Recycling. Take-back of batteries according to battery regulation (BattV):
According to battery regulation (BattV) we are obliged to inform you about the
regulations and obligations for disposal and taking back of used batteries and
accumulators. End consumers are obliged to return used batteries and
accumulators according to §7 BattV. Batteries and accumulators containing
harmful substances are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin, under which
the chemical symbol of the heavy metal they contain appears (Cd for cadmium,
Hg for mercury and Pb for lead). Batteries and accumulators must not be
disposed of with household waste. They can be disposed of free of charge at
any collection and return point provided for this purpose. Batteries and
accumulators received from us can of course be returned or handed over to us

Switching on the system
To turn on the system, press the Power button on backside.
The system will start and show the home screen.
The LED lights up blue when the device is switched on
To switch off the system after use, use the button again.
● Caution
The LED illumination starts directly by switching on the system. Do not look
directly into the light of the distal end, this can cause permanent damage to
your retina.
Setting of white balance
Perform white balance before using the system.
To perform the white balance, hold a white, non-reflecting object, such as a
white sheet of paper, about 20mm to 40mm in front of the lens. Than push white
balance button at the device. The image is frozen for a few seconds. After that
the white balance is done.
White balance is used to adjust the camera to the color temperature of
the light source.

Checking the deflection unit and control.
First, lay the probe out straight. To check the mobility of the deflection unit, first
move the control lever U/D from one maximum position to the other so that the
deflection unit moves in a vertical plane. Then set the control lever to the neutral
position again.
Move the control lever R/L (only X4U) analogously so that the deflection unit
moves in a horizontal plane. Then return the control lever to the neutral position.
● Caution
If problems occur during this check, discontinue use and contact our
technical service.
Inspection before and after use
Before and also after use, the components of our system must be checked for
damage or soiling. The following part lists what has to be checked and if there is
a fault or contamination, how to remedy it.

4. System operation
Rotating the display unit
X2U X4U
Control the deflection of the endoscope
The deflection unit can be moved in two planes (see figure) using the control
levers.
The figure shows the operating levers in the "neutral" starting position. In this
position, the angular deflection unit is straight.

Page | 18
Passing bends
Expansion and bending of the object to be examined must be large enough to
allow the movement of the bending unit and the probe head. Prior to inspection,
the general feasibility shall be checked visually or by means of a design
drawing.
The procedure described below must be carried out analog to the described
procedure for each bending. If resistance or other problems occur, the probe
must be carefully withdrawn.
Figure A
Under observation via the display
the probe is careful inserted until the beginning
of the bend.
Figure B
With simultaneous observation via
the display move the angular deflection unit
through the bend of the cavity.by means of the
control levers
Figure C
The insertion process is to be continued under
observation on the display
The angle of the deflection unit
must be adjusted to the curvature of the object
bit by bit during the further course of
insertion process.

B
C

Page | 19
Figure D
After passing the bend
the angular deflection unit is returned to the
neutral
position using the operating levers.
Retracting the endoscope
When retracting the endoscope, the deflection unit must first be straightened,
i.e. the control levers must be positioned in the neutral position.
By observing the display and moving the operating levers accordingly, an even
distance between the probe head and the walls of the room must be maintained
during the return process.
● Caution
Both control levers of the deflection unit must be brought into the neutral
position before retracting the probe!
● Notice
If there is resistance during retraction, it is advisable to rotate the probe
slightly in both directions around its longitudinal axis and move it carefully
back and forth until the probe is released.
