The JA-152J MS II Bi-directional two-button key fob
JA-152J MS II 1 / 2 MMJ23100
The JA-152J MS II is a component of the JABLOTRON 100 + system.
It is designed to remotely control a security system, various appliances
(using PG programmable outputs) or to trigger panic alarms and more.
The remote control can also be
enrolled to multipurpose relays such
as the AC-16x series for direct relay
control according to the pre-set
mode. The remote is equipped with
optical and acoustic indication. It
checks its battery status and
indicates when the battery is nearly
discharged. The remote
communicates via the Jablotron
wireless protocol and is powered by
a single power cell. The remote
takes up a single position in the
system.
Figure:1 – LED indication; A, B – buttons, see their functions according to
table 1.
Enrolling the remote control to a control panel
There must be a JA-11xR radio module installed in the control panel for
the ability to work with a control panel. It occupies one position in the system.
The remote can be enrolled to an arbitrary number of JABLOTRON 100
systems. One pair of buttons can control several sections at the same time
(c ommon control) and it can show the current status of the section or PG
output.
1. The control panel has to be in service mode.
2. Basic procedure:
a. Go to the F-Link software, select the required position in the
Devices tab and launch enrollment mode.
b. For transmission of an enrollment signal press and hold buttons
(A+B) simultaneously for at least 3 s (within this time the yellow
LED flashes rapidly).
c. After 3 s the enrollment signal is sent and confirmed by one long
yellow LED flash. Release both buttons and close enrollment
mode.
To set the key fob to comply with security
grade 2 use F-Link SW, Parameters tab and
the option “Perform EN50131-1”. (See the
JA-10xK control panel installation manual)
Notes:
−Enrolling the remote control to the system is possible by entering
the production code via F-Link software. The production code is on
the sticker with a bar code glued onto the battery holder inside the
remote. All digits in the production code are required
(example: 1400-00-0000-0001)
−If you want to remove the rem ote control from the system (for
instance when someone has lost it), erase it from the particular
address of the control panel.
Setting the properties
Perform settings using F-Link software – Devicestab. Click on the
JA-152J MS II´s Internal settings. Then a window appears
automatically where you c an set the following parameters:
Functions of the buttons: set a particular function for the pair of
buttons A-B (typically setting / unsetting, OFF / ON switching of some
appliance, etc.) or a function for each single button A, B (gate opening,
garage door opening, etc.) and also for a double press of the remote.

Table 1. Button function options overview
For each function selected for a rem ote control button it is necessary
to select the appropriate PG or sections to be c ontrolled or from which
reports should be reported (panic, etc.). For the common control
of multiple sections it is not recommended to operate a common
section, but to select the desired section in the rem ote control internal
settings.
Notes:
*) Once a button (with the “Copy PG” function enabled) is pressed
and held, the activation signal is transmitted once every second.
The function can be utilized to extend the duration of a PG output
(said PG must have the “copy PG” function enabled). The aximal
length of continuous transmission is 1 minute.
**) The „Copy PG“ reaction to a double press can be used for a 1 s
impulse only for the selected PG – double button pressing cannot
send 1s activation signal repeatedly unlike single buttons.
***) The reactions of the buttons which are not supported when the
system is configured comply with security grade 2.
****) If there is a pre-set function for the pair of buttons A+B (typically
Unset / Set section or PG OFF / ON), then that option also
triggers the option „Read status“. If this option is enabled the
remote reacts to a double press by showing the current status of
the section or PG.
For all functions related to setting the sections, the control panel
follows the option „Ways of setting“selected in the Parameters tab.
a. For „with confirmation“ types of setting (see table 1), for „set
with warning“ options and „set with confirmation“ pressing the
buttons in an 8 s period can be repeated and the command is
performed.
b. The option „Do not set with active zone“, doesn´t allow the
system to be set using a remote control (key fob) when any
zone with an Instant reaction is active. To set the system all
zones have to be in standby.
Take over a user´s access privileges:Taking over a user´s access
privileges for the sections and time limited access according to the
specific user, it respects individual access to the controlled section and
also limited acc ess to a section if pre-set. Factory settings: disabled.
Take over a user´s identity: The selected user will be visible as
a source in the event log. Factory settings: disabled.
Delayed panic:Valid for reactions such as Silent panic and Audible
panic. The delay can be set from 5 to 240 s. Cancelling the panic alarm
during a running delay can be performed by repeated pressing of the
specific button.
Operation with a multipurpose relay (MPR)
The remote control can also be enrolled to a multipurpose relay of the
AC-16x series, to control a relay according to the chosen m ode. Each
button should be enrolled to the MPR with a different mode. Even one
remote can be enrolled to multiple MPRs for example with a different
function. When you enroll a keyfob to the control panel and also to an
MPR within its RF range, don´t select the same buttons. To enroll
a keyfob to an MPR, follow the installation manual of the MPR.
The control panel is able to run a maximum
of 5 simultaneous timers (delayed panic
alarms).
The JA-152J MS II Bi-directional two-button key fob
JA-152J MS II 2 / 2 MMJ23100
Locking the keyfob
The remote control buttons can be locked (blocked) against
accidental pressing. Locking is disabled by default, pressing any button
triggers its function immediately.
If the buttons are locked, a control panel command is sent when
a button is pressed 2x quickly (2x per 1 s) it is also valid for the panic
function.
Caution: When a reaction for pressing buttons (A+B)
simultaneously is set (for example a panic alarm or garage
door control), it is necessary to mind that the action is
performed first.
The lock can be activated by simultaneously pressing and holding
the pair of buttons (A+B) until the yellow LED (1) starts flashing, usually
in 3 s. When the yellow LED (1) is flashing release button (B) and press
it again. Activation of the lock function is performed and confirmed by
double flashes of the yellow LED and a double beep. After this
confirmation release all buttons.
The lock is deactivated by repeating the procedure above.
Deactivation of locking is confirmed by one flash of the yellow LED and
one beep.
Acoustic indication
Acoustic indication can be completely disabled. The default is
enabled. When any button is pressed it is followed by a short acoustic
signal according to the table 2.
Caution: When a reaction for pressing buttons (A+B)
simultaneously is set (for example a panic alarm or garage
door control), it is necessary to mind that the action is
performed first.
The acoustic indication can be disabled by simultaneous pressing
and holding the pair of buttons (A+B) until the yellow LED (1) starts
flashing briefly for the second time, usually in 6 s. When the yellow
LED (1) flashes a second time release the button (B) and press it again.
The acoustic indication is then disabled and confirmed by flashes of the
yellow LED and a one beep. After this confirmation release all buttons.
The acoustic indication can be enabled by repeating the procedure
above. Activation is confirmed by a double flash of the yellow LED and
a double beep.

Table 2. Remote control indication
Battery replacement
Low battery indication is signalled on the remote control after any
button is pressed. The action assigned to the button is done and the
yellow LED flashes with 3 quick beeps. Low battery information is also
sent to the control panel. The rem ote still works as usual but the RF
range goes slowly down. Low battery indication is cancelled when
a new battery is inserted.
To change the battery, unscrew the 2 screws from the back plastic;
remove the cover with the metal strut from the housing and remove the
discharged battery. Then press any button a few times to discharge the
rest of the energy from the capacitors and insert a new battery.
Battery replacement DOESN´T RESET the keyfob settings nor
the locks nor the acoustics.
Don´t throw a used battery into the trash but take it to a suitable
recycling station.
