WARNING – TOOL USE HAZARDS
Use this tool for manufacturer’s intended purpose only. Use
other than that which is described in this manual can result in
injury or property damage.
WARNING – ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARDS
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water
entering a power tool can increase the risk of electric shock.
Plug into a (GFCI) ground fault interrupted circuit outlet only.
Use a 20 Amp 120 Volt extension cord no more than 100 feet in
length. Maintain proper care of power cords. Do not use the
cord to carry the tool or pull the plug from an outlet. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords can increase the
risk of electrical shock. Do not use this tool near live circuits.
Shut off and lock out power when working near existing
circuits. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE WARNINGS CAN RESULT
IN SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH.
WARNING – PROJECTILE HAZARD
Draw can break. Use EXTREME CAUTION when using Gear
Punch.
During punching process avoid positions where you could be
injured if a draw stud breaks and becomes a projectile.
Disassemble when not in use.

DESCRIPTION
iTOOLco’s Gear Punch™ Set is the best tool for punching conduit-size holes into steel electrical panels
and boxes. No other tool can produce a hole as precisely as the iTOOLco Gear Punch™.
iTOOLco’s Gear Punch™ punches standard hole sizes ranging from ½” through 6” conduit sizes with 12
different punches and die to fit a variety of applications. Rated for use in mild steel or stainless steel,
the iTOOLco’s Gear Punch™ can also punch through aluminum and comes with an unprecedented six
year warranty and a lifetime replacement on draw studs.
iTOOLco’s Gear Punch™ (GP01) is powered by any make and model of corded or cordless drill – new or
old – with no special add-ons required. Punches and die are clearly marked with trade standard conduit
sizes and well as Center Point™ Knockout Layout Tool (CP02) marks for perfect alignment no matter
what direction the hole is cut from.
iTOOlco’s Gear Punch™ is compatible with punch and die offerings and comes with a Center Point™
Knockout Layout Tool accessory designs to help users quickly layout and punch knockouts. Using the
Center Point™ tool makes measuring for slug busting 70 times faster than a using a tape measure
because there is no math required.

SET UP AND OPERATION
1. Insert the (ND038) 3/8” Nut Driver Bit into drill Fig 1.
2. Set clutch on cordless drill to the strongest clutch setting
Fig 2.
3. Extend Inner Shaft above top of handle as shown by placing drill
with 3/8” nut driver installed onto input shaft and running in
reverse or counter clockwise Fig 3.
4. Insert Draw stud Fig 4. (DS034) into gear punch insuring that
Draw stud is fully threaded into Gear Punch. When using large
Draw stud Fig 5. (DS118) tighten until chamfer on Draw stud is
completely seated as shown in Fig 6.

5. Once pilot hole is drilled (1/2”,
7/8” or 1-1/8”) Place desired Die
(Cup) over Draw stud as shown
in Fig 7.
6. Insert Draw stud through pilot
hole and thread the punch
(Cutter) onto Draw stud Fig 8.
Make sure threads are exposed
as shown on Fig 9 to prevent
Gear Punch bottoming. Align
marks to insure proper
centering Fig 9.
7. Turn the drill to forward or to
clockwise rotation. Engage
trigger of drill and complete
desired knock out. For easy slug
removal run until the step on
the cutter Fig 10. and the top of
the cup meet Fig 11. Fig 12.
8. Place drill in reverse and run
until inner shaft is exposed and
repeat process for next operation.
HOW TO USE THE CENTERPOINT™ KNOCKOUT LAYOUT TOOL
1. (Optional) Mark the first conduit from the edge.
2. Determine strut size and mark the strut line.
3. Turn CenterPoint over & mark the conduit combination (folded lip up). Cross over the center
line to mark the next conduit.
4. Turn Center Point over. Position alignment cross over intersecting lines. Mark the center point
for the desired size.

MAINTENANCE & SERVICE
Perform quarterly for every 40 hours of usage.
To grease or replace the internal shaft:
1. Extend Inner Shaft (GP-101) above top of handle as shown, by
placing drill with 3/8” nut driver installed onto input shaft and
running in in reverse or counter clockwise. Key will become
exposed and internal shaft freed for removal by sliding out.

2. Clean the Inner shaft of old grease and any debris Fig 2.
3. Coat the Inner shaft with two types of lubricant Fig 2. First use
nickel based never seize. Next coat with NLGI Extreme
Pressure Grease.
4. Use NLGI Extreme Pressure Grease in a gun to grease the
gearbox (5 to 10 pumps depending on the gun).
5. Re-insert the Inner Shaft and align the key to the keyway. Turn
the drill to forward or to clockwise rotation. Engage trigger of
drill and draw the inner shaft down to 1/4” above top of Gear
Punch Fig 4. Fig4. Fig 2.
CAUTION: Do not chuck a drill directly to the input. The input shaft is
not covered under warranty if it is used without the provided 3/8” bit
adapters.
CAUTION: Do not bottom out the GEAR PUNCH. If 1” of the inner shaft
threads are showing out the bottom and the drill sounds like it is
straining, STOP and REVERSE DRILL. The Gear Punch is bottoming and damage will occur. Run in reverse
until the inner shaft is exposed above the punch top and re-install punch, then start over.

LIMITED WARRANTY: ITOOLCO GEAR PUNCH
iTOOLco warrants all new Gear Punch Kits and Parts covered by this agreement, when properly used, to
be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for which it is intended
for a period of one year from date of delivery by the dealer. Date of delivery shall be the date product is
placed in possession of the user. NORMAL WEAR FROM USE IS NOT PART OF THIS WARRANTY. This
limited warranty is extended to the original user only and is not transferrable to, nor enforceable by any
other person.
iTOOLco will replace free of charge any part(s) of the product found to be defective when such part(s) is
returned to iTOOLco at the address shown below, freight prepaid. If the part(s) is found to be defective,
iTOOLco will refund freight charges paid by you in retuning the defective part(s) and prepay
replacement part(s) freight charges. iTOOLco will not be responsible for more than replacement of any
defective part(s) and standard freight charges (parcel post or UPS ground rate) of any part(s) found to be
defective.
THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. ITOOLCO SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEUQNTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY OR ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE PRODUCT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROPERTY
DAMAGE, LOSS OF USE OF PRODUCT, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, INCONVENIENCE, COMMERCIAL
LOSS, LABOR COSTS, SERVICE TRIPS, AND MILEAGE.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may
not apply to you.
Dealer/Distributor Warranty Claim Procedure
1. All warranty claims must be pre-approved by iTOOLco Warranty Department PRIOR to starting
any warranty work. Warranty work performed without prior approval will not be considered.
2. All claims must be handled through dealer/distributor.
3. Written approval must be received from iTOOLco before return of merchandise. A Return
Authorization is to be returned with the merchandise which is sent back.
4. All parts must be returned to iTOOLco at the address shown below, freight prepaid.
5. The serial number of the product and the date of delivery must accompany the part(s) being
returned.
6. If the part(s) is found to have failed because of a defect in material or workmanship,
replacement will be made on a no-charge basis, and the part(s) returned, freight prepaid.
Standard freight charges (parcel post or UPS ground rate) incurred in returning the part(s) will
be refunded.
7. For reasons of expediency, replacement and/or repair part(s) may be shipped as soon as
possible and billed to the dealer/distributor. When part(s) is returned, if it is covered under
warrant, credit will be issued for the part(s) and freight charges.
8. All parts found to be defective shall be retained by and shall become the property of iTOOLco.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
