.4 Hardware status:
when the interrupt number is growing up , it indiates video input work;
when the number is “0”, it means video input do not work. In this case, please check
input video connections.

4. Changing default dash board IP
Note: Default IP is 192.168.1.168. if IP setting is forgoten after changing. You can reset it
to default IP follow step 1 above.

5. Main stream setting for HDMI encoding
5.1 : video and audio setting
Note: the parameters can be adjusted according to practical applications.

5.2 : HTTP Enable
Step 1: Enter “/HDMI” and select drop menu “Enable”;
Step 2: Enter a port number;
Step 3: Click “Apply”.
Note:
1) When HTTP protocol is enable, “/hdmi” can be removed in network URL of VLC player optionally. For
example, if the network URL is “http://domain.com:88/hdmi”, it will do work while you enter URL
“http://domain.com:88” in streaming video player;
2) Other protocol settings should be disable or enable while HTTP protocol is enable since you can
enable three protocols(HTTP,RTSP,Multicast) simultaneously .

6. Second stream setting:
Note: These second stream settings above can be the same as main stream, you can also
set different resolution video.
FAQ
Q1: Why do I need this second stream setting?
A: For instance, you want to broadcast one programe to two different clients, one is for
computer clients and another is for moblie phone clients. You can set high resolution in main
stream setting for computer clients and set lower resolution in second stream for mobile
phone clients to improve the video performance and save bandwidth.
Q2: Does encoder transfer different streams automatically based on different clients ,
such as high resolution to computer and lower resolution tomobile phone ?
A: Not yet, it depends on the media server setting. By the main stream setting and second
stream setting, you can use only one encoder unit to push dual streaming to different
media server node simultaneoursly instead of two encoders from same video source.

7.6.4 Type in : rtmp://ip address /rtmp/hdmi ,choose live, then can see the image or
type in:rtmp://192.168.1.100:1935/live/hdmi choose:LIVE click:Play stream
