CONTROL KNOBS
• Removeknobs in the OFFposition by
pulling up.
•Wash, rinseand dry. Do not use abrasive
cleansersasthey mayscratch the finish.
•Turn on each element to be sure the
knobs havebeen correctly replaced.

Use mild cleansers,such as soapywater
or mild liquid sprays,such asFormula
409* or Fantastik*.Wipe with sponge,
damp cloth or papertowel. Do not scrub
with S.O.S.*padsor abrasivecleansers.
cOOKTOP- PORCELAIN ENAMEL
Porcelainenamel isglass fused on metal
and maycrack or chip with misuse.It is acid
resistant,not acid proof.All spillovers,
especiallyacidic or sugary spillovers,should
be wiped up immediatelywith a dry cloth.
•When cool, wash with soapywater, rinse
and dry.
•Neverwipe off a warm or hot surface
with a damp cloth. This may cause
cracking or chipping.
•Never useoven cleaners,abrasive or
caustic cleanserson exterior finish of
cooktop.
GRILL ASSEMBLY -
BASin- PORCELAin
The basin is located under the grill-rocks.
Cleanafter each useof the grill. The grill
element must be lifted during the cleaning
process.
•To remove light soil, clean with soapy
water or spraywith cleanserssuch as
Fantastik*or Formula409*. Foreasier
cleanup: a) spray with a household
cleanser;b) cover with papertowels; c)
add small amount of hot water to keep
papertowels moist; d) cover and wait 15
minutes; and e) wipe clean.
* To removemoderate soil, scrub with Bon
Ami*, soft scrub cleanser or plastic
scrubber.
. To removestubborn soil, spraywith an
oven cleaner. Letsoak overnight, wipe
clean, rinse and dry.
Note: Checkthe grease drain after each
useof the grill. Toclean: Pour about 1/3cup
of very hot tap water mixedwith 1 teaspoon
dish detergent down the drain.
ELEMENT
• Neverimmerse in water. Most soil will
burn off during use.
GRATES- CAST ALUMINUM COATED
WiTH NON-STICK FINISH
•Wash cool grates (DONOT IMMERSE
HOTGRILLGRATESIN WATER)with
detergent in hot water in the sink or wash
them in the dishwasher. Besure to
removeall food res-idue beforecooking
on the grill grates again.
•Removestubborn soils with a plastic mesh
puff or pad. Useonlythose cleaning
productswhich statethey are recom-
mendedfor usewhen cleaning nonstick
surfaces.
•If grates werewashed in the dishwasher,
seasonwith oil prior to grilling.
•Donot usemetal brushes or abrasive
scouring pads or other scrubbers in-
tended to clean outdoor charcoal grills.
Thesewill removethe finish aswell as
scratch the grates. Do not clean in self-
cleaning ovenor useoven cleanerson the
grates.
GRILL ROCKS = CAST IRON COATED
WITH PORCELAIN
•Thegrill-rocks should be cleanedfre-
quently or after any excessivebuild-up of
grease. To clean light soil, usedetergent
and a plastic scrubber, such asTufty*, or
wash in the dishwasherif burned on
residueis first removed. Forheavysoil,
soak in hot soapy water to which a

cleanser,such as householdammonia, has
been added. Stubborn spots on grill-
rocks, such asburned on residuefrom
sauces,can be scrubbed with a stiff bristle
brush.
An ovencleaner, such as Easy-Offf,can be
usedfor burned on soil. Follow
manufacturer's directions: spray on
cleaner and let soak overnight. Do not
cleangrill-rocks in theself-cleaningoven.
GReaSEDRAinJar
• A drain jar is located
below each grill basin
pan under the
countertop. Check
periodically to prevent
spillovers.Unscrew to
remove.
•If jar is broken, replacewith any heat
tempered jar, such asa canningjar, which
hasa standard screw neck.
JFNOTHINGON THE COOKTOPOPERATES:
•Checkfor a blown circuit fuse or atripped
main circuit breaker.
•Check ifcooktop isproperly connectedto
electric circuit.
