STRATA PLATFORM
Su nueva plataforma STRATA de JANÉ es un accesorio diseñado para fa-
cilitar la instalación del portabebés STRATA en el automóvil. Con ella no
es necesario instalar los cinturones de seguridad sobre el STRATA cada
vez que lo usa en el automóvil.
La Plataforma STRATA ha superado las exigentes pruebas de seguridad
del reglamento Europeo ECE R44/04.
Esta es Semi-Universal, es decir, es compatible con la mayoría de los
asientos de automóviles, pero en los automóviles que aparecen en la
lista de automóviles la compatibilidad es total. Puede consultar una lista
actualizada de automóviles en nuestra página Web.
Es muy importante que lea atentamente estas instrucciones antes de
usar la Plataforma STRATA por primera vez. Asegúrese que todos aque-
llos que alguna vez la vayan a usar también estén familiarizados con
su correcta instalación y uso. Se ha comprobado que un porcentaje im-
portante de usuarios de sillas de seguridad no instalan correctamente
la silla, entender los manuales de instrucciones y aplicar correctamente
lo que dicen es tan importante para la seguridad como la propia silla.
Guarde las instrucciones en el compartimiento situado sobre la platafor-
ma y consúltelas en caso de duda.

INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES
La Plataforma STRATA se puede instalar tanto en el asiento de-
lantero, si no lleva air-bag, como en los traseros. De todas formas,
se aconseja instalarlo en los asientos traseros. Si lo coloca en el
asiento delantero del automóvil, éste no debe tener air-bag o es-
tar desconectado.
La plataforma STRATA solo puede ser instalada mediante anclajes
ISOfix. Tiene una pata como mecanismo anti-rotación, ajústela co-
rrectamente para que ésta se apoye al suelo del vehículo.
No todos los sistemas son iguales, por lo que le aconsejamos que
la compruebe en el automóvil en la que vaya a ser montada. Para
instalar la plataforma, léase el manual de instrucciones de su au-
tomóvil, en él se le indicará qué plazas son compatibles con la pla-
taforma. La plataforma STRATA es compatible con las categorías
ISOfix: Clases C, D y E.
Es muy importante NO utilizar productos de segunda mano, ya
que JANÉ solo puede garantizar la total seguridad en artículos
usados por su primer comprador.
Con el fin de proteger adecuadamente al bebé y, asegurar su confort y sujeción dentro del automóvil será necesario
que respete las siguientes instrucciones:
JANÉ recomienda sustituir su plataforma STRATA por una nueva
cuando haya sido sometida a violentas tensiones después de un
accidente.
Compruebe regularmente que los anclajes ISOfix y la pata anti-
rotación están correctamente conectados y/o ajustados.
Esta plataforma esta concebida para su uso en el automóvil, por lo
que no se debe usar fuera del mismo.

Coloque la plataforma sobre el asiento de su automóvil con la
pata anti-rotación (2) y la barrera sujeción Strata (10) desplega-
das.
Extraiga los anclajes ISOfix (3) girando el botón (5) situado en el
frontal de la base.
Guíe ambos anclajes (3) hacia los ejes ISOfix de su vehículo y pre-
sione hasta que ambos lados queden bloqueados. Dos señales
verdes en el visor de los botones de liberación (4) le indicarán que
están correctamente anclados. Si uno o ambos indicadores fueran
rojos, vuelva a intentarlo.
Ajuste la altura de la pata (2) para que ésta se apoye en el suelo
del vehículo.
Para retirar la plataforma
Afloje la plataforma girando el botón (5).
Libere los anclajes ISOfix tirando de los botones (4), la señal de los
botones pasará a ser roja. Retire la plataforma.
Para plegar la pata anti-rotación tire hacia abajo y gírela.
Para instalar la plataforma, léase el manual de instruccio-
nes de su automóvil, en él se le indicará qué plazas son
compatibles. La plataforma Strata es compatible con las
clases ISOfix C, D y E.
La pata anti-rotación (2) es muy importante para la seguri-
dad, ajústela correctamente para que se apoye en el suelo
del vehículo. Si la superficie de apoyo de la pata no es el
propio chasis del vehículo (compartimiento portaobjetos
por ejemplo) no instale la plataforma en esta plaza.

