To our customer
Congratulations on your selection of an ITMCo product. We believe you have exercised ex-
cellent judgment in the purchase of your ITMCo farm tractor. We are most appreciative of your
patronage.
The present manual (Operator Instruction Book) has been compiled by Iran Tractor Manufac-
turing Company (ITMCo) and has been intended for tractor owners and drivers operating ITM 800
(2WD/4WD) tractors. It supplies in detail the most essential information about your farm tractor.
This manual must always be kept with the tractor and it must be made available for the operator
of the tractor at all times. Before using the tractor please READ this manual carefully and LEARNS
how to use it correctly and safely as your safety is of primary concern to the manufacturer. If you
decide to sell your machine, make sure to pass this manual to the next owner.
Your dealer will be happy to acquaint you with the operation and maintenance instructions
given in this manual, and to instruct you in the proper and varied applications of this machine and
assist you in resolving your problems in the cases that you strike a problem not covered by this
manual. Call on him at any time when you have a question, or need equipment for the use of your
tractor.
All information, illustrations and specifications in this manual are based on the latest informa-
tion available at the time of publication. The right is reserved to make changes at any time without
notice without incurring any obligation to make such changes to products manufactured previ-
ously. ITMCo accept no responsibility of changes which may be evident in the actual specifications
of its products and descriptions contained in this publication.
The tractor at your possession is designed to function properly solely under normal conditions
in agricultural operations («intended purpose»). However, its use in any other way is considered
as contrary to the intended purpose and of detrimental effects to the tractor. In other words, if
the tractor is used under abnormal conditions (e.g. deep water or paddy fields) ITMCo shall refuse
to accept any liability for any damage or injury resulting from misuse and these risks must be
avoided by the user.

beads are not seated when the maximum
recommended pressure is reached, deflate,
reposition the tyre, relubricate the bead,
and reinflate. Observe the following safety
points:
1. Always use a safety cage if available.
2. Do not stand over the tyre.
3. Use a clip-on chuck and extension hose
when inflating a tyre.
Ballast
Steering and braking performance can
be considerably affected by attaching im-
plements. To maintain the required ground
contact pressure, ensure that the trac-
tor is ballasted correctly. Advice can be
sought from ITMCO Dealer.
Fluid ballasting
When preparing a calcium chloride
solution for fluid ballasting the tractor
tyres, NEVER pour fluid onto the calcium
chloride. A chlorine gas can be generated
which is poisonous and explosive. This
can be avoided by slowly adding calcium
chloride flakes to water and stirring until
they are dissolved Wear suitable protec-
tive clothing, gloves, eye/face protection.

If the doors are obstructed, leave the
cab through the rear window or hatch.
When making in-work adjustments,
bring the tractor to a secure halt, apply the
parking brake, disengage the PTO, select
neutral gearshift positions, lower the im-
plement to the ground, stop the engine and
remove the key BEFORE leaving the seat.
When adjustments are being made or
attachments are being fitted to the tractor
or implement (whether at the front or rear
of the tractor), the operator must ensure
that all persons are well clear before op-
tem by shorting across the terminals of
the starter motor to start the engine. This
may cause the tractor to move suddenly. If
the starter switch does not work, consult
ITMCO Dealer.
Ensure that all bystanders, particu-
larly children, are in a safe position before
starting the engine.
Safety — during operation
Keep a firm grip on the steering wheel
at all times, with the thumbs clear of the
spokes when driving the tractor.
When a cab or ROPS is fitted, if the
tractor overturns, hold the steering wheel
firmly and do not attempt to leave the seat
until the tractor has come to rest.
erating the hydraulics.
Use caution on hillsides and rough
ground
Keep speed to a minimum.
Avoid sudden uphill turns on steep
slopes.
Always keeps the tractor in gear to
provide engine braking when going down-
hill.
Avoid sudden or heavy brake applica-
tions when operating in wet, muddy or icy
ground conditions or on loose surfaces
such as sand or gravel.
Warning
DO NOT pull anything using the top link
connection, or from any point above the
centre line of the rear axle. Always use an
approved Massey-Ferguson drawbar, and
only use a drawbar pin that locks in place.
Warning
DO NOT get on or off a moving tractor.

sion on P.T.O. shaft.
Warning
DO NOT use PTO adapters, reducers
or extensions as they extend the PTO
coupler and universal joint out beyond the
protection offered by the shield.
Sudden or heavy braking during turns
increases the tendency to oversteer. This
effect is more pronounced with trailed
equipment and can lead to jack-knifing
when towing a trailer.
Four wheel drive provides greatly in-
creased traction over two wheel drive.
Extra caution is needed on steep slopes
if four wheel drive is fitted since traction
will be maintained on steeper slopes, in-
creasing the possibility of overturning.
Engage low gear when descending
steep hills. If four wheel drive is fitted,
select it for four wheel braking effect
when the tractor is in gear.
If a Multi-power gearbox is fitted, the
high range must be selected to provide en-
gine braking.
Power Take Off (PTO)
When stopping any PTO drive on a ma-
chine, idle the engine to reduce the PTO
speeds before disengaging.
Warning
DO NOT remove the tractor PTO
shield or implement shield. Observe all
safety decals on the PTO driveline.
