BATTERY INSTALLATION

ba ery compar men .
3. Replace he ba ery compar men door.
BATTERY WARNING
1. Be sure ha he ba eries are ins alled correc ly. Wrong polari y may damage
he uni .
2. Use only he size and ype of ba eries specified.
3. Do no mix old and new ba eries.
4. Do no mix alkaline, s andard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
ba eries.
5. If he uni is no o be used for an ex ended period of ime, remove he ba eries.
Old or leaking ba eries can cause damage o he uni and may void he
warran y.
6. Do no ry o recharge ba eries no in ended o be recharged; hey can

GETTING STARTED
1. Connec he speaker wires o he speaker erminals (#36) loca ed on he back
of he uni .
2. Plug he AC POWER CORD (#39) in o a 120V AC ~ 60Hz ou le .
3. The uni will go in o s andby mode. The STANDBY LED INDICATOR (#5) will
urn on.
4. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) once o urn on he JMC-1250.
The STANDBY LED INDICATOR (#5) will urn off.
Press POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) again o urn off he JMC-1250.
The STANDBY LED INDICATOR (#5) will urn on.

SETTING THE CLOCK
The clock has o be se before using he sys em for he firs ime. When you plug
he sys em in o an AC ou le for he firs ime, he LCD DISPLAY (#2) will show
12:00 and need o be se .
1. Press MEMORY / CLOCK-ADJUST BUTTON (#14), he Hour digi s will flash.
Press OR BUTTON (#12 or #28) o selec he correc hour. Press he
MEMORY / CLOCK-ADJUST BUTTON (#14) o confirm.
2. The Minu e digi s will flash, Press OR BUTTON (#12 or #28) o selec he
correc minu e. Press he MEMORY / CLOCK-ADJUST BUTTON (#14) o
confirm.
3. Press and hold he STOP BUTTON (#8) o change 12/24 hours clock display.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn on he JMC-1250.
2. Press he TUNER/BAND BUTTON (#25) repea edly o en er uner mode and
desired band. The radio frequency will show on he LCD DISPLAY (#2).
3. Press and hold he bu on (#28) or bu on (#12) o search for he nex /
previous available s a ion. If he recep ion is poor, ry Manual Tuning o fine-
une he s a ion.
4.
Press he bu on (#28) or bu on (#12) briefly o manually une hrough
he frequency band.
5. Adjus he volume con rol o he desired volume level.
6. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn he JMC-1250 o
s andby mode af er lis ening.
Setting the Radio Station Pre et
The JMC-1250 allows you o s ore up o 40 s a ion prese s ( AM-20 and FM-20 )
for easy recall a any ime.
1. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn on he JMC-1250.
2. Press he TUNER/BAND BUTTON (#25) repea edly o en er uner mode and
selec FM band.
3. Tune o he radio s a ion you wan o s ore in memory.
4.

MEMORY / CLOCK-ADJUST BUTTON (#14), he prese number “00”
will be flashing on display.
5. Press +10 / PRE-UP BUTTON (#29 or -10 / PRE-DN BUTTON (#13) o
selec he desired prese number ( 00–20 ).

