• Do not install this device if there is not at least 10 meters (30 feet)
or more of wire between the electrical outlet and the electrical
service panel.

Connect the fax and telephone answering device lines from the KSU through
a SurgeGate module. This will prevent any “backdoor” power problems or
rise in ground potential from reaching the KSU via lines from other
equipment in the building.

A.) SurgeGate CAT-6 or CAT6A (Models: CAT6-LAN, CAT6-75, CAT6-235,
CAT6A-LAN, CAT6A-75)

These models protect one 8-wire CAT6/CAT6A cable using 110 connectors.
B.) SurgeGate CAT6 and CAT6A Modules (Models: CAT6-LAN-RJ45,
SurgeGate CAT6/CAT6A
CAT6-75/POE-RJ45, CAT6-235-RJ45, CAT6A-75/POE-RJ45,
CAT6AS-75/POE-RJ45)
These models protect one 8-wire CAT6 or CAT6A cable using RJ45 connectors.
1. Simply plug the RJ45 jack from the line input cable into the “Line” side of
the protector.
2. Using a CAT6 or CAT6A (or better) patchcord, plug one end into the
“Equipment” side of the protector and the other side of the patchcord into the
equipment to be protected.