Dejar caer el portabebés para que se ancle con anclajes Pro-Fix
(9).
Comprobar que se ha anclado de los dos lados, el indicador debe
estar en verde.
Gire el botón (5) para acercar la plataforma contra el respaldo
del automóvil.
Coloque el asa del Strata en la posición auto.
3. Retirar el portabebés STRATA de
la plataforma
3 - Presione los tiradores situados en los laterales del asa del porta-
bebés para liberar los anclajes Pro-fix y levante el portabebés.
NO dejar nunca al niño solo
Cualquier alteración o adición al dispositivo sin la oportuna autori-
zación de JANÉ puede alterar gravemente la seguridad del sistema
de retención.
No seguir cuidadosamente las instrucciones para el correcto uso
del sistema de retención puede ser peligroso para la seguridad del
niño.
Este dispositivo de seguridad no puede ser usado sin su tapizado, ni
ser reemplazado por uno que no sea el original, ya que éste forma
parte integrante de las características del sistema.
Compruebe que la silla ha sido colocada correctamente.

Lave las partes de plástico con agua templada y jabón, secando
posteriormente todos los componentes concienzudamente.
MANTENIMIENTO
Guarde este libro de instrucciones para futuras consultas. Llévelo
siempre en el compartimiento situado sobre la carcasa (7).
Asegúrese que dentro del automóvil, tanto el equipaje como cual-
quier otro objeto susceptible de causar daños en caso de accidente
estén debidamente fijados o resguardados.
La plataforma deberá estar fijada con los anclajes ISOfix, aunque
no se esté utilizando, ya que en caso de accidente podría resultar
despedida provocando daños a los ocupantes del vehículo.
Recuerde no usar la Plataforma en automóviles dotados de Air-bag
frontal, a no ser que éste pueda ser desconectado o desactivado,
caso que deberá consultar con el fabricante o comercio vendedor
de su automóvil.
RECOMENDACIONES
Tanto para su seguridad como para la buena conservación de
este producto, es importante que haga una revisión periódi-
ca en cualquiera de nuestros talleres oficiales.
Este artículo dispone de garantía según lo estipulado en la ley
23 / 2003 de 10 de julio. Conservar la factura de compra, es
imprescindible su presentación en la tienda donde adquirío el
producto para justificar su validez ante cualquier reclamación.
Quedan excluídos de la presente garantía aquellos defectos
o averías producidas por un uso inadecuado del artículo o el
incumplimiento de las normas de seguridad y mantenimien-
to descritas en las hojas de instrucciones y en las etiquetas de
lavado, así como los elementos de desgaste por uso normal y
manejo diario.
La etiqueta que contiene el número de chasis de su modelo,
no debe ser arrancada bajo ningún concepto, contiene infor-
mación importante.

Your new STRATA Platform from JANÉ is an accessory that has been
designed to make installing the STRATA baby carrier easier in the car.
With the platform it is not necessary to fit the seat belts on the STRATA
every time you use it in the car.
The STRATA Platform has passed the strict safety tests of European
Standard ECE R44/04.
This is Semi-Universal, in other words, it is compatible with most car
seats, but it is fully compatible with the cars that appear on the list. You
can see an updated vehicle list on our web page.
It is very important that you read these instructions carefully before
using the STRATA platform for the first time. Make sure that everyone
who is ever going to use the platform also knows how to install it and
use it correctly. It has been discovered that a significant percentage of
car seat users do not install their seats correctly, understanding the
instruction manual and following it correctly is as important for safety
as the actual seat.
Keep the instructions in the compartment on the platform and consult
them if in any doubt.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
The STRATA Platform can be installed on the front seat, if there
is no airbag, or on the back seat. It is advisable to install it on the
back seat. If you install it on the front seat of the car, the seat must
not have an airbag, or it must be disconnected.
The STRATA platform can only be installed using ISOfix fasteners.
It has a leg as an anti-swivel mechanism, adjust it correctly so that
it is supported by the floor of the vehicle.
Not all systems are the same, so we advise you to check this in
the vehicle in which the platform is going to be installed. To ins-
tall the platform, read the instruction manual for your car, as this
will indicate which seats are compatible with the platform. The
STRATA platform is compatible with the ISOfix categories: Classes
C, D and E.
It is very important NOT to use second-hand products, since JANÉ
can only guarantee the complete safety of articles used by the
original buyer.
In order to protect the baby correctly and guarantee his comfort and safety in the car, it is necessary to follow the
instructions below:
JANÉ recommends that the STRATA platform should be replaced
by a new one when it has been subjected to severe strain in the
event of an accident.
Regularly check that the ISOfix fasteners and the anti-swivel leg
are correctly connected and/or adjusted.
This platform has been designed for use in the car, therefore, it
should not be used out of the car.