The Radio S a ion Prese s may be los if he main power swi ch is urned off. If
his occurs, you will need o rese he Radio S a ion Prese .
You can overwri e a presen s a ion by saving he new frequency in i s place.
FM and FM S ereo Recep ion
1. Release he FM Mode bu on (#6) o selec S ereo Mode. The LCD display (#2)
will show “ST” when receiving a s ereo program.
2. Press down FM Mode bu on (#6) o selec Mono Mode. The LCD display (#2)
will no show “ST” even receiving a s ereo program.
No e : I is preferable o receive he program in Mono Mode when you are receiving
a weak s a ion.
TIPS FOR BEST RECEPTION
AM - The AM an enna is loca ed inside he cabine of he main uni . If AM recep ion
is weak, change he posi ion of cabine un il he in ernal an enna picks up he
s ronges signal,
FM - During FM recep ion, always keep he FM Wire An enna (#38) fully ex ended.
If FM recep ion is weak ry reposi ioning he FM Wire An enna un il you find
he s ronges signal.
PHONO OPERATION
Noted :
- Remove he s ylus pro ec or.
- Be sure ha he one arm is being de ached from
he one arm res before opera ing and re-secured
again af erwards.
1. Press he PHONO/BLUETOOTH/AUX BUTTON (#24) repea edly o selec
Phono Mode. The LCD DISPLAY (#2) will show PHONO.
2. Se he Speed selec or (#33) o he proper posi ion depending on he record o
be played.
3. Place he record on he pla er; use he SPINDLE ADAPTOR (#32) when
playing 45 RPM records.
4. Lif he one arm from he res and slowly move i o
he record side. The pla er will s ar o ro a e.
5. Place he one arm o he desired posi ion of he
record.
6. Adjus he volume o he desired level.
7. A he end of record, he pla er will au oma ically s op

Remark :
The au o-s op may no work on some records because he play area is ou of he
prese adjus men , so i may s op before he las rack finishes. When his happens
disable he he au o-s op fea ure by placing he au o-s op swi ch (#34) in he “ off
“ posi ion, hen i will run o he end of he record bu will no s op au oma ically
( urn off he uni by power bu on or swi ch back he au o-s op swi ch (#34) o
“on“ posi ion o s op he pla er ro a e). Then pu back he one arm o he res
posi ion.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
Pairing a Blue oo h enabled device wi h he JMC-1250.
1. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn on he JMC-1250.
2. Press he PHONO/BLUETOOTH/AUX BUTTON (#24) repea edly o selec
Blue oo h Mode. The LCD DISPLAY (#2) will show BT.
3. The BLUETOOTH INDICATOR (#18) will flash. The JMC-1250 will go in o
Pairing/Discoverable mode.
4. Turn on he Blue oo h func ion for he device you wan o link o, and enable he
search or scan func ion o find he JMC-1250.
5. Selec "JMC-1250" from he device lis when i appears on your device screen.
If required, en er he pass code “0000” o pair (link) JMC-1250 wi h your device.
6. If you are pairing (linking) your compu er o he speaker using Blue oo h, you
may need o se he JMC-1250 as your compu er’s defaul sound device.
7. Af er successfully pairing he JMC-1250 wi h your Blue oo h device, The
BLUETOOTH INDICATOR (#18) will s op flashing and remain li .
8. If you wan o pair (link) he JMC-1250 wi h ano her Blue oo h device, press and
hold Play/Pause bu on (#22) a few seconds. The BLUETOOTH INDICATOR
(#18) will flash. The JMC-1250 will go in o Pairing/Discoverable mode. Repea
s eps 4 & 5.
Now you can play music from your Blue oo h device wirelessly o he JMC-1250.
1. Selec your favori e song, press he Play/Pause on your Blue oo h device or he
Play/Pause Bu on (#22) on he JMC-1250 o play or pause he song from
your Blue oo h device.
2. Press he Skip Forward Bu on (#12) or Skip Backward Bu on (#9) o
selec he Nex or Previous rack.
(The SEARCH func ion does no apply o Blue oo h opera ion )
3. Slowly adjus bo h he volume con rols of your JMC-1250 and your Blue oo h
device un il you reach a comfor able lis ening level.

