WARRANTY
The Iwata Freestyle Air battery-powered airbrush compressor is warranted
against all manufacturing defects of material and manufacture or workmanship
for a period of ONE year from the date of purchase. (Please keep your sales
receipt.) Any part or material that is or becomes defective so as not to be
usable within this period will be repaired or replaced. This warranty does not
cover damage caused by negligence, a compressor or battery that has been
altered or abused in any way or a battery that has been left in an uncharged
state for more than 45 days.

The indicator light on the battery will show the following colors when charging:
Orange – Battery is charging
Flashing Green – Battery is fully charged within 1 hour
The indicator light on the battery will show the following colors while the
compressor is running:
Green – Battery has maximum charge
Orange – Battery has a good charge
Red – Battery needs to be recharged
REMOVE PROTECTIVE TAPE FROM ON/OFF ROLLING SWITCH AND BATTERY
TERMINAL. FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR 2 HOURS.
Dismount the battery from the compressor unit by turning it counter-clockwise
1/8 turn (A). Determine the appropriate international plug and connect it to the
power adapter. Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet (100–240v).
Then plug the power adapter cord into the top of the battery and charge for
2 hours (B).
BEFORE USING
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Remount the charged battery onto the bottom of the compressor unit by
aligning the tabs on the battery to the tabbed hole on the compressor unit.
Push together and turn the battery clockwise 1/8 turn (C). You can power the
compressor by using either the battery or by plugging the power adapter
directly into the compressor unit. (The battery will charge when attached to
the plugged in compressor unit only when the compressor unit is not running.
Normal charge time for a full battery is within 1 hour. Spare batteries are
available for longer running times.)
2. If using the compressor upright, place the bottom of the unit in the
anti-vibration base. The base can be used with the battery attached (D) or with
just the compressor unit (E). If lying at, place the side of the compressor unit
with the rubber feet onto the vibration dampening pad (F).
3. Mount the dual position airbrush holder onto the unit. Use the L-shaped
mounting tab when the compressor is in an upright position (G). Use the
straight mounting tab when the compressor is lying at (H).
4. Screw one end of the air hose onto the compressor unit and the other end
onto your airbrush and hand-tighten. Both ends of the air hose are the same.
(If using a brand of airbrush other than Iwata, you may need an air hose
adapter - not included.) The air hose provided is designed to work specically
with the Iwata Freestyle Air Battery-Powered Airbrush Compressor. Do not use
other air hoses.
Slowly turn the on/o rolling switch in any direction until the unit turns on.
The rst setting is HIGH with a green-lit Iwata (I). Slowly turn the rolling switch
again and the unit setting turns to MEDIUM indicated by a yellow-lit Iwata (J).
By rolling the switch a third time, the unit setting turns to LOW indicated by a
red-lit Iwata (K). The fourth time the switch is rolled, the compressor turns o.
Deciding which pressure setting to use will depend upon the combination
of application, viscosity of liquid being sprayed and model of airbrush.
Test all 3 speeds to determine which will work best for you. Intended for
thinner mediums.
• Compressor run-time with the battery is approximately 45 minutes at 10 psi
working pressure. Times will vary depending upon application, liquid
medium being used and model of airbrush.
• Always recharge battery after use.
• For best care of the battery, store the battery with the power adapter
plugged into an electrical outlet. The battery can be charging either on or o
the compressor.
• Do not store battery uncharged for any period of time. Fully charge the
battery at least once a month. Failure to do so may void the warranty.
• Do not dispose of the battery in household waste. Dispose of according
to local environmental regulations.
RECHARGEABLE NiMH (NICKEL-METAL
HYDRIDE) BATTERY, 1600MAH
1. The compressor turns o while running. The Iwata Freestyle Air is
designed to automatically turn o after 9 minutes of constant running. To
restart, slowly turn the rolling switch in any direction until the unit turns on.
2. The compressor will not turn on. Slowly roll the on/o rolling switch more
than once. If the rolling switch is turned too fast, the unit may not turn on. If
compressor still will not turn on, the battery may need to be charged. If using
the power adapter on the compressor unit, be sure the correct international
plug is rmly mounted into the power adapter and then rmly attached to a
working electrical outlet. Be sure the power adapter cord is rmly plugged into
the compressor unit.
3. The compressor is running but no air is owing through the airbrush.
Check the air hose attachment on the compressor and airbrush to make sure
there is no air leak. Check the air hose for cracks or damage. Remove the air
hose from the airbrush and see if there is air owing through the air hose. If
air is owing then your airbrush may be clogged.
4. The battery will not charge. Be sure the power adapter cord is rmly
plugged into the battery. Check that the correct international plug is rmly
mounted into the power adapter and then rmly attached to a working
electrical outlet. If battery was stored with a low or no charge for a long
period of time it may be damaged.
SET UP
1. 充電したバッテリーの突起をコンプレッサ下部の穴に差し込み時計回りに

を下にし防振マットの上に置いてください（F）。
3. エアーブラシホルダを取り付けてください。コンプレッサを立てて使う場合
はL字部分を差し込んでください（G)。横に倒して使う場合は真っ直ぐの差込
口を使ってください（H）。