To install the platform, read the instruction manual for
your vehicle, which will indicate which seats are compa-
tible with the platform. The Strata platform is compatible
with the ISOfix classes C, D and E.
The anti-rotation leg (2) is very important for safety, adjust
it properly so that it is supported by the floor of the vehi-
cle. If the supporting surface for the leg is not the actual
vehicle chassis (a storage compartment for example) do
not install the platform on this seat.

Place the platform on the vehicle seat with the anti-rotation leg
(2) and the Strata fastening guard (10) unfolded.
Take the ISOfix fasteners out (3) turning the button (5) on the
front of the base.
Guide both fasteners (3) towards the ISOfix axles of your vehicle
and press until both sides are locked into place. Two green signals
will appear on the release buttons (4) indicating that they are
correctly fastened. If one or both indicators are red, try it again.
Adjust the height of the leg (2) so that it is supported by the floor
of the vehicle.
Removing the platform
Loosen the platform by turning the button (5).
Release the ISOfix fasteners by pulling the buttons (4), the button
indicator will turn red. Remove the platform.
To fold the anti-rotation leg, pull downwards and turn it.

Drop the baby carrier so it locks into place with the Pro-Fix fas-
teners (9).
Check that both sides are secure, the indicator should turn green.
Turn the button (5) to position the platform against the backrest
of the vehicle.
Set the STRATA handle to the auto position.
Press the catches on the sides of the baby carrier handle to release
the Pro-fix anchors and lift the baby carrier.
Never leave the child alone.
Any alteration or addition to the device without due authorisation
from JANÉ may seriously alter the safety of the retention system.
It can be dangerous for the child’s safety if the instructions for the
correct use of the retention system are not followed carefully.
This safety device must not be used without its upholstery, or with
different upholstery that is not the original one, as it forms part of
the safety characteristics of the system.
Check that the seat has been installed correctly.

Keep this instruction manual for future reference. Always keep it in
the compartment on the frame (7).
Make sure that any luggage or other objects inside the car that
could cause harm in the event of an accident are properly secured
or stored away.
The platform should be secured with the ISOfix fasteners, even
when not in use, as in the event of an accident it could move and
injure the other occupants of the vehicle.
Remember not to use the Platform in cars fitted with a frontal air-
bag, unless this can first be disconnected or deactivated, if in doubt
consult the vehicle manufacturer or dealership.
Wash the plastic parts with soap and warm water, then dry all the
parts properly.
RECOMMENDATIONS
MAINTENANCE
For your safety and the good conservation of this product, it
is important to bring it to one of our official workshops for
regular inspections.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE GUARANTEE
This article comes with a guarantee in accordance with the
provisions of law 23 / 2003 of 10th July. Keep your receipt as
proof of purchase, it is essential to present the receipt in the
shop where you bought the product to confirm validity of the
guarantee in the event of any problems.
This guarantee excludes any defects or breakages caused by
inappropriate use of the article or inobservance of the safety
and maintenance rules listed in the instruction pages and
on the care labels, as well as faults caused by wear and tear
through normal use and daily handling.
The label displaying the chassis number of the model should
never be taken off, it contains important information.