1. Refer o he manual of your cell phone, able PC, compu er or o her Blue oo h
enabled devices for Blue oo h opera ion since i may vary from model o
model.
2. If your Blue oo h enabled device does no suppor A2DP profile, i will no play
he music hrough he speaker, even if paired (linked).
3. Remember o urn off he JMC-1250 when you have finished lis ening,

4. Don' forge o swi ch off he power of your Blue oo h device as well.
5. The music playback will au oma ically be paused when you have an incoming
call. When he call is ended, he JMC-1250 will s ar playing again.
AUX IN OPERATION
You can play o her music sources (iPod, MP3 or o her digi al audio players)
hrough he speakers of he JMC-1250 by connec ing he AUX IN Jack (#37) o
your ex ernal player’s audio ou jack or headphone jack.
1. Plug one end of an audio cable (no included) in o he AUX IN Jack (#37) and he
o her end of he cable o he headphone jack of your digi al audio player.
2. Press POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn on he JMC-1250.
3. Press PHONO/BLUETOOTH/AUX BUTTON (#24) repea edly o selec AUX
Mode. The LCD DISPLAY (#2) will show AUX.
4. S ar playing he device you plugged in o he AUX IN Jack (#37)..
5. Slowly adjus bo h he volume con rols of your JMC-1250 and he ex ernal
device un il you reach a comfor able lis ening level.

• If you connec the JMC-1250 o he Line-Ou Jack of your ex ernal device, you
only need o adjus he VOLUME CONTROL of your JMC-1250. If you connec
o he Headphone Jack of your ex ernal device, you may need o adjus bo h
he volume con rols of your ex ernal device and the JMC-1250 o ob ain he
desirable lis ening level.
• Remember o urn off he JMC-1250 when you have finished lis ening. Don'
forge o swi ch off he power of your ex ernal audio device as well.
CD OPERATION
LOADING THE DISCS
1. Press he POWER ON/STANDBY BUTTON (#7) o urn on he JMC-1250.
2. Press he CD BUTTON (#10) o en er CD Mode. The LCD DISPLAY (#2) will
show CD.
3. Press he CD DOOR OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON (#27) o open he CD DOOR
(#17).

When dubbing a pre-recorded casse e ape a high speed, a cha ering sound is

ABOUT CASSETTE TAPES
Whenever you record on a casse e any previously recorded ma erial is erased as
he new ma erial is recorded. To preven you from acciden ally erasing ma erial
which you wish o save, blank casse es are equipped wi h erase preven ion abs
for each side of he ape. If he erase preven ion ab for side A is removed, you
canno acciden ally record on side A. The Record key canno be depressed if he
erase preven ion ab on he casse e has been removed.
To preven acciden al erasing on side A of a casse e use a small screw driver or
similar ool o break off he erase preven ion ab for side A. This preven s he
record key form locking.
If la er you do wish o record on side A of he casse e, cover he ab opening wi h
a piece of cellophane ape. This will allow he Record o func ion again.
CASSETTE CARE
Two common causes of rouble experienced when using casse es are:
1) Tape Jamming – Leading o uneven speed in playback, and
2) Tape Tangling – Where he ape wraps i self around i al par s of he
mechanism.
To reduce he likelihood of hese problems occurring, he following precau ions
should be observed:
Check ha here are no loose layers of ape visible hrough he casse e cen er window
(see Fig. 1). Take up any loose layers, using a pencil or hexagonal barrelled ballpoin
pen, before inser ing he casse e in o he machine (see Fig.2)

If he casse e feels igh while performing opera ion shown (see Fig.2), he ape
may be jamming due o ridges formed in he winding of he ape (visible hrough
he cen er window). These may be removed, in mos cases, by fas winding of
he casse e from one end o he o her and back again.
Use only well-known brands of ape. Avoid use of C-120 casse es.
Fur hermore, do no expose casse es o direc sunligh , dus or oil, and do no
ouch he ape surfaces.
HEAD CLEANING
The ape heads, pinch roller and caps an require periodic cleaning. This removes
par icles of he me al oxide coa ing ha wear off he ape and accumula e on hese
par s and impair performance. Swi ch off he power, press he S op/Ejec key o
open he casse e door, and press he Play key. Clean he ape heads, pinch
roller and caps an wi h a sof clo h or co on pad dampened in isopropyl alcohol or
special ape head cleaner.