トラブ ル シュー ティング
1. 運転中にコンプレッサが止まる。Iwataフリースタイルエアーは9分間の連
続運転後に自動で停止するように設計されております。リスタートするには、
起動するまでどちらかの方向にゆっくりスイッチを回してください。
2. コンプレッサが起動しない。どちらかの方向にスイッチをゆっくり一回以上
回してください。もし回すのが早いと起動しないこともあります。それでも起動
しない場合はバッテリーの充電が必要かもしれません。電源アダプタを使用
している場合は正しいプラグを使っているか、コンセントにしっかり接続して
いるか確認ください。コードがコンプレッサにきちんと差し込まれているか確
認ください。
3. コンプレッサは動いているがエアーブラシから空気が出てこない。 空気
漏れがないかホースのエアーブラシ側とコンプレッサ側の接続部分を確認く
ださい。ホースに亀裂や破損がないか確認ください。エアーブラシを外してホ
ースの先から空気が出ているか確認ください。ホースから空気が出ていれば
エアーブラシに問題があるかもしれません。
4. バッテリーが充電されない。電源アダプタがバッテリーにしっかり差し込ま
れているか確認ください。適切なプラグを使用しているか、コンセントにきち
んと差し込まれているか確認ください。バッテリーが充電切れ或いは充電が
少ない状態で長時間放置されていた場合は故障しているかもしれません。
4. エアホースの片方をコンプレッサに、もう片方をエアーブラシに手締めで
取りつけてください。エアホースの両端は同じサイズです（もしIwataエアー
ブラシ以外をご使用の場合は別のジョイントが必要な場合もあります）。付属
のホースはIwataフリースタイルバッテリー式コンプレッサ専用に設計され
ております。別のエアホースはご使用にならないでください。
On/Offスイッチをどちらかの方向にゆっくり回転します。最初はIwataロゴが
緑になる、圧力が「高」に設定されています（I）。さらに ゆっくり回転 すると
Iwataロゴが黄の、圧力が「中」になります（J）。さらに回転 するとIwataロゴが
赤 の 、圧 力 が「 低 」に な り ま す（ K）。さ ら に 回 転 さ せ るとコンプレッサの運転が
止まります。適切な圧力は用途、塗料の粘度、エアーブラシの型式などにより
決定します。すべての圧力設定を試して最適な圧力を決定してください。粘度
の低い液体向けです。
•バッテリーでのコンプレッサ運転時間は10psi（約0.07MPa）で45分が目安
ですが、アプリケーション、塗料、ご使用のエアーブラシの型式によって多少
変化します。
•使用後は毎回充電してください。
•バッテリーに最適な保管方法として、電源アダプターを電源につないだ状
態で保管してください。バッテリーはコンプレッサのオン・オフに関係なく
充電されます。
•いかなる時もバッテリーを充電していない状態で保管しないでください。最
低でも月1回はバッテリーを完全に充電してください。これらを怠った場合
は保証対象外となります。
•バッテリーは一般ごみと一緒に捨てないでください。各地域にて指定され
た方法で廃棄してください。

于材料部分，如是有缺陷的免得在此期间内不可使用将会被修理或者替换。
但保单不包括忽视造成的损坏，如空压机或电池被更换或者随意滥用，
或电池在未充电状态下放置超过45天。

发现并修理故障
1. 重新安装可充电电池到空压机装置底部，对准空压机装置的电池槽。同
时推进并顺时针旋转1/8圈。然后就可以同时使用充电电池或者也可以直
接把电源连接到空压机上。（电池连连接到空压机上只有在空压机不运转
的时候才充电。正常充电时间为1小时。备用电池可以提供更长运行时间。
2. 如果垂直使用空压机，需把装置放置在放置底座上。这个底座可以在连
接电池时使用或者不连电池只有空压机时使用。如果平躺使用，把有橡胶
支脚的一面放置在减震板上。
3. 装置上配有二重的喷笔支架位置。垂直位置时使用L形的卡扣。平躺位置
时使用笔直卡扣。
4. 用螺丝把空气管的一端固定在空压机装置上，另一端连接到你的喷笔上。
两端的空气管是一样的。（如果使用除了IWATA品牌的喷笔，你可能需要空
气管接头，这是不包括的）Iwata Freestyle Air 电池式供电喷笔空压机提供
专用空气管。不要使用其他空气管。
.先在任何方向慢慢转动on/o转动开关直到装置启动。第一设定是最高压
力，绿灯亮。再慢慢转动旋转开关，然后中压力，指示灯转为黄色。第三
次转动旋转开关为低压力，指示灯为红色。第四次转动，空压机关闭。
根据实际应用的结合，喷涂液体的粘度和喷笔的型号决定使用哪个压力设
定。测定这三种来决定哪种对你来说是最好的。为较稀薄介质做准备
• 空压机在10Ppsi(0.07MPa)工作压力下带电池使用时间约为45分钟。根据实
际情况，液体介质和喷笔型号使用时间会变化。
• 使用后要充电
• 最佳电池保管方式为将电源插入插头的状态下保管。电池将会在无论空压
机是否开关的状态下进行充电。
• 不要不充电的情况下存放电池很长时间。一个月至少满电一次。如果不这
么做会使保单无效。
· 不要在家庭住所丢弃电池。需根据当地环境法律丢弃。

1. 当空压机运行时突然关闭。Iwata设计为当持续运行9分钟后空气关闭。
重启，任意方向缓慢的转动转动开关直到开启。
2. 空压机无法开启。多次缓慢的转动on/off旋转开关。如果转动开关太快，
装置将不会启动。如果空压机还是不启动，电池可能需要更换了。如果在空
压机装置上使用了变压器，确保正确的国际插头稳固的插在变压器上，然后
稳固的连接在电源输出处。确保变压器电缆线稳固的插在空压机装置上。
3. 空压机运行中但没有空气通过喷笔。检查空气管在空压机和喷笔上的连接
来确保没有空气泄露。检查空气管是否断裂损坏。从喷笔上移除空气管，看
空气管中是否有空气。如果空气管中有空气，那就是你的喷笔可能堵塞了。
4. 电池不充电。确保变压器的电缆线牢固的接在电池上。检查是不是正确的
国际插头稳固的安装在变压器上和稳固的连接在工作中的电源输出处。如果
电池在低电源或没有带电的情况下被存放了很长一段时间，那它有可能已经
损坏。
